The food is so yummy and the staff is outstanding and very friendly! The food is hot and fresh. My mom and I went on a monday and wanted the beef fried steak, there was one sitting in the tray and the lady was kind enough to go to the back and get us two hot and fresh ones. (Who actually does that anymore now a days?! - most places just dish out what they got).The ladies and gentlemen serving us at our table were so sweet and attentive! The place is clean and friendly. The cost isnt bad at all - for two people - each with a meat and three veggies, and one soft drink it was around $25. Totally worth it for some good ole fashion home cooked meal. I would choose this place any day over cracker barrel!!

This place is fantastic! Ownership has recently changed and the place has a whole new vibe!! The food is really good, especially the special "Banjos" menu that has a delicious version of Nashville hot chicken! The regular meat and three options are all really good also. I like the chicken tenders and Mac and cheese. They also have live music at night sometimes that adds another awesome feature to a great atmosphere! Check them out!!! Ill post pics next time I go ;)

Archdale Church of Christ

Outstanding breakfast! Served buffet style, the selection is generous, with the eggs and wafflles cooked to order. I had eggs over medium, hasbrown casserole, bacon, and a Belgian waffle. The coffee was hot and robust. Not crowded but it was on a Monday. The eggs were cooked perfectly as was the waffle. The bacon was crispy and flavorful. The service was attentive from both the staff and the management. I will be back when I am back in town next.

I LOVE City Cafe. A good ole southern meat-n-three in all aspects. Delicious made from scratch southern food and sweet tea with a different menu each day. And the service is second to none. Oh, and you have to try one of the pies while youre there. Oh my the pies!!! UPDATE: City Cafe is now open for breakfast and it is just as good as youd expect from them. In a word, delicious!!!

Not impressed at all. Maybe the food is better at lunch but certainly not at dinner. Had the catfish, which tasted like mud. Mashed potatoes w/gravy(i didnt want) and we were well into eating before anything to drink was brought (which I had to get up and ask for) the deviled eggs and broccoli were good though. Way over priced for the quality of food you get

Solid meal always. Breakfast cheesy potatoes are awsome, very high quality bacon. For lunch Candied Meatloaf or Tri Tip from the carving station. Lots of choices of yummy sides. The atmosphere is always electric with smiling staff that spreads easily to the guests especially at lunch. Always lifts me up lunch.

I was born and raised in the country and The city cafe is where I go to get some good country type Food. They have meat and three. I recommend this place if you want a little taste of home in the city.

Its average food. The chicken and noodles had more noodles and very little chicken. Green beans were soggy and over cooked. Turnip greens were cooked nicely but had no flavor added.

Great location in Brentwood. The staff is very friendly and courteous. Great selection of very good food including breakfast. They have pastries too - great for your office staff.

A lot for little $ especially LOL w/our family of seven. Some new amazing things noticed. My faves? California "TRI-TIP" or HOT CHCKN-N-WAFFLS. Come early though...it goes quick.
