I came from Oklahoma to try the poblano soup since Ive heard so much about it. It was delicious. I also had the breaded green tomatoes. They were awesome. My daughter ordered the stuffed avocado and it was also an excellent choice. You have to arrive before 12 because it gets full fast and you will have to wait a bit. The cafe also has artwork for sale on the walls. The staff is very friendly and offered me a sample to try of the poblano soup. Recommend coming here as I plan on visiting again.

Service is awesome, great wait staff, but the whole restaurant smells horrible, it smells like pinesol, as if they put cleaning product EVERYWHERE, when we leave, our clothes smell like cleaning products as well, and I have even had the takeout and you can taste it in the food sometimes. My only recommendation is that they calm it down on the over cleansing. however the poblano soup is AMAZING and the sandwiches are very tasty, décor is not so nice, very weird.

Poblano soup is very good. I get this every time I go! I do not recommend getting a sandwich because you get the thinnest layer they can possibly put on. Comparable to spreading butter on bread. We had to open up the sandwiches to even make sure there was something in there besides lettuce. This is true for the salads, too. Huge salad, excellent dressings, but stingy on the protein. My opinion, stick to the soup and you wont be disappointed.

Good food and friendly staff. A little high prices for the smallish portions, at least for chicken salad and fried tomatoes. But very tasty, so I didnt mind much. Another knifeful of the spread and maybe a slice or two more of tomatoes and it would have been perfect. Fun decor and artwork, attentative waitress. Will be going back again, place deserves to be as popular as Hesters, less crowded, just as tasty, a little bit cheaper.

This little place was worth the prices: the poblano soup was the highlight, but the sandwiches and fruit were very good as well. I didnt like the homemade chips, but the other things made the dinner overall very satisfying. I wish the half cup of soup was half the price of the full, as its only one dollar cheaper. The decorations and music are very hipster and enjoyable. Definitely worth it!

Finally checked out this spot and Im upset that i didnt come sooner. Great atmosphere and friendly staff. Started of with the poblano soup and it was on point! Ordered the daily special blt with bacon fresh mozzarella fried green tomatoes and a nice pesto served with homemade chips. Finished with a slice of toffee cake. I will be returning!

My fiance and I came 3 months ago and Im coming back to write this review because I forgot to when we left. But it left that big of an impact on us. The poblano soup that everyone talks about is reason enough to go. But the blt we got was one of the best Ive ever had. Have to go if youre looking for a cool place for lunch.

Make sure you try the poblano soup....it is amazingly good! Everything Ive ever had has been great. I work in general aviation and I send pilots here all the time. They are always so pleased with the recommendation that they bring me back soup!

Hesters doesnt even come close! ! Great atmosphere, great food, great service. Clean and tidy not to mention all the conversation pieces! I always loved that Austin vibe you get without taking the drive.
