Last night we took my son to this location for his B-day dinner. We arrived early, at 5:30, and there were only a few tables occupied. The food was GREAT! We had a few combo rolls and a Salmon tower, all were terrific. Our server was obviously not too busy, since there were only 10 people in the place, he was just not attentive since we didnt get Wasabi or Gari and had to ask twice for these basic staples of Sushi dining. Our drink glasses were empty most of the time until he figured out that Soy Sauce makes you thirsty... The reason Im dumping on this restaurant is what happened at 6:10 when I asked to pay our bill. There were a group of people waiting at home to surprise my son and we were on a tight schedule. I was told their computer was down and it would be a few minutes. This back and forth went on for 25 minutes with the waiter apologizing 5 separate times. I finally took cash from my 16 year old son and paid what the waiter thought the bill should be. People were getting angry at the cash register and the manager was way too busy apologizing to realize she could have saved the situation in a number of ways. Too bad a fun night and good meal had to be tainted by a failure in technology and lack of customer service. As an update, called and left a message with an assistant manager for the owner, Gina, to call me. No call yet. 5/15 Spoke to Gina, was offered a nice surprise when we ate here last night. Great food, nice people and good C/S...

We werent particularly impressed with this place the first time we tried it, but decided to go back after several months to give it a second chance. You know what they say about first impressions......well, we had a HORRIBLE experience this time. My entree came out and I waited for a few minutes before I began to eat, hoping that my husbands entree would come shortly after. After about 5 min, he insisted that I go ahead and eat. After finishing my entree, the manager came over to ask how things were......after we had not even seen our waitress for some time. When we told her about the situation, she went to the front host stand to "check" how long we had been there and argued that we had only been there for 30 minutes. She obviously did not see the issue at hand. That only one entree came out while the other never did. She was rude and said she can take it off our ticket if wed like and only halfway apologized. Huge disappointment to leave a sushi restaurant after not having any sushi. We will not be going back.

So... this place is interesting to say the least. Idk how people are reviewing it with 5 stars. It looks like Christmas met a weird asian shopping mall inside. Its extremely hot... like the A/C is broken. The only saving grace is that the service is good. Everyone seems really nice. The food is terrible though. I feel like I have food poisoning just sitting here waiting for our check. The rolls were hot and tasted like they all had miracle whip in them. They also fell apart when we tried eating them. We came for dinner on a Friday night and there are like 15 people in the whole restaurantThere is no excuse for the food tasting this way. Ive worked in a Japans restaurant and Im not really sure what this food is to be honest with you.

This place is awesome given one condition: ONLY go when Gina (the owner) is there. I call ahead to verify. The staff slacks off hardcore when shes gone, but if shes there its like the fear of seppuku is fueling the atmosphere to create absolutely AMAZING sushi rolls. UPDATE: The service is so terrible when Gina isnt there Im removing my 5-star rating until some kind of consistent quality is instated. UPDATE2: Adding a star for every visit that goes well, and subtracting one every time it goes bad. Went again 12/21/16 and service/food was decent, so adding a star. UPDATE3: Forgot to rate last time due to the complexity of the visit, but went again 01/08/17 and it was decent, so adding a star.

Traveling solo a lot for my job, I always love when I find a great place to eat- especially enough to write a review. The sushi is extremely fresh and YUUUGE. Both of the rolls I ordered had salmon on top and the salmon actually wrapped around the entire roll. I can typically eat 1.5 rolls to myself. Shiawases rolls only allowed me 6 (super delicious) pieces. The sushi was so good- I contemplated ways to take my left overs home 6 hours away to Missouri. When I mentioned this to my server, she suggested and got me a to go box with a little bag of ice. In conclusion- give this place a try if you love huge, fresh sushi and great service.

I had dinner here about a month prior to writing this review. The food was just "ok". In fact nothing spectacular. I say this because after many years in New York City, I didnt think the food was up to par to the ones I have had in New York City. I decided to give it another try and this time I had a friend visiting from New York City. We got there and waited about a minute to get sited...not bad. After we were sited, we waited for another 10minutes and no one came to us for water, drinks or to take our order. This place is HORRIBLE AND I WOULDNT RECOMMEND IT. Stay away.

I have come here several times, I finally decided to write a review on this location. Id like to start by saying the sushi is fantastic. I would say if you dont know what to order, try any of the dragon rolls. The only item I havent liked so far is the Dynamite. However, the factor that prevents me from giving this place a 5 star is the staff. Some nights the staff is pretty great, but on more than one occasion Ive had mediocre service. This is still without a doubt one of my favorite restaurants.

Terrible service. The sushi was ok. Pricey menu. Now to a more detail review. The restaurant look nice with classy decor. Sushi had good presentation. Then it went down hill from there. Service was extremely inattentive throughout. The night we were there, the restaurant wasnt even busy. Every sushi dish taste similar, nothing unique about them. The sushi itself is not horrible by any mean but only average. So if you factor in the high price with crappy service. This restaurant deserve a 2 star.

Great place, however I am concerned with the other reviews. The food was terrific but not the best. The service was ok but not the best. They gave us a orange at the end of the meal but it had been in a fridge so long it had no taste left. The "special rolls" are so big that you cant really enjoy them. Even the small house rolls fall apart. The staff was very nice but very unorganized. The restaurant was very clean and comfortable. Worth a try but choose wisely the menu is huge!

The big portions and size of the rolls are overwhelming but thats about it. The rolls were mostly made of rice including the Tuna Tower. The Ahi Tina wasnt chopped, but more of a mash. The fish didnt taste fresh to me, the consistency was questionable, and we didnt eat most of our meal: Tuna Tower, Ramen, and three rolls. The ramen was okay, kid approved, and that was the only thing that was mostly eaten, but not finished. We tried it but most likely will not return.
