New World Disorder
I ordered three beef enchiladas, one cheese taco, some refried beans and some cheese dipping sauce ($3.50 for the dipping sauce alone!) and my total was $24! Of course they hand you a tiny amount of cheese dip so I asked for me and my son a refill. You know the lady that owned it was waiting on us and charged us $7 for cheese dip!!! I only had a $20 on me because I had added everything up and it came to $19 and some change. So, when I go to pay and see the $24 I am stunned. So I ask politely had a word with the woman, who never informed me when I asked for a refill it would be an extra $3.50, explaining to her I would have Never ordered a refill if she intended to charge me $7 for 2 tiny bowels of cheese and the woman (obviously filled with greed) wouldnt let up. No Way to treat your customers!! Will stick to El Mexico like everyone else.

I have NO IDEA what the other people commenting here are talking about! I am a regular at CASA MEXICANA, and being of Hispanic descent myself, I can tell you, with certainty, that this is the BEST, most authentic Mexican in all of Shelbyville. The food is MAGNIFICENT, especially if you are a MEAT-LOVER as is my family. We ALWAYS order the same thing, PARRILLA MEXICANA, which is only $20 and serves me, my husband & 2 children!!! An absolute STEAL in today’s economy. Not only that, but I am ALWAYS attended by the owners themselves!!! IMPECCABLE SERVICE… I’m a big-city girl, and I guarantee, this is a restaurant that will only continue to grow. Besides, how many restaurants do you know that have a separate bar/karaoke area for kicking back with the hubby?? EXACTLY.

Hello! Im the new owner of Casa Mexicana. Im sorry to here that you guys werent treated right with the old owner. Im here to clarify that Casa Mexicana has a new owner now since the start of November 2014. We hope that the people who werent pleased before will come back and give us a chance and see how the restaurant has dramatically changed from before. Just left here and went down the street. Sat at the bar. The bartender never acknowledged, waited on 2 other people with refills, looked right at me and took dirty glasses to the back. Never took a drink or food order. Horrible service. Sitting here at the one down the road, much busier then here and already have my food and drink in the same amount of time it took me to walk out of this place. I wont be back.

Horrible how this place went down hill.I love chips and queso and I use to get chips with my queso here. I ordered the large queso and today they charged 11.50 for queso but tried to charge me an extra 6 dollars if I wanted chips with it.I am going down the street from now on. They serve better food down there anyways.

This place doesnt really deserve One Star. Bad place to go. Food there is really nasty. Waitress arent all that friendly. I really dont recommend this place. You should Check out Alfonsos Mexican Restaurant!! Casa Mexicana doesnt feel you welcomed. Just a terrible place to go eat. Isnt all that clean either.

Dont go there. I bought some chips and cheese dip and it was rotten. You could taste it was off and when i smell it....wow. It was obviously curdled milk...Nasty. Called them and seemed very disinterested. They didnt seem to care about the fact they sold me rotten food.

Best Mexican food in the town We where stuck in the place due to car trouble we looked for a Mexican restaurant since we hadnt ate all morning from our trip from Texas and these people are very nice!! Food was great took our worries away for a bit!!

Food is standard Mexican food, but it typically cooked fresh. Menu is also very similar to other restaurants of its kind. Interior design and coziness are excellent. Wait is often short.
