We used to go there all the time. NOT ANY MORE! On Sunday it is 19.99 per person, also for my 5year old who only ate 2 blintzes. For Gods sake to raise prices you need to make sure that the quality of food is better, more. Nothing changed for better, you still serve little cup of soup, no changing table for infants, we need to pay cash only. For 2 adults and one child (who like I mentioned eat barley anything) we paid $65...really? Improve something to raise prices so much. I DO NOT RECOMMEND !!!!!! PS the manager is there to do nothing! Really whatever she makes - she should make less. Whoever created the business plan for CZERWONE JABLUSZKO screwed them. IT was Sunday and almost empty. We are not going back.

I got to try the place this past weekend. The food was very tasty... about as close to homemade as you are going to get on much what is on the buffet! I think the best things I had were the butter-garlic shimp, corn salad, cucumber soup, pureed beets, and the beef tongue with horseradish sauce. Other items I tried were tasty but these I liked best. The drawback is that there is an extra charge for drinks (usually I get water anyway)...also its very pricey on the weekends. Maybe if I had a day during the week when I dont have to work and can take a trek there, it wouldnt be so bad, going during lunchtime.

I went for the Pulaski Day special. I even invited a bunch of friends. The interior was clean and aesthetically pleasing and the staff was friendly. The food, though.... the food was so good. And there was plenty of everything. I didnt see anything in that "bottom of the pan" stage that you see at a lot of buffets. The options were different enough that everyone could get something (or multiple somethings) that they wanted. I do have one complaint: They are cash only, though they have an atm inside. The sign on the door makes it seem like they take credit cards, but dont be fooled. Bring cash.

The waitress barely knows English. They tell you to reuse your forks knifes and straws. They dont even have spare napkins! Only half of the food is good. The dessert are the worst. The chocolate pudding is utterly disgusting. Has no hint of chocolate in it. I have tried every food in small amounts and a good portion of it is stale and undercooked. The only decent food is the polish food. Also, you have to order drinks, they dont even have have a soda fountain like many traditional buffets. Overall the experience is very unprofessional and I disliked it. I would never recommend this buffet.

This is one of Chicagos best values for the dollar. When a burger & fries and a drink at a name fast food joint will cost you $7-$8, why not enjoy Angus prime rib and dozens of other well-prepared and delicious dishes for $15.00 or so? The place is clean, well-appointed and the servers are friendly and attentive. The kitchen is immaculate (yes, I looked) as are the restrooms and the floor. Ive enjoyed The Red Apple so much Ive used them for catering with great success. This restaurant has an excellent & experienced chef, sound management and GREAT FOOD!

We stopped at the Red Apple Buffet as we were driving through the area. As a buffet specializing in Polish food, it was a nice change from Golden Corral and Chinese buffets. However, the night we were there the food was a mix of too dry (Chicken Kiev) and to oily (potato pancakes). The schnitzel was good and there was a good variety of desserts which is always appreciated in buffets. My biggest issue was the price. At $22 a person for the Saturday night buffet, it was way over priced. We feel gouged and will not be going back.

This place is AMAZING. A bit expensive on the buffet end as it is $15 for lunch and you should definitely tip. Also its cash only. BUT! The food is amazing. In my opinion, if you want to try great Polish cuisine, Red Apple is probably a better choice than Staropolska, though the vibe is very different. I can honestly say Red Apple is one of the best buffets Ive ever been to. Food is fresh and regularly replaced. They have a wide variety and the food is high quality. Service and staff are very friendly and imho pretty cute as well.

Really Great Food! CASH ONLY! They do have an ATM beside the register. The servers are really nice but, kinda seem new every time I have been. The bathrooms are extremely small and not handicap at all, meaning you leave your wheelchair or walker in the dining room and have to hold on to the walls. They have about 8 or 10 free parking spots behind the building. And they are beside a laundromat so you can do laundry while enjoying the buffet. The buffet is about $20 a person and I think you only get one free refill on your soda.

Having read previous reviews, I decided to check this place out during my family visit to Chicago. All of us were very impressed with the taste and quality of food and variety selection. Everything looked at tasted like a true homemade meal should! There were plenty of meat, chicken and vegeterian dishes to choose from, so if youre vegeterian, you will not be left hungry! The service was propmt and curteous! We will definitely go there again if we visit Chicago in the future.

Upon entering, I was immediately greeted with a warm and gracious invitation to sit. For the first course, I chose mushroom soup, which was delivered promptly, it was delicious! The remaining selection of food is steaming hot & fresh, which at the time of writing this review has yet to be sampled. The atmosphere is clean, warm and comfortable while the music is a varied assortment of 60s rock & r & b, old school :) Update: The food is amazing!!

Best Eastern European restaurants in Chicago! Here I always find my favorite Polish and Ukrainian dishes. Pierogi, stuffed cabbage, potato pancakes, pork chops, goulash, pancakes, beef, salads - like my grandmothers dishes: very tasty, delicious and always fresh! I love their dessert and freshly baked bread! I can not stop eat! 10 years, I have come here with friends and family. Every year, only better. Thank you Red Apple!!! You the best!

I love the atmosphere of this place. I have been to Poland many times and I always appreciated their hospitality and food. I come here because they hold up to that expectation I have. The people here are warm and friendly, the food is delicious, and the price is perfect. Every time I come here, I indulge in Polish beer. Great selection! Ignore the negative reviews. Many places are cash only. Get over it.

have a buffet tolerance. Its usually every 2-3 months. My body says it needs to binge, so I give in and travel to a buffet. My plate usually consists of Perogis, Potato Pancakes, Stuffed Cabbage, Sauerkraut, Kielbasa, and Ham. The food from the Heavens. And their pickle soup! Yum. The place may seem dated (as are the waitresses), but its the best place to get your Polish on.
