We have been eating at this restaurant since the first year they were open. Literally for years! It has changed names many times, but the people are exactly the same, year after year, no matter what the name change is. You would think they would eventually get it right. Tonight took the cake. We hesitated about even going in at 5 minutes to 9. We checked the door, it said they closed at 9:30. We were immediately greeted with scowls and frowns like, What are you doing here? One female server stopped sweeping the floor to glare at us when my husband said are we too late? She did not bother to answer him, but slammed the broom down and went to get the menus. It was absolutely outrageously RUDE the way we were treated. It was worse getting close to 9:30, everything changed. I mean TANKED! My 12 year old grandchild had not finished her soup, but the lady was so determined on clearing the table at 9:25, that she took it anyway. she certainly intended to take the rest of it home with her. When the server tried to remove the soup to clear the table, she raised her hand to protest and the lady just took it and ignored her. Then the server literally took the plate from me and I said loudly, "Stop, she wants that food!" She made a face to let us know she was not happy, and stormed off mad! I felt like we were in and elementary school or something. I mean it was outrageous. She had not bothered to refill my Diet Coke the entire time we were there. So I asked her for a refill to go. Of course, she brought me an empty cup, even though I had none left to take. I just looked at it like ... Youre kidding me, right? I said, "Ive already finished my drink. I need Diet Coke in it... not an empty cup." Whoa! There are no words that could describe the glare that I got. When she came back a few mins later, OF COURSE IT CONTAINED REAL COKE...and was dripping all over the outside of it. [As we got up to leave, I knew, I just knew what she had done. I took a drink, and of course it was real coke, not diet.] Well that did it. I was done. We started to the door and I stopped at the cashiers table and told her I would never be back again. The lady sitting there happened to be a Hostess that had nothing to do with any of this. Actually, she was the only one there that had been nice; she was quite pleasant actually. How refreshing. I hated that she had to be the one to get the bad news, but Im sure they were happy to hear it. I told them I would never come back as long as I live, and that I was not going to pay any restaurant ever again to abuse me and my family. I said I had had it, I told her basically what happened, and I finished it by telling her that the server brought me a real coke as if to spite me for asking her for one to begin with. This Hostess was so apologetic - - - kept asking me could she please bring me a Diet Coke back out. I told her I didnt want the Diet Coke, that Im leaving Im never coming back. She kept protesting saying, "Im soooo sorry! Im so sorry! Im so sorry!" And then one of the two servers that had been rude to us came out and said, "Whats the matter? Whats the matter? All I said was, "Im out of here." Trust me, we have been through this same scenario probably 85 to 95% of the times weve EVER had a meal in there. But we were convinced that the food was so much better quality that we continue to go back. We would always brace ourselves and we were walking in saying, "Oh man, are we really back here again?" BTW, theres a young man that works the lunches usually that is out and out rude to us as well. Not a smile from anyone ever! Well, enjoy your life, people! Because Im gone and so glad I am. I cannot believe I didnt do it 10 years ago. And Im even even more mad at myself that we continue to leave a 20% tip every single time we walked in the door. I guess they thought we were telling them that we are appreciated the negativity and abusive behavior of the entire staff. Live and learn. No more good tips to people that dont deserve it. And certainly no more NEW ASIA RESTAURANT for us. Never!

Ordered the fried tofu with spicy salt. It was horrible. Mushy tofu with no flavor. I had eaten one piece and set it aside. When the server asked how everything was, I was honest. Not only did she leave it on the table, she challenged me about why I didnt like it as if my taste were the issue and also like I was trying to get something for free. I. ate. one. piece. To attempt to end the conversation, I told her I would be glad to pay for it, but that I did not like the dish. She never offered to replace the dish with anything else and of course it was on our ticket. When we went to pay, the woman at the register answered the phone in the middle of our transaction and just handed me my receipt without a thank you or getting off the phone. We were one of only a couple of tables in the middle of lunch and I found out quickly why there were so few people there...Not only did you fail to make a customer who would return (I will NEVER be back), you also managed to make one who has never left an online review do so.

The food is good and always presented well. Kudos to the folks behind the swinging doors slinging the pots and pans. The front of the house service is off-putting. Dont ever try to substitute plain fried rice for white rice. It isnt allowed. At least not for Americans. The waitress was not friendly at all. the appetizers were out in a hurry and before I had one bite from my eggroll, out came my entree. there were only 4 tables with people at them while we were there and we all got the same service. Its as if they were bothered because we werent Asian. No friendliness until it came time to pay the bill. Then a totally other waitress asked if everything was ok. Too late to send in the calvary.

Weve eaten here several times. Billed as one of the authentic Chinese places in the metro area, its got a full array of Guandong and Cantonese choices. The decor is minimal and clean. During our last visit, we ordered their highlighted lobster dish. We were extremely disappointed, as it was listed a a whole lobster. The dish that was served had the tail portion omitted. Where is the meat? When we asked the server, they looked at us like we were from another planet. For 24 dollars, I would expect more than the claws and the lobster innards. With so many more choices in the area now for real Chinese food, we probably wont be back.

This restaurant used to be one of my favorites, it was very good, I even gave them 5 stars on Yelp. But recently they hired people that just came from China and the problem is that they dont even speak English and they can become so rude because they dont even want to make an effort in understanding you, so, it has become a nightmare what once was a very good culinary experience. Obviously people who speak Chinese have no problems, but we "western barbarians" are no longer welcome here. And it is even worst if you dare to come when it is their lunch time. For my part I going to look another restaurant.
