I ordered a glass of wine and the server in a very accusatory tone asked to see my ID. Im 25 and look very young; people ask to see my ID usually, but you dont have to be rude. She then looked at my ID for well over a minute, handed it back, and walked away without saying a word. We ordered the crab nachos and they were just bad. Six chips with a little chunk of crab meat under a pile of iceberg lettuce. They were so plain and didnt belong on the menu of any restaurant ever. The sandwiches were good. We had a French dip and muffuletta. The service was very uncomfortable. With the ID thing and our other interactions, I just felt like we werent welcome there.

I ducked into this Restaraunt because it said "cafe" and all I wanted was a fish burger. So I ordered the grouper sandwich with homemade chips. It was a hoagie bun, two slices of melted American cheese, shredded lettuce, tomato and pickles. It had a hearty homemade crust on a 1/4 inch, sliver of fish. Seriously, a sliver of fish. I think there was more crust than fish. The chips were ok but could have been great had they been hot. Id skip this place and go across the street to Moondogs where I know the food is awesome.

I would stick to the fried menu. The oysters were not fresh and the ceviche tasted like they had it in fridge for two days. They did allow us a refund for both dishes as my wife only took one bite of both. I had the ruben which was edible but uninspired as the cornbeef was a bit old, the bread was not toasted, and they did not bother to strain the sauerkraut. The slaw was probably the best part of the meal but nothing special. stay away!

We had a great lunch! The calamari was great, mildly seasoned and came out hot from the fryer. I got the ceviche, which was delicious. The coleslaw was slightly sweet and NOT mayonnaise-y (delicious and cold), and my husbands po-boy, he said, was good. The sweet tea was not overly sweet. Our server was quiet, sweet, and polite. Overall, it was a great lunch and well make it one of our regular restaurants whenever were in Rockport!

The ambiance was friendly without being noisy. The service was good. The food lacked memorable character. The fly doing a back stroke in my husbands beer detracted from our enjoyment of the evening. Our overall impression was that Old Fulton Seafood Cafe is okay, but we are no in a hurry to return.

Food is great, unfortunately we will NEVER eat here again, as the lighter haired hostess was very rude, not just to us but another patron as well. We sent the tourist to Captain Bennies and we settled on Charlotte Plumbers. What a shame.

We enjoyed the fresh seafood and good flavors. The coconut shrimp are very large, and the fish Veracruz had great flavor with its mix of olives, onions and tomatoes. Fish was fresh.
