My family and I will never be returning to this establishment. To get our food, we had to ask. We waited about 30-40 minutes after ordering our appetizers before we had to ask for them. Then, we waited for another 30 minutes before we had to ask the manager about our entrees (which we ordered at the same time as our appetizers). After asking, they magically appear seconds later, which leads me to believe they had been sitting in the back for quite some time. Upon receiving our food, we noticed that everything was wrong and room temperature. They were even specific allergies that we addressed while ordering and it seemed like there was no attention payed to our request. We were told they got "backed up", but the restaurant was relatively empty and the cook was taking a stroll outside while multiple tables did not receive their orders. We also only had the chance to talk to our waitress 2 or 3 times. The wait staff was basically nonexistent. No thank you. I will gladly take my business somewhere else. The only redeeming quality of the whole situation was the fine memphis brew I enjoyed while waiting.

Ive been to Hickory Tavern several times and the food almost always comes from the kitchen SLOW. The wait staff and the quality/taste of the foods brings me back. For instance, today my 2 daughters and I waited MORE than 45 minutes for 3 orders of wings. Our waiter, Dominique, was great though. He came and explained why our order was taking so long and apologized for the delay. He continued to refill our beverages and was as attentive as he could be while we waited for our food. The orders came to the table hot and was delicious. If I could do separate ratings for the kitchen service, the food itself, and the wait staff, my ratings would be 2, 5, 5 respectively. I am giving it an overall 4 stars as an average of the 3 separate scores I wanted to give separately.

The waiter spilled our drinks on the table on my phone. He wiped the phone off on the armpit of his shirt and never said sorry. After cleaning the mess we were reassured several times our food was almost ready. After waiting 1hr & 20min for our food it finally came out. Portions were okay but I only received 14 small sweet potato fries and my friends nachos were burnt black. The nachos probably couldve been served sooner huh. Another friend of mine ordered chips and they were soggy so he could poke his fork through them. Our waiter also went in the bathroom and would disappear alot. Our waiter even walked behind us and said the F-word. Well at least the bathrooms were kinda clean. I wish I was making this up... ..

We called to let them know that 17 people were coming. Very rude told could not take reservations did not want one just letting them know we are coming. We get there and are told it was two hour wait. There were tables empty some sat 10.Told them we will separate. They said will try to fit us in we waited 45 min went back talk to manager he said two hours again. I told him we already waited 45 min he we could not even split up. My granddaughter like the place it was her birthday she is 9. We left went to Chilis and they took us right in and they were busy also. Side note they had a group who called and got a table reserved for them. RESERVED FOR THEM. Remember they said no reservations

Horrible experience!! It only got a 2 because the beer was cold and the TVs were color. Drinks sat empty food was 45 min wait . Ordered 12 wings which Im pretty sure took a salt bath so after 5 my tongue was just about numb couldnt force the rest down. You would think a server would notice that I hadnt eaten half my wings and ask if everything was ok but nope. Couldnt figure out where the fruit flies were randomly coming from until I reached for some of my wifes broccoli and bam here come the fruit flies. So needless to say unless its to drink a beer and watch game from the bar we wont be back.

Waited for our food for over 45 minutes and it still didnt come. Asked for manager twice and she did not come to address our issues. Paid for our drinks and left. As we were leaving another supervisor had a few words and added more to the POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE! As a business owner myself, I explained to my kids that this type of poor customer service starts at the top! a company that cares about good customer service, it shows throughout the company! Ive seen some bad customer service before, but this one has made my top 5 list! SMH

Ordered a burger with fries and they were out of fries. Settled for tater tots and they tasted like something out of an Ore Ida bag. Terrible. Went Sunday 05/30 around 6 pm and the place was nearly deserted. Had to get up twice and go over to our server to get her attention although she only had 3 tables. Too many choices in the area to settle for a poor dining experience.

Service was ridiculously slow. Not waiters fault at all, was attentive to drinks as best as she could be. Incompetent kitchen staff, waited an hour to eat very average/below average food. Live music was a nice touch, but entirely too loud for a small indoor dining room. Couldnt hear the person across from me over the music. Second time eating here, unimpressed both times.

30 minutes for food to come out of the kitchen. There were 2 broken plate pieces in my shrimp tacos. Lucky I did not chip a tooth or swallow the glass. Informed the waiter and they did not charge us for the meal. No manager follow up. Seemed like it happens all the time. They only seem to be focused on drinks and tvs. Serving safe, good food is a low priority.

We used to love this place, but it has gone downhill fast. Tonight, after waiting to be seated for 30 minutes when we were told it would be 10, we waited another 40 minutes for our food. Our drinks were never refilled, and our waitress never came to check on us. She also described my wifes side item wrong and it was inedible.

I have only had good service and good food here. Not your every day bar food; great lobster roll, shrimp/fish tacos, the filet was perfect and also love the homemade chips, and the Salads are amazing. When it is super busy, expect it to take a little longer....all food is freshly prepared.

Taken care of. Server has been attentive and timely. Everything came out at the same time for our business party. We had a scheduled a Xmas party for Ashley furniture for 20 people ordering the works. Everything was perfect. We had a phenomenal time. Thank you Hickory Tavern!

Have the cedar planked salmon with roasted brussels sprouts and sweet potato fries for an unexpectedly incredibly delicious not pub food dinner. The atmosphere is kinetic. Many many tv screens so if you want a quiet night out not the place but wow.

Came here on break. Looked online for what I wanted prior to coming in. I was greeted sat outside and enjoyed a wonderful burger served by Latasha OMG the burger was so good. Blue moon bear make it extra special. Come back again to treat myself
