The Silver Sage Senior Center is a wonderful community center. It is also the home for the Bandera County Meals on Wheels program and they serve over 150 meals to seniors daily. The center offers on-site meals at 11:30 a.m. Monday through Friday as well. There is a workout room with treadmills and stationary bicycles available for public use. Several different types of crafting groups meet here weekly and there are field trips to sign up for often. Once a month they host the Cowboy Capital Opry, where they invite professional musicians to come and perform for the local community. The cost is $5 per person and the proceeds benefits Meals on Wheels of Bandera County.

This place is unbelievable! It is well operated, clean, efficient, organized, and offers excellent programs for seniors. My 96 year old Mother and myself love "Opry Night" and always anxiously waiting till the next one. The Meals on Wheels program runs smoothly and she is dependent on it. THANK YOU to the entire staff...you are heaven sent!
