I love this place. They have a barbacoa combo with 1lb meat, a pack of flour tortillas, a pack of corn tortillas, salsa, and a 2 liter big red for $15! great deal! Great tasting food. The tamales are delicious too! Aside from the food, what I really love about Martinezs is the friendly staff. They make you feel welcome and even the people that shop there are friendly. Every time I go there, even though I dont intend on making small talk, I meet great people who are excited about the food or chat with the staff if theyre not too busy. I recommend Martinezs to all my friends.

Wow - Reminds me of my departed fathers recipe delicious, and the menudo is just tasty had to fight with my wife for the last spoonfuls of the soup.The lengua is only sliced upon ordering, the tamales havent tried them yet but i will. P.S. - I really dont like writing reviews especially for places I really love because of the fear of losing its secretive in-town places to eat. But i feel selfish in not sharing its wonderfulness. Be patience though the line get long but the staff is very organized in serving their customers.

This is the best barbacoa I have ever had. My wife and I go as often as possible. We have tried many places and this is what we love. Mr. Martinez is very kind and always remembers us. Tamales are very good and in all actuality there is nothing that I can say negative about this place. Dont miss out. Stop in for a great meal and family atmosphere.

Dont blink driving down Fredricksburg or you might miss it and you would be mad you did. barbacoa is delicious as is the hot sauce. The menudo is some of the best I have had and theres an assortment of pan de dulce as well.
