Every time I went to this place it was in the afternoon and all I ordered were their drinks. A nice girl always got my drinks out quick. It wasnt until I went in the day time that I had a bad experience. I ordered 3 drinks. A lot of people came in and ordered food/drinks after my sister and I and were getting their drinks before us. It wasnt until 35 minutes after when my sister and I got really angry and went up to the cashier to know what happened to our order. She asked for the receipt and went behind the cashier and took 15 more minutes to make the drinks.... When she came back one of them was wrong and the other was a Taro flavored and tasted disgusting (not how it usually taste).I asked for remakes and the cashier didnt even care about what they had done and didnt even bother to apologize for what had happened. The girl was also wearing black shorts that were way too short that I could literally see the crease of her butt. Very inappropriate to wear to work. Lastly, some of the day employees arent friendly and are bad at greeting and helping out customers.

I ordered the blackened catfish with basil rice(yummy) and fries(crazy good and fresh). But, the gumbo was gross. Im use to authentic gumbo but open to trying other styles of cooking it. It had enough seafood but the roux was not good, nor was the flavor of the dish. It was as if I were eating gravy. They should take off the menu or reduce the cost of the bowl(6.95) for someone to take a risk of trying. My friend and I shared the meal and I was taught to never leave food on the plate or take leftovers home. I left the gumbo, wasted 6.95 and only took two spoonfuls from it. Overall, everything else was good but do not get the gumbo if you are expecting something that resembles the taste of gumbo. I hope they take the time to google a recipe for it,otherwise remove it from the menu.

Worth the trek. I dont live in Arlington and dont always visit, but when I do, I go to Orchid. Its food is super high quality with great service to top it off. The restaurants eponymous cafe setting with a coffee/tea lounge makes for an interesting dining experience. They do have more traditional tables to compliment the cafe-style seating though if thats a turn off. They specialize in coffee, tea, and the like. So, no sugary sodas here. Though some other reviewers did mention a byob option. As far as food goes, their wings and burgers are where its at in my opinion. The onion rings are also pretty good and worth a try.

Orchid City Cafe does not ever disappoint when we are here. The service is great, food is great and atmosphere is great. They have a great variety of options from rice, burgers, fish etc even crawfish so you will always find something. They also have a variety of coffee, teas and bubble teas. Overall great place to have casual lunch or snack and the service is always great. A great place to try when you are in the Mansfield area. They are right across from the Southeast campus community college.

Loved getting drinks during happy hour 2-4 pm, but be warned that even if you only missed it by a few minutes then you will pay full price. I thought they would allow a little leeway but the drinks were not discounted and I was unable to tip because I had calculated extra $6 for the two drinks was going to be my tip for my food and drinks. Unfortunately I never saw that waiter again but I tip every time I come here, even if I only bought drinks at the register.

I was going to try the rolled ice cream first but I spotted Philly Cheesesteak. Everyone whos eaten with me knows Im on the hunt for the best one North Texas has to offer, and after my 1st try. I can honestly say Orchid Citys is my current 2nd Fave. It was tasty, onions caramelized to perfection. Oh boy & lemme tell you bout the onion rings: that special batter is WINNER!

Amazingly healthy and savory. Their smoothies and teas are great. One of their specialties is their icecream. Its rolled up and simply delicious. On top of the great food, they have friendly service. The only thing I didnt enjoy was the music since it made it more difficult to talk. The local is very modern and kinda hipster. Overall, great place, service, and food!

Love the crawfish hate the fact that they purposely leave the phone off the hook on certain weekends. Terrible!!!! Ive spent so much at this place since I found out about it. I got the fried chicken entree with the spicy rice. I recognize that I might have a high tolerance for spicy things,but this wasnt even mild...their food portions are worth the price, but the food itself isnt that special. Customer service wasnt that bad either. This place is good if you need to fill your stomach after class.

I am actually back at this place as I write this review. My friends and I enjoyed the food. I had a grilled salmon with spicy basil rice. The wait was too bad last, but it is today as I right the review. Just removed a star because they set an equal number of people that came in after us first

Delicious Cajun and Korean food. Eclectic flavor combos are well executed and sure to please. Some of the drinks taste a little too processed, but the milk teas are delicious. Usually busy, might be a wait for seats, service and food, but everything is well worth the wait!

Crawfish here is amazing! Service is great. Its self seating because its a Cafe NOT a restaurant so dont expect the same kind of service you get from a restaurant. Regardless, my experiences here have always been great! The cafe is also BYOB.

The food here is delicious! Weve ordered crawfish here before, as well as several dishes. Flavorful, friendly and fast. If I had one complaint, its that they are typically out of ingredients to make some drinks.

Tried this for the first time and I loved it. I had the blackened salmon and it was so flavorful. Customer service is outstanding. Nice lunch or dinner spot. I wont mind eating here every week. Fresh and good.
