For the second time in my life I pray my rating actually closes a place down. Chinese/Asian people globally turn over in their graves thinking about this"food". Worst Chinese Ive ever had in my life, and Ive had bobos. They sent me what appears to be rotten/freezerburned meat, some (pretty severely) undercooked rice, and some (for some weird and unwanted reason) bitter noodles. I really do hope you guys have to pay to remove this post(at least), just so I know that my money isnt going towards your confidence in your cooking skill, or that co,fidenfe in your cooking abiloty gets even close to juvie prison level standards. This is a spit in the face of whatever god you choose to believe in. I gave the driver extra in tip, and even though Im not positive hes related to the business other than delivery wise, I regret it and I hope the place gets shut down. They either need to change whatever business model they have ASAP or they need to close down, and open a Chinese food restaurant that doesnt taste like the Catholic end of the devils backside.

I dont understand why anyone is rating this place well. If I order out I want something better than I can make at home. We ordered beef lo mein, Kung pao chicken, pork fried rice, an order of pork egg rolls, and vegetable egg rolls. Everything was extremely bland. We had to cover everything with soy sauce and pepper just so we could taste something. The noodles in the lo mein were extremely overcooked, and the beef was soggy and bland. The kung pao chicken was extremely bland, nearly tasteless, and the breading on the chicken was nothing but a tasteless mush. Bad Chinese food is a trend in Blo-No, but theres no excuse for such lazily cooked food. We spent $35 on food we ended up eating about a fourth of, then we tossed it and ate leftovers. Maybe I was spoiled by Chinese food in California, but this place is disgusting. If Chings was located in Chicago it would have closed after just a few months. Oh, I forgot to mention that we waited an hour and a half for delivery. Such a horrible experience...

Best Chinese food around. Highly recommend it. The lunch special is unbeatable; comes with an egg roll and a crab rangoon. $6.10 after tax. I really dont understand how people pay $6-10 for lunch at McDonalds or any other fast food restaurant over chings. Ive ate there at least once a week since attending ISU, have yet to get sick of it. Always get your food quickly. If I had money I would invest in a building to move them closer to campus... its a shame because it would be just as packed as chipotle and potbelly around lunch time. Chings is always my go-to when I want classic takeout Chinese in Normal - try ordering it for lunch, their lunch deal is an insane bargain! All the standards are here - beef chop suey, generals chicken, crab rangoon. The kung pao chicken stands out as great, with the right amount of spice and nuts in it. You can see can see back into the kitchen, and I saw two chefs working on disk-sled sized woks. Man! Thats got to be the hardest job on earth. Kudos to the chefs at Chings for doing a great job :D

I ordered food and was told it would be a half hour. After waiting 45 minutes I decided to call and they said "drive in the way be 2 minutes." So I waited another 15 minutes and called them again. I was again told "driver on the way, be 2 minutes." As if it was a script they were reading from. I waited 10 minutes and they said the same thing. I am EXTREMELY UPSET WITH THIS SERVICE AND WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND ANYONE TO USE THIS RESTAURANT. What a joke Ill leave 10 more of these if I could.

I always get takeout here when I want some Chinese. Fast and always fresh. The fried rice is better than most takeout (not soggy, not hard) with good flavor. Also some vegetable dishes like triple green Jade are delicious and not overcooked. I recommend hot chicken and boneless spare rib. Egg rolls are also better than most takeout , overall favorite takeout in the area, always consistent. Cant speak for the delivery, but takeout is always great.

Overall, All my experiences with Chings have been solid. Food is pretty good, orders have been right and its pretty cheap (especially when you use Grubhub!). I think one time I didnt get a fortune cookie which sucked, but other that that great.

Not much to look at on the outside, but lunch specials are cheap and the food is tasty. I had the Kung Pow Chicken with pork fried rice and crab rangoons, all excellent. They earned a repeat customer in me.

Good food and never any service problems. Price is a little expensive though for the food, I get it for a third less at a place when at home from school.

I really like Chings!!! I recommend it, I also recommend Great Wall! They have very nice selections as well with a bit different taste than chings.

Soup was and little bland and was hoping for more shrimp in my meal, but the price is unbeatable with all around pretty good taste

I usually get their orange chicken lunch special. Chicken, rice, crab rangoon, and a pork roll. Very good meal for under $10!

The food is awful. You are better off getting the food from the Illinois State University dining center.

There is this freaky old man who follows you around and stares into car windows. Food sucks too.
