Good service, but I would have been happier eating at Whataburger. My wife and I celebrated one of our last adult nights out together sans Lilliputian, and we wanted to try something new at the same time. We knew it would cost more (over $100 for two people without apps or desserts), but we thought wed get what we paid for. Who doesnt like playing up-scale every once in a while? It was surprisingly quiet (dead) for a Friday night during prime-time. My steak was ordered medium-rare and came back well done. Theyre a GRILL place, with the word grill in your name. Thankfully the replacement came back quickly, and the waiter was apologetic. The food was okay, but these folks were a little too proud of their craft. The sides with the main course were seriously lacking, and extra sides were over $10 each. If youre not used to spending $1,000 per month for two eating out and using valet to park your Lamborghini, you cant help but see the $ -signs rise without much to show for it. Add to this the unkept bathroom, dusty ledges and dirty light fixtures, and the fact that they serve cold butter with bread and you get our decision to not go back. Hopefully your experience will be different. If youre looking for the same atmosphere with lower prices and much better (and healthier) food, Id recommend Seasons 52. Theyve never let us down.

01/01/2012 We went there for a birthday dinner. We originally made reservations on line for 4 people at 4:30. Another person could join us so the reservation was changed for 5 people and the 4:30 time was no longer available but 5 pm was so that is when we went. We were the ONLY people in the restaurant so we dont know why we could not have been seated at 4:30. Additionally one person ordered the petite filet mignon and requested medium to medium well with no blood. The outer part of the steak was fine but the center was rare. The macaroni and cheese was velvetta cheese with shells with added bacon and mushroom bits. The jumbo lump crab cakes are not 100% pure jumbo lump crab meat as I was told. There is only a small amount of jumbo crab on the top of the cake which the rest is crab claw. A slice of carrot cake was brought out as a birthday surprise. The carrot cake was NOT our choice for the birthday and after the manager heard our concerns with the dinner, he commented that the cake was "complimentary "so we were not charged ( we didnt order it in the first place)and offered a $20 gift card that expires in 2 months. I personally would not go back or recommend it to anyone.

Absolutely the worse steak house w/worse service out of all the top steak restaurants weve been to. I believe both manager and the server either had a really bad day or they simply didnt want to you serve you, the server didnt bother to make any introduction on whats fresh that day, nor tried to recommend anything not a single smile throughout the entire dining experience, found a hair line on the food, manager didnt bother to say sorry looked at my wife like it was our fault when we left. Service date 05/23/2015 2:30pm. To management: If you care to compete w/other great steak restaurants like Papa Bros, Ruths Chris, Chamberlain, you need to put your staff in check. I will be posting the picture of our food served on yelp among other sites.

Make sure you are ready for a big bill....then dive in. This place is really amazing. The first time I came alone and ordered the brick chicken. It was so good I came back. Tonight we had spinach and artichoke dip, best any of us have ever had. Then we shared the Filet medium rare, aged 28 days... Awesome and twin lobster tails...very very good coming from Someone who lived in New England for 15 years. The Mac and cheese side scored another "the best I ever had". We lusted over the lust Zinfandel from Lodi and longed for desert but alas we were all too full. Im convinced it would be equally awesome as was the impeccable service and the greetings and smiles we got from every employee when we entered.

Great service, lovely environment and delicious food.... From the spinach artichoke dip with homemade garlic toasts to the fresh, warm bread that was crisp on the outside and soft 9nside,our meal was off to a great start. Our group of four was pleased with everything we had which included 2 enjoying the filet medallions while the rest of us had fish including the Dover Sole and an outstanding crab stuffed trout. A delightful experience all around. We will be back!

Fairly upscale place however I was astonished as to how well they catered to my wife and I with our 17 month old. I thought as soon as we walked in the door for the first time that this prolly wasnt the best place to bring a toddler. The manager, the hostess, and the server were all fantastic and completely understanding. The food is somewhat pricey but absolutely worth it. Would definately go again for lunch (with the baby even!!).

The Grill on the Alley located at the Dallas Galleria is the best restaurant in the area. Shrimp Louis salad can be prepared with crab and lemon, saffron vinaigrette dressing and is a beautiful dish. Steaks, chicken, and fish are all well prepared I held an advisory board dinner there and The Boardroom is a beautiful location to hold business dinners. The restaurant is well managed.

We came in on Saturday 02/05/17 around 3PM. We were seated promptly and I feel awful that my waiters name escapes me.........and he was TERRFIC. We had the BEST FILET cooked to perfection just as I ordered it, WONDERFUL MASHED POTATOES, THE WEDGE SALAD WAS SO CRISP AND FRESH, THE KEY LIME PIE...INCREDIBLE. This was our first visit to the Grill on the Alley, it wont be our last.

The seared ahi tuna sashimi with the fried spinach is addictive. The Lobster mashed potatoes I could live on. The Grill is the perfect place when you want to go somewhere and let everybody else take care of the details, things are the way they should be and everything is right in the world, here.

Poor Quality and service. 8pm Friday night and the restaurant is empty. I ordered a drink and sent it back for having too much lemon but the bartender didnt offer to remake the drink. The food was very mediocre and they charged more than the menu prices. We wont be back.

The Grill on the Alley is a great spot for lunch with your client or your sweetheart. The atmosphere is elegant, food is delicious and service is excellent. We like to sit in the booths so we can see everybody! Will definitely frequent the Grill on the Alley often.

As a Five Star Restaurant, this is one of my favorite places to eat and take clients in Dallas. Chef Daniel Winans is an asset to the restaurant and to Dallas as a whole.
