None of the food was decent quality, the shrimp didnt even taste like shrimp, the rest of the fish, and the fried okra for that matter, literally had no flavor. The steak was very unevenly cooked and even worse was more than half of it was fat, Im not on a diet here, nor do I expect super lean food from this place, but seriously? The soda was borderline flat, and had almost no syrup, it may as well had been day old club soda. Speaking of day old, the pizza looked like it was little Ceasers rejects from two days ago, I didnt even wanna try it. The tongs for the biscuits fell on the floor from one of the customers, and the staff just picked them up and put it back in place, not even washed or replaced. The ambiance was dreadful, there was no background music or any form of atmospheric sound besides a bunch of people talking too loud and their screaming kids. The desert bar was just shameful, woo theres a chocolate fountain, with 2 things to dip in it, but the actual selection of desserts were crushed pies, crushed cakes, brown chocolate ice cream, yellow vanilla ice cream, and didnt even have sprinkles or normal toppings, just weird stuff like gummy bears and candy corn, the cones, I swear were not paper but had the texture and density of it. The fudge, at first, wasnt bad, it was kinda cheap. Then on the ride home I was attempting to keep from vomiting it up. Finally did when I got home and I have to say that was the most pleasant part of the entire meal. I used to love this place as a kid, back when it was on staples, and I have to say I was really happy I didnt try the salad bar and ruin that memory too. Customer service was less than friendly, but they did send our claim to the insurance to get it handled, we were called back about it a few days later. Do yourself a favor, applebees and longhorn steakhouse are down the road, If you want seafood, go to snoopies on the island, and if you want pizza or salad, go to cicis on ayers. If you want some combo of the above, just go to H-E-B. Save yourself. Any of those options would be cheaper, taste better, and healthier.

Where to start? Oh yeah. The line is incredibly long. TOO long. Nevertheless, why wait in line if its not even worth waiting for? The location is incredibly tiny! Not that tiny, but by tiny, you have to go through a crowd of people and if I remember Ive bumped into people countless amounts of times. A lot of vastly creepy people go to this location; I recall a guy going up to me and asking for my number. I was fifteen at the time, why would an adult simply go up to me without an issue and ask for my phone number? D: Additionally, the buffet area holds a much more uncomfortable vibe. I caught some guy staring at my friend in all the wrong ways -- what is with these odd people fantasizing? T.T Because the refill stations require a waiter to refill your drink, I requested a Dr Pepper, not a DIET Dr Pepper. (Clearly you could taste the difference in those two.) Not to mention that the waiters kept clearing my table each time I got up to serve myself more food, even after I kindly asked not to clear it up. New Braunfels location was far better and I dont think Ill be visiting here the next time we come in town. The only good thing about this location was the Cotton Candy and some of the desserts. (Plus, theres so much better things that Corpus Christi has to offer)! If you think Im ever going back to this location, I digress.

Good place, kind of strange in the way that they cater to the public. Came in at 11:50, had to convince a worker there to give us chips. As this person stated chips are for the lunch crowd. I respect that they serve breakfast as long as they do, but ten minutes before noon we were essentially turned down the cheapest of lunch items because it wasnt lunch yet? Just strange. The food was good, little better than what you would expect from a good buffet. Lots of cheap filler items, but enough of the better stuff (fresh ham, bourbon chicken and great salad options etc) to make it worthwhile. The desert options are cool... But riddled with the remnants of childrens paws. Obviously very crowded during the lunch rush. All in all I enjoy this place; if you are looking for a good buffet there is none better in Corpus.

Me and a friend walked in and I played for us both, as soon as we sat down the lights went off and stayed off for the whole duration of our 30-40 minute stay. We both took a plate of still warm food and enjoyed it in the dark. But by our second plate there was not much left. We got up to see if we could get any type of refund, but the person in charge insisted on being rude, arguing that we still ate; and that there was still food out to be had. Nothing was being made and all machines were down. He was not offering any compromise saying we still ate. We asked for any type of refund, he refused any type of compromise. We left upset after a few minutes trying to reason with him and him talking down to us like children that wanted a free meal. We went in for a buffet and got whatever was leftover.

WHY in the world did the Golden Corral Corp shutdown 2 locations to open 1 that is not much bigger then any of the 2 they shut down. In over a year, because it is CONSTANTLY so busy, have been able to get into the restaurent ONCE - not into standing in a line that almost goes out the door and then not being able to find a place to sit down. Should have left the location by Starplex and Super WalMart open because of all the other businesses in the area and just closed the one on Williams which was very old, dirty and disgusting to go to. REALLY BIG MISTAKE - could have had business coming from both ends of town, but now a LOT OF FOLKS just drive on by - no parking, long lines to get in, and no place to sit.

For I do must say with great most certainty that Golden Corral is a exquisite five star restaurant with the most delicious steaks known to man. The top chefs that work at this lovely establishment are masters of there craft and impress me without failure each time I visit. The master piece that is that CHOCOLATE FOUNTAIN puts a white man like my self giggling like my youth in Birmingham Alabama, oh my WHAT A SPECTACULAR FOUNTAIN IT IS! Now every time I go for seconds I have to congratulate the chefs and this is what I say "SIR THIS BE A MIGHTY FINE (INSERT FOOD HERE) AND IVE BEEN TO MANY RESTAURANTS AND THIS JOINT HERE COMPARES TO NONE!" I tip my hat at the chefs there and be on my way.

Mediocre food quality for the price you pay. I tried really hard to like the food, I went up and tried many different things, but the only dishes that I found appetizing were the Butterfly Shrimp and the Herb and Garlic Roasted fish. Friend of mine said the steak was pretty good though, but it was very fatty. I was very disappounted in the fudge because I love fudge and it was nowhere near what I expected. I would rather spend the amount I did here somewhere better. Partially my fault for having high expectations for this place, since it was my first time going tonight. I will never come again, my apologies.
