Frankly, the food at Bricks is pretty decent. I have no complaints in this area. However, in my 49 years of life, I have never experienced such rudeness by the owner of a restaurant. I have eaten in thousands of restaurants throughout the world - from five star to holes in the wall - but this one takes the cake. I spent a couple of years wincing (and biting my tongue) at the poor management - simply because the restaurant has decent food and is very close to my home. But one experience finally did it for me - and weve never been back. Here is the story... We took my mother, age 79, to Bricks for dinner - within days from having a lung removed, due to cancer, and starting chemotherapy. When we arrived, around 5pm, there was only ONE couple seated in the entire restaurant. I told the hostess that we would need a table for five. When she noticed there were only three of us, she said that she would seat us when the rest of our party arrived. I then explained that my wife had just dropped us off - but she would be returning with our other child in about 10 minutes. I went on to explain that I was ready to order for the entire party - if she could please seat us. At that point she said that the owner forbid her to seat people unless the entire party was there. I then pulled her aside and said, "Listen, I understand the policy - however, there is only one couple seated and I have a 79 year old mother who is sore from surgery and suffering from late-stage cancer. She needs to sit down at a table, now." The hostess, again, repeated herself and walked away. To say the least, I was furious. The next day I called for the owner and finally located him at their other location. I explained the situation to him - and this was his response (verbatim): "Im happy to hear that my hostess followed our policy and have nothing more to say to you." He then hung up on me. NOTE: If you find yourself near Bricks - go eat at Austins. The food is good, the prices are fair - and the owners and managers are nice and accomodating.

When I have visited in the past, I wanted to split a cheeseburger with my mom because we cant eat such a large burger. They tacked on a $3 dollar charge for splitting the meal. I mean seriously, this is NOT a fine dining restaurant. Also, for $3.5 dollars more we could have had another burger! But the reason I am writing this review is because last night, I told the waiter I would like a glass of pinot noir. He pointed me to the wines and by mistake, I said Kendall Jackson which was under the Chardonnay section. I was so hungry that I wasnt thinking when I said that. I thought it was a Pinot. He brings out the Chardonnay and I tell him I wanted a Pinot Noir (which is what I did originally tell him). He tells me it is POLICY that once it is poured, I HAD to take it and pay for it. Now, they charge 9 dollars for this glass and I think an entire bottle cost 10 bucks in the liquor store. I will NEVER eat there again as this is NOT a neighborhood setting and they have the WORST customer service for such a small establishment. I will sit back and smile as more and more customers get tired of such crappy service and they go out of business. Ridiculous especially in this economy.

My husband and I enjoy eating out at Bricks. We havent had any trouble with service like the other reviewers seem to have had. Even when they were busy the longest weve had to wait was 15-20 min. The food is EXCELENT! I have tried something different each time weve gone there and everything has been prepared perfectly and tasted wonderful. The prices are a little steep for my husband and I, but thats mostly because we have a tight budget. They seem compareable to other resturaunts in the area; roughly 10-13 dollars a plate. They have a small bar with a decent wine and beer selection as well.

Wow, ole bricks cafe. Im a former employee and let me tell you this rating doesnt surprise me a bit. While some of the food is decent, I did get sick after many lunches, but thats not the worst of it. The main problem with this place is the management. The owner was screwing a waitress after hours on tables, the hostess stand, you name it. To top that off, the waitress had a boyfriend of many years who worked in the kitchen...didnt know she had been cheating on him. Sad story all around. Choose someplace better.

I took the family to another restaurant here in Williamson County and ended up wishing we were at Bricks Cafe. At Bricks, my wife and son eat salads, my daughter likes the pizza and I get a really good steak or a nice piece of fish for less money than other places. You can save yourself some trial and error by going to Bricks Cafe first.

Manager has horrible phone skills. Met owner in person and he was intentionally physically threatening to me after i asked a VERY simple, reasonable question about his policies. Several waitresses have confessed to his repeated verbal abuse that has on occasion teetered on the verge of sexual harassment. Skip this place

First time at Bricks this evening. Nice little local restaurant with very good food. I would say that its better than a Chilis, Macaroni Grill, etc. but not as good as a Red Pony, Sapphire, etc. But then again, its a fraction of the price compared to the later two. Yes, I would go back again.

Food is priced good tho my burger wasnt cooked well enough. Also, waitress claimed not to know exact price of dessert I wanted; gave me price range of their desserts. It was $8 for a slice.
