I have given this place three chances to see if they are sensitive to their customers feedback. All three times they have disappointed me. It is safe to say I will never go back there again and strongly encourage you to do the same. If you ever do go back, save face and dont take your friends with you, coz they will serve you bad food. The first time around I ordered Vegetable Biryani, I mentioned a few times that I want it spicy, what I got was lots of white rice with what I could only imagine as frogen mixed vegetables from walmart, forget being spicy, it was not even mild, it was actually bland. The second time around I ordered Gobi Manchurian, what I got instead was Gobi is spices and ketchup, anybody who knows Good Gobi Manchurian knows what I am talking about. The third time was over this last weekend, I took two of my friends who have never been there, but love Indian food. What do we get? Mediocre to non existent service and below par food. This time around, I ordered Samosa Chaat and Gobi Manchurian. I stressed again and again that I want the Gobi Manchurian spicy and dry. I was assured that it was always served dry. When I got the dish, it was fully of gravy, there were about 5 ot 6 Gobi pieces, none of them had the chewy taste of good Gobi Manchurian. The Samosa Chaat was average, but not as tasty as it should have been. My friends who love Indian food ordered what they usually order at other Indian places, Chicken Tikka Masala and Chicken 65 and both had bad things to say about the food and service. We tried complaining about our food and gave our feedback, the guy listened to us patiently and then promptly gave us the check with a smile. What did we do, we just silently signed the check and vowed never to come back to this place. Do yourself a favor, there are plenty of good Indian restaurants in the DFW area that serve great food, have great service and listen to your feedback and ensure customer satisfaction. Summary: Go to any other Indian restaurant and you would have made a smart choice and would have saved yourself and your friends a lot of embarrassment.

I have hosted a party at my home for 90 people. I was little nervous because the guest list were more than 90. I spoke to the restaurant owner "Sunny" and mentioned him the same that the guest list was more than 90 people and I needed a quality service and good food so that everyone are impressed. He said me to not worry and asked me to focus on other arrangements apart from food and quality service. Finally on the party day Sunny and his crew showed up at my home at least 3-4 hrs before with live kabab, different varieties of food and their catering people. I was impressed the boys worked during the party. There was no food left by the end of party. All my friends started appreciating the taste of live kabab, mutton curry, samosa chat etc.. Even the kids eat food without complaining on the food, especially the live kababs. Do not miss their live kabab, samosa chat as an appetizer. For me, this was the best in whole of Dallas Metroplex. I will rate this restaurant as 5 out of 5. I have been so long in Dallas and never Sunny has disappointed me.

This is one of the worst Indian restaurants. Taste of the currys really suck, rice is dry and hard. This was on the weekend buffet and god know how is the taste on the week days. Worst thing is they dont even have paper napkins for customers. Desserts tasted horrible. Finally did not understand why am have to pay here. If you are going to have Indian food first time you may find it good since you did not taste the actual Indian food. But any one who really knows the taste of the Indian food can figure this out as crap food. Walked in hungry and walked out with anger. Dont waste money here. There are lot of restaurants around in Irving and Plano.

Consistently very good flavors. Me and my wife have been coming here for quite some time now. The chef does an excellent job to keep the flavors good and consistent. Hats off to chef for maintaining that consistency. Love the Gobi Manchurian and masala chicken that we ended up catering from here as week. Papads are also good. Very happy to have found this place closer to home. Havent tried the buffet yet as we mostly visit dinner time. Definately our goto place for Indian dining. ****Update Dec***** Regardless however many times we come here, the cook does an excellent job of maintaining the Tasty Flavors. Our favorite Indian restuarant!!

I ordered my dish mild "very mild". It came super spicy, and asked for a new mild dish. Same spice level, and they didnt bring the extra naan we ordered to help with the spice. My friends dish was ordered mild, and it was perfect. I couldnt eat what she ordered because it had dairy in it (and Im allergic). Very disappointed. We had to ask the cook to refill our waters. The rice was ok. The naan was really good. The other dishes were ok. My friend said the navarathan korma lacked vegetable variety. Our server did take my meal off the ticket, which was nice, since I wasnt able to eat it.

I had the best india food experience in Ista restaurant. ..OMG I freaking love this place ...The cook is really talented person..if i had a lot of money I would hire him with any price to cook indian food to me all day long. I got a lot of people suggesting me this restaurant. I had the lunch buffet . I loved how delicious the food was . I even spent there like a whole good hour filling my belly. Staff members were super friendly. I would definitely suggest this spot of all indian food lovers. Surely I will revisit this place the very second I get the chance. THANKS A LOT

Im a regular at Ista. I went there for their buffet and keep coming back. Love their Rava Dosa which is the best Ive had in the DFW area. Being vegetarian myself, Channa Palak, Paneer Jalfrezi, Malai Kofta are my preference here. Friends Ive been with love the tandoori grilled items, kababs, Andhra Chicken and Ginger chicken and ofcourse, the chicken tikka masala. The menu is definitely not pricey at all. Weve also had them cater to a party and the food was delicious and well appreciated. Friendly staff and a family friendly atmosphere.

This place is worst...Lunch Buffet on Thu.. I live in Valley Ranch area and worst restaurant in my area has better food than this restaurant. The food was cold, tasteless, and the lettuce in salad was old...cant believe this place got 4 stars... I was fooled by the reviews.. guess not many reviewers actually had a chance to taste decent Indian food. I just liked the Mango Lassi (and wished they didnt add whipped cream on top) . the service is as good as the food ... Not Going Back !!!

If youve seen any of my other posts you know Im not forgiving when it comes to bad food (lucky panda on 407 for example). Ate at Ista with wife last night. Very impressed. She had chicken tika masala and I had spicy lamb vindaloo. Both were rich and quite delicious. Naan was good. I also had lentil soup which was tasty but cold. Probably left over from the buffet. Hence not 5 stars. But our main dishes were darn tasty. Service was also friendly. Highly recommend this place.
