First off, Im not a professional chef but Ive been cooking since I was 10 and Im now 24 years old. We came down for vacation and ordered delivery on the first night because we were so worn out from the driving. We ordered the Italian chicken wings, the Chicken Marco Pollo (described as but isnt Chicken breast with white wine, garlic and butter sauce over noodles), and the pepperoni rolls. Chicken wings - they looked like rat legs that were deep fried with herbs. So disgusting and dried out it was unedible. Chicken Marco Pollo - they cut a peice of chicken breast in half, there was no "white wine, garlic, and butter sauce", chicken was dry and no flavor, and noodles were undercooked. To top it off they put a peice of lunch meat on top with cheese. Disgusting. Pepperoni rolls - dry, no flavor, and soggy. Do not eat here, its disgusting and all this cost me $37.00 with tip. I wouldnt have paid $1.00 if I knew it was this bad. I hope they get shut down.

Calling In My Order I ordered for delivery and was impressed right off the bat when I asked if the ravioli came in white or red sauce and he said red but gave me the option of Alfredo. I even called back and asked for a different size pizza and mine was already started but he changed it up Delivery I could only give a three dollar tip because I had so much change that I traded my neighbor a 10 dollar bill and 7 dollars in change for a twenty so I did not have to load the delivery person up with change. I always like to give a better tip. Next time for sure! Food: Was REALLY skeptical of the pizza - thin but it turned out to be the best pizza Ive had in ages. And have had alot. They do not load up the tomato sauce and cheese and I like that. And my Robbies meal - the breadsticks and ravioli were perfect as well, my son was very happy!

I am consistently disappointed by both the food and the service at Island Italian, which is a shame. Every time I think it will be different but its just not that good, especially for the prices that they charge. If it were half the price, that would be one thing, but its not. The garlic bread reminds me of the stuff you got at summer camp as a kid (think hot dog bun and liquid butter), salads pre-made hours before and waiting in the fridge, overcooked pasta, sauces with more onion than tomato, server brought my toddler iced tea (vs. requested water)... too painful to go on. If you must go, I recommend having a beer and enjoying the local music on the weekend. Beyond that, caveat emptor! Two stars for live music.

My 6 year old son wanted to leave a review. Here we go! "This place is great. These are the best burgers. I love these burgers. These are so good. The waiters are nice. I dont like the fries as much but theyre good. I love their Shirley Temples. This place is great and I love their ice cream sundaes. My mom let me have one on a normal day. My dad didnt want to come to this place before but then he really liked the food here. I wanted even more burgers but we left. My mom is nice because she lets me have a normal burger and a patty burger when Im done. Thats why my moms nicer than my dad." There you have it. Shoulda sprung for that extra patty!

This place was horrible! The musician was excellent though. A very talented man & we tipped him. Where to start...the food was Luke warm at best. It was VERY bland, absolutely no flavor. The portion of our food was small. The price of our food was WAY TOO HIGH! Their menu bragged about their chicken being Tyson meat; the frozen meat that Walmart sells, you know the microwavable stuff. Well, it was obvious that our meal was a very expensive, very poor quality, microwavable dinner. We feel like we totally got taken by this one. My wife became sick within minutes after we walked out. DO NOT EAT AT THIS RESTAURANT.

I travel ten months out of the year, and being on the road I have eaten out almost every day of the week. We came to the island and wanted some Italian food. Ordered the pizza, it did not resemble the picture it was advertised in and tasted no better than pizza you can get at a gas station. I swear it was a frozen pizza bought from a store. Also ordered the eggplant Parmesan, which tasted pretty good, however the red sauce had no flavor whatsoever. It was just disgusting. I would never come to this place for food ever again. For me to not finish a slice of pizza, it has to be absolutely horrible.

Good experience tonight. Our server, Linda, was fantastic, running from one side of the restaurant to the other, but managedto take care of not only her tables, but helped other servers as well. Food was pretty good, couple of mistakes, but the restaurant was packed so understandable. Management needs to do some organizing, ie, assign sections for the servers, designate a food runner/salad maker, and service would go a lot smoother. Will definitely be back, one of the best Italian places in Padre and surrounding area.

You will have a better meal dumpster diving behind a Red Lobster. I created a Google+ account specifically to relieve myself of the disgusting food I just ate from this place. The pizza tasted more like paste and crayons than food. The bacon on the pizza smelled and tasted spoiled. The antipasto salad was just a pile of sandwich toppings with no tomato and no dressing. The steak was more like a sweaty Reebok than real meat,and the baked potato was obviously cooked 3 days ago. Vacationers beware.

Ive been a customer for many years being an island native. I have yet to experience bad dining from this restaurant. I mostly order food to be delivered and they are always easy to talk to on the phone and quick to deliver food as promised. I think their chicken parmesan is the best out there and their fettucine alfredo with huge bay shrimp is awesome! Island Italian also serves really good made to order steaks too. Their famous homemade House dressing is excellent!

We called in a takeaway order. They were courteous & fulfilled most of our order. The food was tasty, but if you order Chicken ala Tag, dont expect any chicken! I had, maybe, a 1/16th of a chicken breast in with my fettuccine. So, I basically paid $13.99 for some noodles and sauce! Really?? We live in the time of Yelp & reviews! Also, our Spumoni was Vanilla ice cream. Even though the food that we received tasted great, we wont order here again!

My Family and I came in from San Antonio to try some so called Italian food which i may say that it is far from that. We had the veal and chicken parm. which i cant believe u can burn the chicken but not only that the veals texture was like rubber with absolutely no taste. I would not recommend this restaurant to even a worse enemy save your money the veal is no were near worth !5 plus dollars and the service was not any better

This place is amazing the first thing I saw was the authentic decor every were from fish tanks to funny little signs! and the service was amazing a young lady named nesy served us and she was very observant and was extremely kid friendly and nice! the food was really amazing! Our server Nesi was on the job! My tea never got empty and the order was perfect! Give this place a try if your in North Padre!
