As someone who has worked in the restaurant industry for a long time now and has held nearly every position known to man in a restaurant, I must say this place was about as disappointing as they come. After being sat promptly and greeted by the server assistant with water and chips and salsa, he took our drink order for the server (2 house margaritas on the rocks, not a difficult order for a mexican restaurant). After 10 minutes had passed, and no more contact from the server assistant or the SERVER HIMSELF, another table was sat and promptly brought their margaritas in less than 2 minutes. It was at this point that we gave up. I had been told that this Los Cucos was better than other ones in terms of the quality of food, well I will never know, and frankly dont care to know. A simple acknowledgement from the server that our drinks were on the way would have been better than nothing at all. The place was not busy on a weeknight so there was no excuse for the lack of service we received. I will never recommend this establishment because service is key when you go to a sit down restaurant. Take the time, and drive out to Fajita Jacks near Lake Conroe, we had our margaritas and our appetizer in less time than it took for us to realize we were not important to the employees of Los Cucos.

I wouldnt even give this place one star!! Awful service. Soft drinks taste watered down, my daughter got the kids chicken quesadilla it also had frys she took one bite of each and didnt want it said it was bad , I tried it. It was awful and cold on top of that. My husband and son got mixed fajitas for 2 it was cold and there was so much grease/oil all over it I could have filled up a 2coffee cups. My other daughter got fajitas and they said they dont come with bell peppers after they brought them out, they brought us some that they just cut up and put on a plate.. Not only were they cold but it had a ton of grease/oil on them. I got Tortilla soup it was cold and there was veggies in it that wasnt cooked. When we complained they acted like we were the ones in the wrong, wouldnt take the kids meal off the ticket. The whole time they were talking among each other in Spanish while looking at us. From the little of food that we had had my husband and oldest daughter throwing up. WORST MEXICAN RESTAURANT EVER!!!

Recently moved to the Conroe area and decided I didnt want to drive to P-Sitos for the half priced Fajitas so just went here to try it out. BIG mistake! Should have made the journey. I walked in and noticed the sign that said "Happy Hour All Day" so walked in, checked out the menu and ordered a regular rita. Food was good came out quick but there wasnt many people dining out on a Wednesday night. When my bill came I was charged $5.99 for a regular rita, which I thought would be $1.99 as the menu stated that price for happy hour. I asked my waitress if the $1.99 was the correct price. I told her the sign in the entry way said "Happy Hour all Day". She came and told me that the Happy Hour was ONLY for beer. No where on the sign did it say (Beer Only). I just paid and left. Probably wont be going back. Sorry not sorry.

Probably the worst service Ive ever had at a restaurant. Waited to be sat for 5 minutes, the place wasnt busy, the host was just busy talking to the bartender in the back. Waited another 5-10 minutes to be acknowledged by the server and place a drink and queso order. The drinks came another 5-10 min later. We had to practically yell at the server to keep him from walking off so we could place our food order. I finished my beer and tried to get our server to come by for a refill and to ask about our queso, it had already been 20 min since we ordered. No success. Food arrived another 15 min later, no queso, asked about it and another beer. The beer never came, neither did the queso. Not a single server or host there checks up on the tables to see if they need anything, and the servers hide in the bar and kitchen.

My wife and I love to eat at Los cocos any chance we get no matter where we are. I am from Katy last week my wife and I were in Conroe so we decided to stop at this one on 2050 I-45 north Conroe. The food was excellent and the service wasnt too bad either. However the checkout experience was very surprising. The waiter added an additional $6 to what we had originally tipped. I called it in and the manager was apologetic and all but I have a feeling it was intentionally done. Hence why I did not give her my card number again to refund the money when she ssked. My trust level at this point was too low to re-engaged in any other transactions with the crew. I hate it that I have to do this review but someone needsto know and help beef up quality assurance. In all my years eating out this is a first ever.

Worst experience and service - we went to Conroe to spend our daughters birthday weekend! She wanted Mexican Food so our first thought was Los Cucos. I shouldve read the reviews first. It was a Sat night and the place empty.....First Red Flag! There is not a single Los Cucos in Houston that is empty any time or any day. The lady who greeted us was rude - we were a party of 9. Next Red Flag! The staff was allllllll rude! My daughter was turning 15 but doesnt eat much so she asked to order from the kids menu. He asked her if she was ok with paying a dollar more for her meal. He def added his $15 tip to the bill that I hated paying for. Agh! The whole vibe in that place was off - singing her Happy Birthday was awkward. Worst experience!

Read the reviews people! The recent reviews are terrible and you should listen. The entire time we were being waited on we felt like we were ruining their day. We said thank you every time for them to just stare and not say anything. The salsa is absolutely disgusting. I asked 4 different people for a side of hot sauce, 2 of which completely ignored our request. We went in with a party of 18. Spent well over $400. Tipped very well. I left my to go box for maybe 10 mins. I called back in and they had already threw it away. I tried to have them replace it because it was almost a full meal and they refused. I asked to speak to the manager and it turns out the lady I spoke with was the manager. DONT GO HERE!!!!

Waiter couldnt understand what we were ordering and then when he was tired of listening he said OK OK. And ofcourse my food was all screwed up. When I mine back to be fixed they used the same plate and just scraped the mistake off and added to it. Gave us no silverware, no refills. Paid with our card and he came back saying their machine wasnt working right and we still owed 8 bucks on our ticket, saying we needed to pay with cash. We normally dont even carry cash and I personally wouldnt have paid it with my cash but my husband did. I think he made the mistake when he enter our amount due and thats why it wasnt right. If he would have just been honest.
