In short, the service was awful and the food was unappealing. The service was so bad that we got up and left the restaurant without eating. Our server was cold, angry, and absent. She visited our table once to take our initial drink order and then again 15 minutes later to take our entree order. She did not ask us if we wanted any appetizers, she did not ask us if we wanted any other beverages than the initial water. We were not given a drinks menu. When one of our children dropped their utensils, we had to find her (she was rolling utensils instead of tending to her tables,) and then she was visibly upset that she was inconvenienced to have to bring another set of utensils. I asked to speak to a manger due to our server and was told that a manager had stepped outside. This was on a Saturday at 5:30pm. When I arrived at the table the food had arrived. My wife and I ordered a pizza quesadilla that was swimming in a pool of grease. So much so that the tortilla had become mushy. It was at that point that we told the staff that we would be leaving due to the poor service and equally poor food quality. I would recommend going elsewhere.

The worst ever As a mexican i know that reproduce mexican flavor and taste in a state so far from mx frontier is complicate. La hacienda and others chain mx restaurants in the city make a menu for everybody([americans]mild hot sauces, mozzarela chees intead of fresh, chihuahua or oaxaca chees, ass sour cream and beans as sides and bad service) I ate twice here my 13 years ago with my brother and 2 years ago in a date, the worst experience ever; chiles rellenos for her she hate to eat a chile filled with mozarella i tead of fresh chees she hete it; i ate salty stake in hot green sauce, i knew that my dinner was days ago seasoned carne asada that they never could sold, they just add seasoned hot green sauce to carne ssada and the result was a bomb of saltiness. Bad food+nad service+crowd place+bad terrible view=the worst experience ever But there is hope in nashville •el cubilete madison

This tells the story in summary. Arrived at 7:15 pm on Saturday. The place was 60% empty. By 8:00 pm 85% empty. Good Mexican restaurants have a list all night long after 5:00 pm. Facility and furniture was dated and badly worn. Chips are cold commercial grade out of a bag, not home made. Had their special fajitas with shrimp, chicken, beef, and chorizo. No chorizo on the plate. The dish arrived and barely managed one bubble, rather than a steaming sizzling plate as it should be. Rice and beans were room temperature, and so was the allegedly "be careful the plate is hot" plate. Frozen margarita was almost frozen solid which clearly means there was little tequila in it. Weak lime flavor. If anyone puts this place as a 4 or 5, they must think McDonalds is fine dining. Dont know Nashville very well, but there has to be better than this.

I may be spoiled having come from Southern California and experiencing authentic Mexican.. I was hoping to get lucky and find something here, I have only begun my search and started with La Hacienda - sadly, La Hacienda did not deliver. I ordered the chille rellenos and was very disappointed in the cheese. The carne asada was also not real carne asada as the meat was very tough. The rice was okay. Beans were good. Their chicken nuggets and French fries were great! Im sure this place is awesome if youve never had real authentic Mexican but for me it did not cut it. The service was absolutely awesome though!! ❤️

Very "meh" Visited when the restraurant wasnt busy at all. It was a good 10+ minutes before my server took a drink order. I was informed they have no drink specials-- thatd be a first. EVERY Mexican restaurant Ive ever been to has some sort of happy hour/drink special. Nevertheless, $5 for a very "meh" margarita. Food was bland or overly-salty... Pretty sure they just purchased most of their ingredients from the Food Lion in the same shopping center. Skip this joint, theres WAYY better food in Hermitage.

Went to this restaurant to celebrate a little with my girlfriend and ordered the Chile Relano combo plate. Immediately on the first bite I could tell that something was wrong with the food. Didint taste right. I tryed one more bite and that was all I could handle. I was sick with food poisoning the rest of the weekend. At checkout ,the manager asked how it was and I told him something was wrong with the food and he tryed to offer excuses about the produce. It will be a long day in hell before I eat here again.

Service is always acceptable but the food is awful. No flavor, no spice, bland and boring and portions greatly vary depending on when you visit. We have tried the fajitas (worst Ive ever had). My boyfriend tried the chimichanga once and the meat tasted old and bad, when we told the waiter he just shrugged. Since were local we tried it twice but never again!

I will update this once I actually get my food, I just wanted to make it known how pleasant calling in an order was for me. This guy literally made me smile over the phone with how kind he was being. Not to mention I ordered a pretty particular order and he went over it multiple times with me to make sure it was the right thing. A+++ so far!!

Never had a bad meal at La Hacienda... Great portions offering much higher quality than most neighborhood mexican restaurants. You will not be let down, and you willl leave full and happy. They also have pretty good deals on Margs certain nights of the week. Tip them well and they definitely reward you when you come back.

Wow! The reviewers are mighty rough around here! The food and service was and is always fine. La Ha is typical for good Mexican served anywhere in the Southeast. Im originally from New Mexico, so no Mexican cuisine restaurants around here will ever make me deliriously happy... but the food is just fine for local palates.
