Customer Service! Drove out to Goodfriend to get the Deep Ellum Fascinating Bellman. Called ahead since it was going to be a long drive from Euless... spoke to Carlos and he said come on out and miss the crowd. So we did... sat through horrible traffic but we were on a mission... me for the beer and Adam for me. This was such an awesome place, friendly folks, Carlos was such an awesome bartender! He remembered me calling and asked if we came from Euless and set us up. We had the beer I wanted, had some amazing cheese fries (half order because d@mn) and as it looked like time to go, Carlos let us know they had a very rare beer on tap with very little left... Three Philosophers bourbon barrel aged, so we had to have one! (Shared as it was 11.5%) While it may be easy to give good customer service, Carlos wrote the book on GREAT customer service! We had such a great experience that despite the distance we have decided that we will be coming back to spend another afternoon at Goodfriend. THIS is what every craft beer joint should be

Came to have drinks and dinner and support a friends meet new greet and spend about 75 bucks. My wife and I are disabled, they were so busy for a Wednesday and had to sit on kegs till a couch spot opened but we didnt mind. We had ordered a drink from the bar finally snagged a couch spot, and we were trying to flag a wait person. I noted we saw other orders taken and delivered to this area and chose from the menu ready to order apps and dinner in one shot. We finally got a hold of someone, who told us she was the hostess and couldnt take our order and had to check with the bartender, who returned a message we had to order at the bar. We stayed on switched to water, and finally went somewhere else to eat a few hours later.

Great place to take good friends. Menu is mostly burgers, but theyre all unique and always taste great. The sides are also special compares to the average burger joint. They have fried green beans and sweet potato fries. Aside from the burgers, there are cheese fries available in full/half orders and some sandwiches. I have also been on occasions where they have "chef specials" where the chef creates a special dish for the day. The only downside to this place is the price. Between a burger and fries adding up around $16 and pint glasses ranging from $5 and up, the bill runs up quick. Ive never left with a bill under 50. But the atmosphere and beer selection are definitely superb.

Let me start off my staying I really enjoy the atmosphere of this place. I like how the bar and restaurant open to the patio and I love that people can bring their pets here. The service is always great and the food is pretty good most of the time. I had a drink called the cock fight (I think?) last time I was here and it was good and strong. But with all of that said, its so expensive!! $14 for a burger that comes without fries is just insane. I cant come here as often as Id like because its just too expensive for me. Parking sucks also. Its always so crowded theres never any parking available in their lot so you have to park across the street or at the gas station next door.

My wife and I love it! Burgers are tastey and original, the only thing I would change is sometimes there is far too many things going on that make no sense and just confuse the plate. Just so we are clear, this place is amazing i just have to be honest. Staff is always friendly and we tip well because if this. Beer selection is okay( I wish there was a good triple on tap more often, Oak highlands freaky deaky woild be amazing). I recommend this spot to anyone who likes a cool atmosphere with excellent service and a good menu

The food is decent, and the staff are nice, but the "open seating" on the patio has to go. My husband and I stood on the patio with our dog for almost 30 minutes, waiting for a table. Some people got up to leave, and a group that was sitting at the high top bar area moved over to the table we had been waiting on. The busser said nothing and just looked at us and shrugged. We left. As veterans, memorial day is an important day for us. Oh well, i guess we can only come here on off hours or not at all.

The butter cake is akin to french toast. Served with vanilla ice cream, its delicious and more than enough for two (or maybe three) people. The dip trio (or whatever its called) is served with fantastically fresh tortilla chips, and who doesnt like waffle fries? The veggie burger was just okay, but topped "el salazar;" it was spicy. The portions are pretty generous here, and the food is good; Ill definitely make a return trip. (But why is it so dark inside?)

Great place with an awesome beer selection and an even better food menu. Bar and waitstaff are so friendly and make you feel like a regular on your very first visit. Be sure to ask about any specialty beers that they may have on tap. Carlos has the ability to bring in beers no one else in town can get their hands on. Dont forget to ask what their daily food specials are as well.

It was a rare evening where I craved a solid burger and Goodfriend delivered! I went with the original P.L.O.T and it was delicious. Only 1 cider on tap. Indoors was kind of dark,but outside was a nice setting. Im looking forward to going back and trying another burger on their menu with more unique ingredients. They will get a 5th Star from me if they add more ciders!

The atmosphere and drink selection is one of the best in East Dallas, with a great patio for outdoor seating. The entrees alway sound amazing, but are poorly executed and leave me somewhat disappointed. I usually stick to the appetizers and thoroughly enjoy my experience.

The goodfriend beer garden is good place for a burger and beer they have tons of beers on tap and bottle and they know their beers they have some intresting burgers but are really good they get inventive with their beers good place friendly staff

This place is great for an all night drinking experience or just stopping for a quick bite and a beer. The staff and bartenders are sweet. Very nice family-friendly environment.... I would suggest this to anyone in my family and my network...

Fairly hipster place in East Dallas. Great rotating beer selection and delicious burgers. The patio is nice, and lots of people bring their dogs. Service is often quick and friendly, and will bring bowls of water for the dogs outside.

Really love the atmosphere and food/drink selection. Only rated 4 stars because of the occasional average service (most of hr time its great) and the fact that they are sometimes out of the beers on the menu which we really enjoy.

Love this place! The staff is awesome and always very knowledgeable about the huge beer selection. There arent many places in Dallas that I like to hang out with friends and grab some food and beer more than Goodfriend.
