First time ordering; last time ordering. It took nearly and hour and a half to receive my delivery and it was not even a peak meal time. I would be okay with that if the food was good, but it was not. Panda Express does better than this supposedly authentic restaurant does. Most of my order was unfit for consumption. The egg rolls were a mystery and so foul tasting that I had to dissect one of them just to see what I was eating. The outside layer was crispy, but there was way too much dough and the inside appeared to be steamed or microwaved and was mushy and wet. There were two pieces of mystery meat (gray and very unappealing) and two thin slices of mushroom (?) with very little (soggy) cabbage. An overall miss. Frozen egg rolls beat whatever these were trying to be. The Mongolian beef was drenched in oil; no discernible sauce--just oil and overcooked onions. This dish was totally inedible. I tried to salvage the meat but it was so destroyed from its grease bath that I had to discard it. They give you plenty of white meat chicken in the Orange Chicken, but it still missed the mark. I could only consume it after I drenched it in some hot mustard sauce I had in my fridge. There was so little sauce on this dish that it was just dry white meat with a hint of heat--no real flavor to speak of. It definitely did not have any citrus or sweet flavor that it should. It had no flavor at all. Long story short, I spend a great deal of money for food that ended up in the trash. It was not even fit for my dog!

Messed up my to go order, even after the girl repeated it to me! Gave me chicken when I ordered beef, gave me wrong egg rolls too, which they charged me for. The food wasnt good. The sesame chicken wasnt beef and was soggy, sub-par sauce. The vegetable egg rolls, supposed to be pork, were soggy in the middle. Why are egg rolls so hard to get right?! Fried rice was ok. Far north Dallas leaves a lot to desire for food. If youre visiting from out of town or state, stick to SW Dallas/Ft Worth area like Grand Prairie, food is always good there. Shanghai Restaurant is no good, dont waste your money! Better off going to the local "Panda Express" in the area if youre wanting Chinese! Anyone who likes this place either doesnt know better as far as good Asian cuisine and/or has no pallet for good food... Went to bed hungry and out $14... Thanks for nothing Shanghai!

Ordered online to have it delivered. Food was okay, nothing special. On the website you HAD to put either credit or cash for the tip part. So I put cash because I dont want to give a tip without getting good service. The guy came, asked me to sign the receipt but still had the food in hand. Then he asked me to give him the tip. I said what? He said you put cash for the tip. I said I know, I give a tip if I like the service, you are not supposed to ask me to give you a tip. He stands there staring at me. I say to him give me the food please and he hesitates and is still just standing there as I close the door. I am not one to stiff a waiter or delivery person but obviously the service must be good. I thought it was ridiculous that he actually TOLD me to give him the tip. Never buying food from here again.

I dont know what these other people are talking about. Ive been coming to this place for 4 years now and food is good every time. Theyre the only place in the whole DFW area that serves pork juice buns. This is the most authentic juice bun recipe that you can get west of the Delaware River. Meaning the only time you get chinese this good is in China Town in New York City! Order the juice buns, chicken fried rice, general tsos, and walnut shrimp. The moo goo gai pan is decent too. Their lunch prices are great and the dinner prices are good and the portions are always large. The juice buns take a bit longer to prepare cause they have to steam them but well worth the wait. I still drive 30 min out of my way to come to this place.

The first time that we ate here over six months ago was excellent. Since then, the food quality has significantly dropped, our order has been frequently wrong, and we have had several delivery orders that have taken close to an hour and a half to arrive. Tonight was the same extended wait, except this time the delivery guy showed up with the entirely wrong order. He told us that "its the same price" and that he "accidentally grabbed the wrong order, but we could have this one for that price." Loved the place originally, but we will definitely not be ordering from here again.

I think the food is great BUT they are painfully slow. We have eaten in-house once - it took over an hour and a half to get our food. We have ordered carry-out (not delivery) twice and each time they said it would be 20 minutes and it was about an hour each time. Its really disappointing because I think the food is just as good as Royal China and the prices are a little better - but waiting an hour when Royal China will have it ready in 10-15 minutes doesnt really work for us.

Its freaking crazy, I had no idea about this restaurant. The staff there only speaks Chinese, so just a heads up. Well actually just based on my visit. They may have English speakers. The price is way better here for dumplings than DTF. But still l always feel no one can top DTF. They have their own version of the Dan Dan noodles which was pretty good What did like is I saw them making some of the food fresh which is a plus. Overall Ill visit again for more food.

Place a take out order.. I waited 50 mins, people came in 20 mins after I placed my order and were eating before I got my food. I get home, grease soaked scallion pancake, under cooked dumplings, and to top it off, I ordered meat dish, ended up with scallops which Im allergic to! Thanks for the absolutley Horrible Christmas dinner!!! Pass this one up. Go to preston royal instead!

After ordering for delivery, and waiting for an hour and a half, they still had not arrived with our food. They then argued with us back and forth for 5 minutes about whether or not they would cancel the order and give a refund - during which the food finally arrived. 1.5 hours after order, with overly salty food. Very disatisfied. Horrible service. 10/10 would not do this again.

Broccoli and beef is so good, I order it everywhere else and nothing comes close. Also the fried rice is great, I have eaten that for a meal before! I used to work near this place and I miss it now that I dont.
