At one time we considered May Dragon to be the best Chinese restaurant in the Metroplex. However, several years ago after 2 consecutive unpleasant experiences we decided to take it off of our list. This past weekend family members convinced us to give it a try. The experience reassured us that taking it off of our list was warranted. The service was unbelievably bad, it took forever to get our food. The duck was nothing but fat, the other dishes were mediocre at best. The server never came around to see if everything was ok, and we had to ask for drink refills. We were in a large party, 12 people and when the bill came and the waiter gave himself a 20% tip we got very annoyed. I went to look for the manager but no one would admit to being in charge. I did find the server and asked him if he thought he had given us good service and he agreed that he had not. In the meantime, I see several otherl tables walking out in disgust. The excuse we were given was that there was a large wedding party in a private room, however, upon speaking to some of the people at that event, they too were disgusted. If you want a good Chinese dining experience I suggest you try someplace else, because May Dragon is run like a Chinese fire drill, not a Chinese restaurant.

We went to the May Dragon on a Living Social deal... what a great introduction to a restaurant! I got the Peking Duck (on recommendation from a friend) and it was DELISH!! DH got Moo Shi Beef and he loved it, said the beef was tender and flavorful. DD got sweet & sour chicken and ate almost all of it. We also got pan fried dumplings as a starter and they were sooo good! We kept the dumpling sauce and I used it on my rice too. Our waiter was slightly withdrawn, to put it gently, but I got the distinct impression that he was totally exhausted and just couldnt put on a happy face. He did bring everything as ordered and did a good job technically; it was just his attitude and interaction with us that wasnt "A" game material. Aside from that, our food was as ordered, hot and delicious, he accommodated extra requests, and wasnt impolite or rude. To be fair, it was right before Christmas and almost all service people wed encountered that week were pretty much the same. I thought the restaurant was nice and the hostess was very nice. We will go back!!

Moved to new area looking for good Chinese delivery food. Found this place a little bit above my budget but splurged due to working over-time for the last four months every week. Food was excellent and everything I expected and more. I had the crispy fried duck with veggies and fried rice amazing! My roommates had the orange chicken and chicken terriyaki. Also ordered crab ragoons and spring rolls. All of the food was excellent. The only draw back is that we paid a $5 delivery charge and when we went to tip the driver $4 he said "Large order why you not pay more?" Ummmmm because you delivered the food and you did NOT cook it. I think $9 in delivery and tip charges on a $63 order for takeout isnt bad for going two miles down a road and back. I probably wont order from here again because of that though maybe dine in.

I love this place. The fish is fresh and the atmosphere very cozy. Some sushi places go with loud music and an enviroment that can make it hard to hear the person youre eating with. Mr Sushi feels like your dining at relatives place. I ordered sushi A..a sample platter and it came with some things I wasnt quite sure of. The bartender was great in explaining what it was. It can be intimidating trying new things but she seemed genuinely excited I was willing to try. I learned sea urchin isnt for me but salmon eggs are. Its not all that adventerous..all the traditional rolls youre thinking of can be had, theyre made right there at the sushi bar in sight of everyone. Also I finally found a miso soup to be fired up about. I can see being a regular here even when i dont eat. Its great.

This place doesnt even deserve a 1 star. My husband and I went to May Dragon because we had a Groupon. It was a Saturday at 6:30 pm (so it should have been a full house); however we were the only ones in the restaurant. We were assigned an older grouchy server. When we told him we had a groupon we got upset and listed ALL the menu items that were NOT allowed by groupon.... I had a question about an item not listed, and he said in a very rude way that before I came in I should have read all the guidelines, and that if I wasnt satisfied, then I should get my money back. WTH!!!??? Never have we had such a disrespectful server. So I told him I would indeed get my money back, and got up and left. We heard him yelling in some Asian language as we left.... so disrespectful!!!

Our dining experience on March 7, 2015 was terrible. The food was fair to good but the servicing wait staff to get drink refills and condiments. Also the food was slow getting to the table and one of the dishes was the wrong item; pork instead of beef. We had five in our party. We talked to a lady at the front counter and she said they were short handed and did not offer any apology or attempt to make it right. The wait staff was the same way. They were not at all friendly. Dont waste your money on this restaurant.

Initially, the ornate decor had me thinking this place was going to be beyond my wallets comfort zone, but I soon discovered otherwise. The portions are very generous - you WILL have tasty leftovers to enjoy later. The meat is cooked consistently well, the sauces are flavorful and the service is quick and friendly. Try the curry pork or go for a tried-and-true classic like the beef with green peppers - but dont leave until youve tried the phenomenal BBQ spare ribs! The peking duck is a great value as well.

Excellent choice for legit Chinese (mostly Hunan and some Szechuan, I think) food and hospitable service. I tried Peking Duck for the first time, and it was delicious. The egg drop soup was thick and flavorful, and the hot tea hit the spot. Our first server said he spoke Japanese, Mandarin, Korean and Spanish, but not English. So he switched out with a server who spoke English. That worked out well. Oh, yes. They also had live piano music. Great dining experience, with authentic food.

If you want to get Down on some awesome Chinese Food..then gather up a posse and get yourself over here to May Dragon...Lunch or Dinner. I have been here a number of times. Nothing real fancy, but is a good Date Night place. This recent trip just confirmed that the quality of food and service is consistent...the the ownership/management give a Dam and treat you like a friend. This is my go-to Chinese Food restaurant. Check it out.

My friend introduced me to this restaurant last week. Ive lived in North Dallas forever, but didnt know it was in my backyard! A good bang for the buck. Portions are big and the food tastes good and is healthy at the same time. They use no MSG. We had delightful and quick service. The waiters are very responsive and knowledgable. Also had a yummy Mai Tai in a cute Hawaiian mug. Great in every facet!
