Save your $13 per adult, $8 per child 2-13, and do as the manager/owner told other reviewers... eat somewhere else. Why 2 stars? 1 star goes to dining room wait-staff. 1 star goes to the place was clean. Not immaculate, but okay-clean... surfaces, dishes, floors... I was okay with all that. -1 star because for a buffet calling themselves "Great" and "Super"... the food selection is neither. There are 4 normal sized buffet tables... 1 full of everything deep-fried... 1 full of everything stir-fried, 1 as a salad bar, and 1 as half-fruit, half-cold-deserts. -1 star because ALL the cooked food was poorly prepared.... ALL the stir-fried food was cooked in too much oil and put into pans swimming in oil still. MOST of the fried foods were over cooked and also dripping with oil... Ive never seen "Chinese donuts" so horribly done before, half-burnt and barely coated in sugar. Did they have Kung Pao chicken?... no they chose to make it Jalapeno chicken? Mongolian beef?... yes but it was more like shredded beef in over-cooked onions and oil. Why was the food like this? Probably because the cooks... an all Hispanic cook-staff (this Saturday) obviously didnt have a clue on how to CARE and PREPARE something resembling CHINESE FOOD. Why do I mention an all Hispanic cook-staff in a Chinese restaurant? Because obviously the owners cared about what people looked like enough to put all Asian wait-staff in the front of the restaurant... but they obviously dont care enough to staff the kitchen with ANYONE who has cooked GOOD Chinese food before. -1 star goes to the restaurant owners obviously not caring one bit about creating a good food experience. They obviously chose the cheapest way to do almost everything there. Have I described the wide selection of cookies? All obviously pulled from their inexpensive boxes and put on trays to the side. How about the cold deserts? Well you had about 4 types of small-cold-cakes, also pulled from boxes and put on the bar. The Jello looked freshly prepared... 3 large trays of it. The 2 or 3 kinds of pudding were freshly dumped from their gallon-sized containers into buffet trays. (I will say the salad bar, and fresh fruit looked okay... that was the most appetizing food they had.) If you want a good Asian buffet experience... search for the one in Carrollton... spend 2-4 less dollars per person there with twice the selection of food, and all of it is prepared well. This "Great Wall Super" buffet in Frisco, just north of 121 on Preston... SKIP IT. We will NEVER be going back. And since it shares the "Great Wall" and "Super" name with other Chinese buffets... it makes me wonder if the owners threw these things all around the wealthy areas of Dallas to simply suck profit from people hoping to get a decent Chinese food experience... I hope not... but now I wonder... because this one in Frisco is NO GOOD and LACKING CARE about the FOOD. This wasnt Chinese food... this wasnt even Chinese American food... this was BAD food. I really cant say that enough to express the disappointment my family and I had there today. Heck... Golden Corrals "Asian section" has better Chinese food in it than this place. Furrs definitely has better fried and stir-fried food than this place. And that Asian buffet in Carrolton nails what a Chinese buffet ought to be perfectly.

My mom, my aunt, and I decided to go to Great Wall Buffet for a late lunch. Although there was a lot of food to choose from the service was HORRIBLE!!! We discovered hair in our food, and after calling this to the attention of our waiter he brought it to the attention of the manager who came over to our table, took the plate, and picked the hair out of it. He broke the hair in half and tried to convince us that this long strand of human hair was chicken hair. Clearly, hair that long did not belong to a chicken. It was a long black strand of human hair, and after being told that it was "okay" if we didnt wanna eat the rest of the food he took the hair from (I told him I was not going to argue with him over whether or not it was human hair and that I was not crazy I know what human hair looks like)... he told us that we could just leave (as in get out of my restaurant). I was appalled! I proceeded to tell him that what he was saying, and the way he was saying it was unacceptable to talk to the customers like that. Most of the time most managers will take the plate, apologize for the inconvenience, and try to do something to resolve the issue, as this was not the case. He continued to argue, and then threatened us with the fact that he was the manager (of which I told him I didnt care who he was, and that he could leave the table because I did not want to talk to him anymore at this point) and then he threatened to call the police. I informed him that I was not intimidated by him calling the police, so he could call whomever he wished to call. We had done nothing wrong...We were done eating, the waiter ( who politely apologized several times, and was shooed away by his rude manager for apologizing) had already taken two of the plates (my aunts and I) as my mom was finishing her food on another plate, and we had already asked for the ticket so that we could pay. We were just about ready to leave when the police showed up. I flagged them down and let them know that I was still there, (I guess he thought threatening us with the police would make us leave. I took over the conversation because how dare he talk to my mother and my aunt in the manner that was attempted), and I explained the whole situation after which they said that once they get the call they have to come out, but they do not get involved with customer service issues. I had already explained to the manager before he even called the police that I was not intimidated by his threats. He stood at the podium where you first come in at and "eagle-eyed" us I guess to see if we were going to haul ass when the police came. The officers were really nice. We explained we were done, and there was no reason for the manager to call the police because it was not like we tried to leave without paying for the food or like we caused a big ruckus to where the police had to be called. The manager was just mad because we were not going to settle for his rudeness. We paid for our tickets quietly and we left quietly. Needless to say we will never return to Great Wall Buffet ever again that was the most horrible dining experience I have ever had at any restaurant list more than in Frisco, Texas. So I would advise anyone who is reading this review do not go to Great Wall Buffet unless you want the police to be called on you for standing up for yourself.

Me and my wife have been going to this resteraunt for about 5 years, The food is pretty good (about average for Buffet) but if you have a problem it does no good to go to0 the manager or owner I just learned. My wife spoke to the manager about how salty the food was on one night and basically got told that is the way it tastes and there are other food establishments to choose from. When I asked for a business card It was like a fight just to get that so I could talk with the owner about it, I was told I could leave my business card so he could who investigate who I am, I told the manager to have him call me then and I was told no he was not going to take the information or a phone number and if I wanted to speak with the owner to come back another day and see if he was there to speak too. When I told him I guess I could get a second opinion threw the health department and Food & Drug Admin, he said I was makeing a threat. When I told him I dont feel like he had the authority to make the decision that I will not be able to call anyone about the company, He told me He was the one in charge and if I didnt like it I could go somewhere else. Okay then, I guess he didnt know here in America, there is freedom of speech and I do get to talk to whom ever I would like within reason, but to throw away 2 customers who eat there twice a month for the last 5 years for asking did you change chefs because there food is very salty all of the sudden is just plain ignorance on a mangers part. Further most mangers would say, oh Im sorry I will look into that, even if they never plan on it at all. To this day I have never been able to locate the owner and Im not going to put that much effort into either, Im just going to another place to eat. So if you know who the owner is please respond, And if you dont like there food, does you no good to complain about it, and Im going to enjoy somewhere elses food where I dont have to deal with some ignorant manager who who is so stupid he looses customers for the owner just to prove his own ego. Feel sorry for the folks who work there
