New location is extremely disappointing. This place used to have a coolness factor with tons of amazing old windows. The furniture used to be so comfortable and a great solo or gathering place. It used to feel bright, cozy, roomy and inviting with lots of character. Unfortunately, they cant seem to decide what they want to be. Seems like they suddenly want to be a restaurant no longer a coffehouse. So, for anyone looking for the fabulous, fun, cool hangout that used to exist, you will be sadly disappointed and met by a new sterile, cold, generic place. While it is nice, thats all it is; no coolness, no uniqueness, nothing special, just like any other nice restaurant. What a mistake they made moving this place. It went from a total must to a why bother - they used to be n A, now they are merely a C- So bland, plain vanilla and ordinary. There are so many better choices like The Jam, Pinewood Social, Honest Coffee Co, Steadfast Coffee.

Off the recommendation of our AirBnB host, we were excited to venture here for breakfast on a Saturday morning. Highly disappointed. They were out of several menu items.. not seasonal, special type food but standard menu items. It was 10 o clock, 1 hour after opening. After making alternate selections, we moved to choosing coffee. Yet again, out of several ingredients and several items on their online menu they did not make at all. Food: The Monte Christo was excellent, which is was is keeping this a 2star versus a 1star but my wifes bacon was uncooked and the grits were quite lumpy. Eggs were quite unseasoned. Coffee: Presentation was cute, taste was not so good. We ordered one with skim milk and one without regular and upon arrival there was no mention of which was which. Sadly, we will not return to Edge Hill nor would we ever recommend it to any of our friends. Best of luck in the future.

Was really hoping for a good experience here. Love the location and the ambiance within the restaurant was delightful. Its unfortunate that the lack of service was appalling, with a number of servers and very few guests. The total dining time was 1 hour and 15 minutes. It took 20 minutes to get a refill on a glass of tea that initially took 10 minutes to get. It took around 30 minutes to get our hamburgers from the time we ordered. When they finally came, the fries were cold and soggy. Ordered a side of fruit, but that came out as a side of fries. Perhaps it was an off day for the server and kitchen, but the experience is all the same.

Come here for beverages and study only, not food! I ordered a soup with a side of bread and they bring out cold bread, cold butter, and flavorless soup. I love how a knife was included.....exactly how was I supposed to spread the butter? I guess I should have dropped the butter in the soup. I returned it and got a strawberry walnut salad. They brought out a salad with grapes. This shows poor communication between staff and poor customer service. I let them keep my $7 and learned my lesson....no eating at Edgehill Cafe

Update (may 2016): oh how the great have fallen. This coffee shop lost so much appeal when they moved. Food and coffee is still great , environment not so much :-( Old review before the move: This place is just fantastic. Staff is amazing, Food is wonderful, and atmosphere is one of a kind. Oh and their WIFI is actually fast and can handle the customers demands. Its finals week right now and its not struggling at all unlike most chain coffee shops.

What started as a 4-5 star hip and welcoming neighborhood classic of a cafe has been reduced to a mediocre mash up that cant seem to decide what it wants to be when it grows up. The atmosphere and food have gone from exceptional to unremarkable, and I cant bring myself to face the disappointment of returning yet again. Even the once stellar kale salad has been transformed into a shrunken generic version of its former self. Sad!

Anything thats a bread sucks. The eggs and meats are delicious though. The chicken and waffles - the chicken was cooked perfectly, but the waffle was comparable to that of reheated eggo waffles. My friend had their French toast and that was the worst version of a some sort of bread pudding that anyone at the table have ever had.

They make a white-chocolate orange mocha that is to die for. Their regular brew coffee is just that - regular - and the food my friends and I have tried is the same. But the ambiance, the friendliness of the staff, and the delicious frou-frou coffee drinks makes it a great hangout and study spot.

Food is really good, but a bit on the pricy side ($5 for cheese grits?!?). House coffee, on the other hand, is dirt cheap ($1.50 for a large to go cup). The place is chic and comfy. Itd be a great place for a casual business meeting or for breakfast with friends.

Yuppies making a pretense at what might otherwise pass for hip or artsy if the food and crowd wasnt so bland and uninspired. Normally one is rewarded for this kind of environment with decent food, sadly, this is far from the case with this spot.
