It is important to review Tequila Johns for what it is. This is a modern style Mexican restaurant with a lounge-like bar environment. Do not go here for a quick meal. This place is meant for a chill outing with friends who are in no hurry, and just want to enjoy each others company in an ambiance not easily found in rural west Tennessee. The food is gourmet, and from the inside at least, the places design is fantastic! This is a great change of pace for the area, and I try to go here every time I visit.

We (party of 6) walked in and there was no one in the restauarant (busy lunch time/weekend). The waiter had no idea about the items on the menu and acted like we were bothering him. He got our drink orders wrong, didnt bring the chips/dip like we asked and after watching him play on his cell phone in the parking lot for quite some time, we realized that the service was not going to get any better, we asked to get our order to go. We will never waste money there again.

Tequila Johns is actually an outstanding Mexican eatery. It does take a little while for your food to come up due to the quality of food that it is, but it has a comfortable atmosphere and a friendly staff. Owner John Reveles and his son Juan put a lot of hard work into the restaurant and it really shows in the quality and taste of the food. I would recommend Tequila Johns for sure. Its just an all around great place to eat.

I live 2 hrs away & was on a fishing trip afterwards we ate at Tequila Johns. Absolutely the "best" Mexican food Ive ever had! This place was very clean very & we had a wonderful waitress! This is really weird to say but I loved the restroom decor! ha Seriously, they should put a Tequila Johns in Paducah, Ky because the Mexican food/restaurants are awful up here!! I cant wait to go again!! 2 thumbs up! Thank u.. :)

I have been here a few time and the food always takes forever. It takes at least 10-15 minutes to get someone to take a drink order and an hour to get the food to the table. Good luck getting refills or anything else you ask for.Out of the four times I have visited this place my experience is always the same. Dont go here unless you have at least an hour and a half to spend.

The food is a rare item in this land of "meat & 3" that is the staple of most places. Quality is great and variety available. This is not the quickest place around but their lunch tacos helped that. For a family run restaurant, it is great.

It was clean, the food wasnt bad, but the service really stunk. I was the only one in that place, and they barely checked on me, they forgot to give me refills, and getting the check took forever. But otherwise it was ok

Was terrible the salsa was aweful half the drinks could not be made because the bartender did not have the recipes to make the tdrinks due to owners having them so you where limited at what you could drink. Unacceptable

The food is good, but too expensive for lunch, as there is no lunch menu with smaller portions. Service was mediocre from lack of visits and speed. The parking lot entrance needs serious attention.
