Drive-through order very inconsistent with my usual experience with same food selections dining-in at Panera on Poplar near I-240. I ordered the You-Pick-2 optio -- stawberry poppyseed salad and napa chicken salad sandwich. When I get this combo at Panera on Poplar Ive always been MORE than satisfied (5-stars every time). The salad I got at th Union location had much less food than the one at Poplar. Only a few small pieces of strawberry vs. the several large pieces I get at Poplar. And only a couple of microscopic slices of fresh pineapple vs. several large chunks at Poplar. Much less lettuce and chicken as compared with the same salad/size at the Poplar location. For the money, I would have done better getting a Wendys half-size strawberry fields salad. Also, with the half sandwich at the Poplar location they always give me a small bag of potato chips and pickle slice -- not at the Union location. So Im wondering -- was the reduced food quantity due to being a drive-through customer (inconvenient to go back and complain), or is it this location (management)? Based on the other bad reviews during the past year, my guess its the people (management) at this location.

Why is paneras service so consistently bad? I truly dont understand. We used the drive thru, and first off, couldnt understand the girl through her quiet mumbling. As my husband said his order, she didnt acknowledge in any way that shed heard him. So after the silence and the crickets, he continued on. At the end of our order and more silence, she mumbled off half of our order. Didnt ask "is that correct" or anything. So he said "did you get____" and of course she hadnt, so she quickly mumbled that menu item and he said yes, thats it. Guess what followed that? MORE SILENCE. We sat there for what felt like forever, when finally she says "could you pull around for me." we never got our total, never heard our order, nothing. So when we get to the window, she only has the one item that we originally had to repeat! We still never once heard our total, or our entire order, and we were charged for and received the wrong size drink to top it off. Having worked fast food, I can safely say that you can avoid a world of errors by simply listening and repeating an order.

Should have stuck with Starbucks this morning. Morning crew is lazy, slow, and unenthusiastic. There were about 8 employees total working and only two looked like they were awake. I stood in line at the front for 5 minutes before someone came up front to take my order. Waited almost another 15 to get my coffee and souffle. Other customers had been waiting a long time for their food as well. The wait made me late for work. I did hear the manager trying to get his employees to step it up but they seemed uninterested. He seemed the most on top of it. This was definitely not the Panera experience I am used to. In my opinion, all of those lazy employees should be fired and replaced with people who actually want to go to work. Im pretty sure there are plenty dying for a good job like that. Overall, Im very disappointed. Update: Just opened the bag to eat my souffle...Its the wrong one.

I only gave a 2 star to be generous. I went through the drive thru. When I stopped at the speaker, I sat for about two minutes and no one said anything. I had to say hello before I was even acknowledged and asked my order. I drove around to the window and sat while I thought they were preparing my food, only to be asked what my order was again because they didnt get it. At this point I had cut my car off. When I finally did receive my food (which was only a sandwich and chips), they gave it to me in a huge, grocery sized paper bag, which had to mean they were also out of supplies. Do better. Because this encounter (among others occurring at same location, like forgetting an ingredient) has turned me off from Panera for a while.

I come here often because of their healthy choices, but the service is awful about 95% of time. Today at 8:15 they are out of dark and light roast coffee and bagels. I was looking at the menu on the wall waiting to be greeted but no one spoke to me. I complaint to the management once. She said, Ive never seen you here before. What do you want me to do for you? Sadly, in the 2 years Ive actually visited this place, Ive only seen her twice and both times it was because I asked for an audience with her.

Expect more for the price, as I would probably pay less at a real dine in restaurant. Menu changes are not great. This location has given me chips instead of bread many times when I requested bread, this seems to happen more with the drive thru. Wouldnt care but this is Panera BREAD. The cashiers are friendly, really the highlight of this location. Time it takes to get food isnt bad or great. The new Zaxbys stands to hurt this location if they dont step it up.

Went here for lunch today with my Dad. His soup barely had any chicken or noodles and my Italian Sandwich had only a couple slices of meat and a piece of cheese with some hot pepper mix. People were nice but at $9 for the sandwich and over $5 for the soup I expected more. I am visiting Memphis and I am a regular customer in the Chicagoland area and we get a lot more meat and ingredients in our sandwiches and soup. Quite disappointed!

I have never been more disappointed in a location and I love Panera. But this one on Union is full of incompetence I placed my order the young lady ready it back to me at the window and I had to take it back in 4 times I had to get out my car and go inside just to fix an order smh that is crazy. But what pissed me off was that they tried to keep telling I had it wrong as if it was my fault...REALLY BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE.

Ghetto rude ratchet racist and annoying staff from managers down to line cooks. The only manager thats ever been cool has been the short black guy, hes always friendly with a few female managers. But every one else that works here should be fired all the way to the dishwashers, to the bus people. This place has been like this since last year.

I love Panera Breads menu so I frequent this location because its closer to my home. The only Con that I have is that the employees are sooo rude!! A lot of them are young and probably lack experience. I will say that Marcus, one of the managers that I know by name (Ive had more than one issue there!!), tries to right his employees wrongs.

Love the caramel latte and the egg and cheese sandwich. The food is pretty fresh and staff are mostly friendly. I enjoy coming here and trying the food. The cinnamon crunch bagel is delicious. I have had a couple of times I was very dissatisfied with the staffs presentation of my food and a long wait time, this kept me away for months.
