I went to this place with the Mrs and my 2 kids. When first walking in we were greeted by a fountain like we were headed to a banquet or something. Inside, they have a hibachi grill, which we didnt even try (no room), sushi bar, dessert bar, salad bar and about 6 hot bars for selection of anything from Italian to Chinese. There was this one dish called beef pie which was basically like a brisket in a fried shell. I know, it sounds awesome and it was the highlight of our table. Even my 18 mo old couldnt get enough of it. There was also a good selection of seafood, which shouldnt be a surprise since were near the gulf but regardless was great, especially the flounder. So why the 4 stars you ask? First of all, for me to rate a place with 5 stars would mean it was exceptional up and down the line and all boxes checked. Unfortunately, I cant say that for this place. The water was OK, tasted slightly funny, like it needed better filtering or something. Another minor complaint is they charged full price for our 11 yr old which most places that I know give you til 12. Speaking of the 11 yr old, she said one of the bathroom toilets wasnt working and another needed to be cleaned out. This is a major oversight to me especially in a busy establishment as this. Another minor gripe was some plates werent cleaned thoroughly, which wasnt too big of a deal because we just picked the next one. Again, these were just minor complaints to prevent me from rating it perfectly. However, the major boxes were checked: taste; check. variety; check. price; check. sushi; check. Ambiance and other things like that shouldnt matter at a buffet. Im not sure why some other reviewers have such a bad score, which is mainly why Im reviewing because I dont do it often. This place was so good to us my daughter mentioned coming back to Corpus just for this place. And thats saying something because we live 6 hrs away!

My affectionate name for this place is the Super Crazy China Buffett and is a favorite for lots of reasons. The owners are nice, it is a very large place with plenty of parking. Has a great menu for togo or dine-in, or sample foods from the buffet, including the likenesses of Asian, Mexican, Italian and American foods...I especially like the Hibachi Grill...A build your own style of eating cooked right in front of you...tip the cook if ya want! This is a high traffic area. I suggest accessing it from Williams Dr. instead of from S.P.I.D.

Cold food. Any raw meats, such as the beef at the hibachi grill are not at all fresh and mostly blackened (a sign that the meat has been out too long). Many of the desserts are poorly made and there is little to no variety of flavor in this place. Most items here are either fried or stir fried with soy sauce. The sushi is the only reason that this buffet is not receiving at 1/5. Simply put, the sushi rivals other buffets (obviously nothing close to a formal sushi bar) but it has variety that many buffets lack.

We come down to Corpus Christi for weekend vacations. This restaurant is our childrens favorite. There is a surprisingly wide variety of cuisine offered on the buffet not just American Chinese food. Fairly priced for the variety of food offered. The indentured servants/ wait staff are very friendly and professional. Overall, we recommend this for fun family dining and hope that all staff are actually working there under legal US immigration visas and of their own free will...

wayyy too much MSG couldnt even finish one plate and im a garbage disposal when it comes to buffets. I even had the nerve to ask the waitress if they use MSG(first time ever asking anyone by the way) and she told me yes as well as saying all asian restaurants use it as well....i know thats not true. i know some do but not every one as she pointed out...i was so upset...the food was good dont get me wrong but a little heavy on the MSG

The inside looks decent. Clean and our waiter stopped by the table to refill our drinks often. Sadly to say the food here is very bland or worse. The ice cream area had 1 scoop and the line was long. The wash area for the scoop had filthy water. Idk if you would want to scoop ice cream with a scoop covered in dirty water. Overall the place was clean with okay staff the food however is a completely different story.

The food was old. I tried their kung pao chicken and it was like chewing a rope. The only reason Im giving it 3 stars is because you can choose ingredients and have them grill your own meal. I tried that and it was fresh and tasty. The griller adds the sauce himself and it was well seasoned. They also have hard serve ice cream, which was the only other part I liked. All in all it was a very mediocre buffet.

Love this place. Especially to go. Its so cheap for a to go plate. N u get a little of everything. I cant think of any complaints except the griller. Sometimes he can under cook your chicken n shrimp, but i guess thats more on the customer for communication. After eating n walking out. Dont forget to make a wish in their coy fish pond. Its a little traditional habbit youll love to develope.

The food doesnt seem to get swapped out enough. If you go during dinner they will have new food constantly because of the crowd. I have seen OLD food get mixed in to new food, multiple times. Cleanliness wasnt too great and the quality of the food was mediocre. Go to another Asian restaurant for a more authentic experience.

Best Buffet so far in Corpus Christi. Seafood, Sushi, Steaks, Hibachi Grill, Chinese, American, Mexican and Italian food. Largest Buffet with a large assortment of items to pick from. Could be Improved with the addition of Crab Legs and Oysters on weekends. This place has the best Menudo in Corpus Christi.

Too bad about the reviews below. It was great when I went last year. These are the same guys that ran Ichiban, near the greenwood theaters. That restaurant was stellar, and my wife and I boo-hood when they closed it (all Asian staff). Ill give Hibachi another go, though, as Im sure they read the reviews :)

My family and I go here often as the food is always good and the staff is accommodating. They seem to always want to funnel us to the back dining area, but are fine with letting us sit where we want when we ask. Good place to eat. Asian music and more staff interaction would send this place to the top.

The food was ok not great but not bad. Service was horrible. Waited for 15 minutes for someone to refill our tea. Finally had to flag down someone to get me tea. I asked for un sweet tea the wait person repeated my order. She brought me sweet tea. Had to flag down another person to reorder tea.
