Its one thing to experience bad service and another to be discriminated. Our server didnt care to greet us, or smile, or refill our drinks. However, every time she went to the customers on the table in front of us, she smiled, asked them if they needed anything and refilled their drinks. She had a negative attitude from the moment she seated us down. We werent rude or anything, just a decent couple wanting to eat a good dinner on a Sunday evening. Im sad to be treated this way and wont be eating here again. Too bad, we had heard some good reviews about the food here. But if you cant respect your customers, its unfortunate and we wont be eating at your restaurant ever again.

I ordered the summer roll first ( aka a spring roll ) it was bland and dry, not enough mint or cilantro. The peanut sauce ( usually a lovely mix of sweet and salty ) was way way too sweet. For my main meal I got the beef pho because they ran out of ingredients to for a different menu item I originally ordered. The beef was not tender, the broth wasnt very good, and I wasnt brought a plate of the standard bean sprouts, basil, cilantro and other condiments until I was about half way through my bowl. My boyfriend ordered the Cantonese low mein and it was greasy and completely unappetizing. Waitress was friendly but they are obviously understaffed.

I just gave four stars and not five because theres something going on with the waitresses as it seems to be that they are not happy at all and I dont know if they are angry for something but if he gives you the feeling that you are not going to be served as you would like to, but taking that apart and the food is really good, the soup are one of the best that I have had. I think that they are following the original recipe from Asia countries and you should try the house noodle soup which has beef chicken and shrimp all together really good

If u say vietnam lotus as the most authentic vietnamese restaurant at memphis, id say this is the most authentic mandarin and sze chuan restaurant. Try tom yum big bowl soup noodle. Probably more than enough serving size for two. Server was very polite and unlike American restaurant, she even served the food herself. I had no problem tipping generously for the awesome service.

FANTASTIC Chicken Satay and Curry Sauce but stay more with the Chinese fare. If youre looking for a good pho fix, there are tons of Vietnamese places that can handle that (and the fresh spring rolls) so much better. Great ambiance too. Decor is nice and sleek feeling but still welcoming.

Great for take out and lunch. Reasonable prices. Singapore street noodles and shrimp fried rice are great. Their best item is Devils nest soup (almost like a very hot Pho). Service is lacking but efficient.
