This restaurant was absolutely horrible. My fiance and I came down from Hattiesburg to just enjoy a nice couples day. He suggested he wanted Chinese food and we chose this restaurant. What a huge mistake! The selection, for one, is lackin. Theres only about 8 items to choose from. On top of that the Chinese restaurant doesnt even offer shrimp fried rice! But furthermore, the food made my fiance throw up into a napkin, only after eating about half of his plate!!!! To make matters worse, we received no fortune cookies, which is customary for all Chinese restaurants and when we got ready to pay we were charged $2 extra than what was actually on our receipt. The lady who runs this place also needs to take a training class on customer service etiquette. Shes downright rude. I will never ever, ever, ever, ever, visit this restaurant again!!!

I eat here maybe once a month and have been doing so with friends and co workers for years. That stopped on 9-16-13 when I was insulted by the woman manager as well as disrespected as a paying regular customer. My crime was to ask for a coke with no ice then after finishing it I asked for another and she refused. I must have really effected her profit margine. As I was paying she sarcasticly asked if I got my drink and I said no. She said your lucky you got food today. I told her I didnt appreciate the manner I was treated as a customer. This woman was less than professional and lacked proper customer service skills. Her comment was ugly and mean. AVOID THIS BUSINESS.

The worst Chinese restaurant Ive EVER been too. First off the rude woman behind the counter taking the order charged me $2.00 more then the menu said. Then the woman tried to get me to change my order. Then when I get my sweet n sour chicken its just fried chicken with sweet n sour sauce on it. And I had to put the sweet n sour sauce on it myself. For $8.75 per plate all you get is fried chicken and a side of sweet n sour sauce. Thats it!! No rice no egg roll. Not to mention the people that work there were rude as hell. No wonder they are dead on a Friday night. Trust me save your money and go anywhere else!! The food is horrible also. What little food you do get.

All the fish in the tanks seemed to be having a very difficult time making there way from one side of the tank to the other. There were no castles in the fish tanks, only pebbles!!! Can you believe that??? Although there were few choices the food was fresh and tasty. Mrs Suzie yelled at my friend for not using a new plate at the buffet. I appreciated that a lot. The whole atmosphere made for a very entertaining dining experience. 5 of us ate two plates a piece and paid only $50. Overall, good experience.

Best buffet on the gulf coast!! I’ve been eating there for the past 6+ years. There are several other places that have more selection and maybe a prettier looking restaurant but NOBODY has better food. Definitely my #1 favorite place in Gulfport. I have never been there and not liked the food. Not once and that speaks volumes because I cannot say that about my next favorites. It really is that good and that consistent. Just go try it yourself.

Small buffet style but everything i like, nice friendly staff and owner is always there. Good price for all u can eat n drink for 2 people $17 lunch or $19 for dinner, its a quaint lil place that has been here a while and the decor while interesting its a little dated...I go for the food n hospitality...I recommend you give it a chance, it is just a small local business too! (I think you can order off a menu as well )

This is the BEST Chinese place in Gulfport hands down. All the locals eat here. The food is unparalleled and the service cant be beat. Go see Mrs Sue for dinner and tell her a local sent you. Shes been her for years and Shell make sure you either leave fat and happy or with a big plate of to go food. They charge a set fee for dining in. They charge by the pound for to go plates. Highly recommended.

Have eaten here a few times over the years, but have just recently started appreciating this place more. The food is always fresh and tasty, including the egg drop soup which is often not so great for some reason at other Chinese buffets. Service is good and its usually not too loud or anything. If you like what the type of items they provide, youll probably dig this place a lot.

This is one of my favorite local restaurants. Ive been a regular for the past 7 or 8 years. The food is always fresh, even if you go just before closing time. The buffet is limited but you can order anything from the menu and its made fresh for you. My only complaint is that the waitstaff changes too frequently. Just when you get to know your servers they leave.

PLEASE DO NOT GO TO THIS RESTAURANT BECAUSE THE OWNER IS SOOOOOO RUDE & HAS BEEN EVERYTIME I HAVE ATE THERE!!!! The food is not worth the price. Great local restaurant! Great food that is hard to find in many Chinese restaurants. If you believe theres not enough selection on the buffet (which you wont need more after tasting) order from the large selection on the menu. A place where more than satisfaction is in the FOOD!

South China is an outstanding restaurant experience. The customary early 90s decoration and calming Christmas music really set the stage for a fine, inexpensive dinner. Staff was very helpful and welcoming. Food was fresh and plentiful, and health codes seemed to be adhered to

They serve very little food for a buffet. Its not all that great but it fills the tummy. The best is the egg drop soup.
