As a student and a research assistant, having a location close to campus is Excellent. The costs are very pleasing and worth every penny. I can find something satisfying on the menu every visit. The crowd and company makes the experience, especially on a game day or a hang out after a late class or test. When Im stopping by for a quick bite & beer, the staff or manager or owner always find a way to start a conversation and keep me company. Thats not necessarily typical of similar style locations. So my compliments go out to the staff especially. My favorite day to visit is Thursday. Could not be any more affordable - keeps my budget in check and my wallet smiling hahaha. As for smoking, which I occasionally do - the smoking crowd tends to accumulate in one area leaving plenty of room in adjacent areas for the non-smokers. A good balance in my opinion.

We had a wonderful experience. My husband has Celiac Disease and it is very, very difficult for us to go out to eat. We have not been able to eat burgers out in years. We were pretty nervous when we went because not all GF restaurants are all they claim to be. He was so happy when the waitress said they have an entire GF work area. For the first time in a long time we were able to enjoy burgers and fries without fear! And they were really great burgers, too. Thank you to the staff and the management for creating a safe place for my family to enjoy a delicious meal out. We really appreciate their commitment to GF food preparation.

I tried the Bentleys London Burger, which had grilled pineapple, an apricot sauce, pepper jack cheese, bacon, and all those other necessities. The waitress had me at grilled pineapple. It was very good, though the sauce was somewhat overpowering with a barbeque sauce component. But still very good. I also ordered an Old Fashioned which I believe was made with Crown Royale which, your mileage may vary, isnt my favorite for a cocktail. Overall a nice, smaller bar with typical bar atmosphere and well above decent pub food.

all of my memories from UTA involved bentleys. i studied for my exams there, smoked my cigars there, met my friends there, and just had a good time. i dont recomend the margaritas, but i do suggest tipping your servers heavily...they will take care of you in return. get some chucky cheese fries and a hickory burger with a duvel beer to start and decrease the quailty as the night goes on...when you finish your pbr just take a short ride to the pit grill and finish your night...

"Lets go down the Winchester!" JR Bentleys is a great place to eat and drink for UTA students and local residents alike! Ive been there a few times, and the atmosphere is lovely. It looks and feels just like an English pub! Me and my mates call it the Winchester because of that movie Shaun Of The Dead! Bottom line: If theres a zombie apocalypse, Im headed down to JR Bentleys for a pint!! Hows that for a slice of fried gold? Cheers!

I worked at Bentleys while going to school at UTA. Lots of good memories and great people working and drinking at the bar. The food was always good with great big burgers. Looks like theyve dressed up the outside a bit, which is good, it needed it. Bentleys always drew an eclectic group of people. Oddballs and misfits, college kids and professionals. A great place tucked into the fold in Arlington, Texas.

My favorite hangout on school days. The waitresses are very nice and the burgers are the best Ive had in Arlington, and trust me; I had to shop around for burgers after they closed for a while a couple years ago. None could compare. The only rare bad thing that can happen is if screaming obnoxious soccer fans crowd the bar. In that case, its best to eat on the patio (this has only happened once to me so far).

Bentleys is an awesome place to go grab a couple of beers. The atmosphere is nice and the drinks are pretty cheap if you go with the specials. They also have really good burgers. The one thing I REALLY dislike about bentleys is the amount of smoking that goes on in there. Everytime I leave bentleys all my clothes smell like cigarettes and my eyes burn. But its only this bad after 11pm or so.

This place could have a lot of potential if they could control the cigarette smoke inside to at least 5 alarm on the smokey scale and make the unhappy, unfriendly staff and management at least put on a mona lisa smile for the customers. Its really a depressing place. Coming here is like going to smokey dungeon. Downtown Arlington is cool, but choose another place other than Bentleys.

I kept seeing that this place had great burgers.......dragged the hubby and a friend there one night and ordered some drinks and burgers. The drinks were good but the burgers were your average burgers. Nothing great or memorable about them. The atmosphere was ok. Probably wouldnt go back since nothing was over the top.

What can I say about Bentleys most people should already know. It is just a regular awesome institution of Arlington UTA college life you cant do anything better than Chuckie cheese fries, fried zucchini and you know the Good Ol Bentley burger plus you know they got good drink specials as well

They reopened after the fire and completely changed. The establishment didnt care about old customers or waitstaff. She just brushed us all to the waste side so she could be a new yuppie bar and grill. Our college bar is dead. It burned in the fire.

Love this place. Cheaper pitcher of beer and Safe place to hang out at. Food to me is a little expensive. You can take your food if you wana have something with beer or alcohol.closing Time around 2am. They have country music sometimes.

Out of all of the bars in DFW I choose this one 90% of the time. Its home-bar. If you like to be able to hear yourself talk while enjoying a decent assortment of beers with exceptional comfort food, this be your place.

The food was phenomenal. This is my 2nd time here and so i brought my cousin with me this time... Two burgers, two happy customers. Bartender is on top of his game as well. Prompt service and perfectly mixed drinks.

The very best of the UTA off-campus bars. Im 46 now but have been going there since I was a freshman from back in 1988, and have never had a bad meal or a watered-down cocktail.
