I only gave a 1 star, because I had to in order to leave this review. Unable to review the food unfortunately we didnt get a chance to try due to walking out for rude service! Probably not missing much, high price menu. So there is 2 people serving, seating and Im guessing bussing tables too. We came in right after a family of 4, there is 3 of us, no one else was in there the first time he saw us. He came back after 5 minutes to seat the family of 4 and by this time there was 2 other couples there, he was rude and loud barking at us asking whos next? How many? I raised my hand and said us 3 pointing at my husband and just 3 year old. He leaves again then comes back after leaving this other families food on the serving tray for the 2nd time without serving it to them. He then hollered at us you 3 come here, takes us to the back area but walks behind counter without showing us which table to sit at. He just barked again at us there that one in the corner! Any other time I would of just sat at any seat open but there was only two bar tables that were pretty high and I didnt feel comfortable eating with my 3 year old on a seat that high. At this point were just done with the extremely rude treatment and decided to leave. The girl then says she could clean the table in the front off for us but its been dirty ever since we arrived and didnt feel like waiting any longer. Sad, we were looking forward to trying it but honestly dont plan to go back.

We are from San Diego California and are a bit on the snooty side when it comes to Mexican Food. Im sure for most Daddy O would earn 5 stars. For me, what made the trip to this restaurant a hit was the nice owner - he is an incredible guy that takes his time to say thank you and shakes your hand. His staff are friendly and do not miss a beat in getting your order right and on time. As for the food - it is okay. But again my standards are really high. I like tacos, they use a pre-made shell that falls apart in your hand. For a Mexican restaurant I thought only Taco Bell did that. The margaritas are awful. They need some serious going back to the drawing board to get their house-margaritas right. The rest of the food was okay - and if you are missing your Mexican food fix - Daddy Os will not disappoint you.

OK.... After reading some of the reviews posted I felt the need to revise mine. First let me say that I come here regularly and never once have I experienced poor service. That being said, if you are one of those people who dine out with a false sense of entitlement, this is not the place for you. Here they treat you like a friend, a neighbor, even family. So stop by and take the time to talk to the staff... Youll find they are warm, attentive, funny a and, most of all, they provide excellent service... Service good enough that I often feel compelled to tip 100% of my bill. Here you can relax and enjoy good food, because you are amongst friends!

I only went here once so take that for what its worth. It took our server waaay too long to bring us drinks and to take our order. I didnt even finish my plate and neither did the wife. The kid ate his food without complaint but he eats everything. His food looked mediocre to me, and like ours it had way too much cheese . The server was nice though, and the place was nice and clean. Just poor service and food. Again Ive only been once so maybe it was just a bad day for them.

I ordered their 11 dollars burrito and it comes with nothing inside. Like i feel like thats common sense stuff. Have you ever ordered a burger and the lettuce and tomatoes and cheese and onions and sauce come on the side? Then why would you make your burrito like that. And they wrap the burrito so tight you cant unwrap it and put everything inside without ruining the burrito. Terrible experience

Food is a little hit or miss. Apparently they just had quite a price increase as well. Very stingy with chips and salsa, RIDICULOUSLY small chip bowl, (cup). If you REALLY want Mexican food and live close then give it a try. Also want to mention Maggues in Spring Branch and El Guapo. Both are better in my opinion and MUCH better value.

Great food at a reasonable price. Service was also very good. My friends and I enjoyed our visit to Daddy O. Again the food was great and the portions were very generous. The noise levels were low so talking with my friends was enjoyable. I will definitely visit Daddy O again and will recommend this restaurant to my friends.

Whoever has given this place good reviews is a disgrace to the state of Texas and good Mexican food. Ive eaten better Mexican food in North Carolina and thats embarrassing . Service was fine, but I shouldve known when the salsa tasted like Pace and they had no queso or tamales to leave. Worst Mexican food ever.

Excellent food with very friendly customer service. Very neat setup and design. I love the layout of this restaurant. If you want to take the family out for a nice meal in a laid back atmosphere, or watch the game with your buddies, this is the place to go.

The staff is overly friendly and inviting and have a great knowledge on the food they prepare. Also a beer and wine bar, the wine margaritas are on point. It is worth a stop of you are in the area. Not the biggest fan of Tex Mex but overall great value
