Love this place! I tried the vegan BBQ sandwich with the French fries, and I have to say its my new favorite. The pan dulce is delicious too...but make sure you show up early because theyre always sold out by the afternoon. Jaime bien cette restaurant...jai mangé le sandwich de BBQ et cest délicieux! Le pain cest mon préféré ...vraiment exquis! Et le meilleur chose: tout est végétalien! Aussi le garçon qui travaille au registre est très mignon.

Went to this restaurant thinking it was going to be amazing based on the reviews and seeing that it was 100% vegan. Now going in, I didnt realise that the tamales and burritos were only on the weekends, so that was a let down. My friend and I both ordered the enchiladas which was 10.50 a plate. When the food was ready, it was the smallest portion of enchiladas I had ever seen. I couldnt believe I paid so much for so little food. The enchiladas were the worst part of the meal. They were cold and had a very bitter taste to them. I was confused on if they were supposed to be cold but it definitely didnt taste right. The beans tasted like they came out of the can and the rice was just ok. Im definetley not going back to this place and I hope someone else reads this review before going.

Legit Mexican vegan tacos and flautas! They are both so good! The salsa passed my Mexicans husbands test (he has to have a good salsa). My husband Isnt even vegan and he loved the tacos. When I was a meat eater, my favorite food was tacos. So now the void in my heart has been filled! This Mexican family adopted the vegan diet in support of their dad, who was suffering from heart problems. Needless to say, the dad is completely healthy now and they continue their vegan lifestyle as a family. So awesome! The deserts are good as well, but we came for the tacos! (Right now they serve vegan tacos on Thursdays, as well as Saturdays and Sundays from 5pm-8pm)

This restaurant is something else. This is not an exaggeration. This IS the best restaurant.ive eaten all the vegan food in Austin. Not even close to this. Im living in Michigan now but I am contemplating going back to Dallas but not because I miss my family nor for my friends its because of El palote. I hope you go and experience the finest vegan food in the universe for yourself. Dont take my word for it. Please get the flautas in the sauce they are to die for (literally I would die for these) also the BBQ sandwich that they smoke for 4 hours is bliss to the mouth. Before I went to El palote I used to eat to live...But now I live to eat

Absolutely Amazing - my husband and I visited this weekend after leaving another vegan spot and we are SOOOOO very happy that we did. Hubby ordered the brisket sandwich and I ordered the tacos. We could not believe our mouths!!! Pure Joy from the first bite until the last. Great food, fast service, awesome staff...wonderful experience. We saw this place featured on the local news and we have been anxious to visit them ever since however, we live in Burleson and the trip just seemed so far out of the way. So happy we decided to make the trip - it was worth it. We will visit again along with all our friends and family.

A really great place to go eat! I went 3 times and its always been pleasant. Even my non vegan boyfriend loves the food! (He prefers the torta with bistec) A bit pricey, but if you come with an open mind its all really good. For two people, both meals are about $20-$40. They have certain food on certain days. And the menudo is only served on the weekends! (My favorite) Its really good food and its all vegan! It doesnt taste vegan but it does taste great. The sweet bread is about $2 and is awesome for after your meal! Overall this place is cute, the food is yummy, and its perfect if you want to try new things!

We were looking for a vegan place to try today and googled vegan near us. WOW!!! Found this gem! Very impressed!!! You come in and it appears to be too packed. But it works really well!! As you wait the ones that are eating finish and go. It keeps cycling this way. The food is made fresh. Its hot and very tastey. We had tacos and flautas. Looking forward to trying it all!! We WILL be going back. A very well oiled machine here juggling dine in and carry out. GREAT JOB AND THANK YOU

This place was amazing. Ive never had such tasty vegan Mexican food before! It was busy and the wait was long, but it was worth it. My sister and I shared a torta and some tacos (because we wanted to try the different types of "meats"). It was all delicious. Now I can finally say that theres a taco place I can go to where my options are more than just subbing beans for meat. Cannot wait to see how this place grows and if they will introduce other food options!

A wonderful little mom and pop shop that offers traditional mexican food and pastries but everything is Vegan! This is wonderful because as a mexican, I find it hard to take my vegan friends to an authentic mexican restaurant that offers anything for them to eat. :-) Love what they are doing. Keep it up! Tacos Al Pastor were good, but I preferred the Canitas tacos. The rice and beans were both delicious, and so was the pan dulce! Will be back.

I originally came to this location because my wife is unable to eat any meat, not by choice mind you. The constant search for edibal items that could come close to her feeling normal again was a constant struggle. Now shes Very happy , El Palote Panadería has done something for us beyond making a Vegan taco and tamales. I truly thank this location for the great service and great food. 10 stars all the way. Happy wife happy life !

My mom and I were regulars at this place coming about once a week. We love it so much and are so happy their is a vegan Mexican place near by. I havent been since they got so popular but trust me no matter how much you have to wait its worth it. These are kind people who put love into their food and the authenticity we look for is definitely there. Please give this place a try in order to keep this business going.

This place was amazing. My wife and I went for the Vegan Thursday we drove over an hour from Fort Worth and it was well worth the drive. We tried 4 different tacos, 3 different breads, Jamaica, and lemonade, everything was great. My wife, who is from Mexico was amazed at how similar their vegan tacos were to the traditional Mexican street tacos. We plan on making this a regular Date night option.

15 minute wait to order. The person taking orders is also taking phone orders they will do ahead of you. He told the person on the phone 50 minutes. Then we ordered and he told us 1 hour wait for our food at a counter-ordering food place. There is nowhere to sit inside because there are so few seats. I was really excited to try it and we drove all the way from Allen in the rain. We wont be back.
