I drove 30 minutes to get here. The only chinese place close to where I live is Ichiban Queen City Blvd. That place sucks. So I found tjis on Google. OK the place looks clean. The waiter was ok. He kept close by checking if everything was ok. The food was your average food with a few new kind of dishes. The sushi was good. The hibachi grill was packed. The thing that stood out the most is the food is kept on the hot bar on plates other than the cafeteria style hot pans. There fore the food is fresher than other places since it has to be replenished more often. First place in a long time that has crab legs on the bar. My favorite buffet back home in Ga. has started offering them by order only. $4 a pound. The decor was nice. I love the bridge over the Koi pond that seperates the entrance to the dining area. The Koi pond was clean and no smell. I have seen some that the algae was out growing the Koi and the smell would knock you down. I would have given this place 5 stars but because I had to share my 1st table with an army of ants kinda took that 5th star away. I will defiantly come back.

I decided to eat here because of the reviews. Im guessing I got the wrong place or people around here dont know good food. The food was maybe a 2 out of 10. The service was ok. The place was nice and it was clean. The buffet area was very clean and neatly kept. The first thing I noticed as I walked up was the big poster saying the prices had dropped. That should have made me walk away but I was hungry. By some of the reviews I read people said the prices were a little bit to much. Ive never seen a restaurant actually listen to their reviews like this and lower their prices. Im both impressed and surprised by this. Did they find a cheaper supplier to compensate the cost or was it really over priced before? My opinion its still over priced for the quality of the food. My suggestion is find a new supplier. Now to the worst part of my experience. To me live fish should not be in a restaurant. As soon as I walked in I noticed the river and the awful smell. It was the worst Ive ever walked into. Do all of your customers a favor and move it outside.

Spectacular ! As an otr truck driver i get to eat just about everywhere in the continental U.S. and i am an authority on buffets, especially chinese. I can tell ya hands down this is one of the best. Great selection , everything kept up with and fresh. I noticed they didnt always fill some dishes up all the way but instead kept replenishing to keep them fresh. The sushi was very good. I am an experienced sushi eater and no , they couldnt compete with a sushi rest but it was top notch for a chinese buffet. I even ate the sashimi ! Of course i was in early on a Sat which is best for all buffets. Service was impeccable even though they were very busy. Even the Mexicans at the sushi/habachi bar were warm and friendly with big smiles. I even spoke to one mexican gentleman with my broken spanish while he replenished the buffet , very friendly and he made me feel very welcome. Nowadays its a hard thing to say but , thanx for giving me my moneys worth. Great meal , great service , great value !

On a whim we tried Ambers and were amazed -- from the moment you walk in by the clear stream filled with shimmering carp to the neon color-changing lights overhead to the sumptuous spread of seafood, sushi, Asian delicacies and sweet little desserts the place blew away all of our expectations. The place was full of families whove discovered this treasure trove -- totally worth it and a smart price for the buffet. The wait staff was gracious and attentive, always smiling. The manager came around to speak to us personally and shared with us the story of how the restaurant started. One hilarious thing was that little kids everywhere were thrilled with the trash cans in the rest rooms -- they are motion-sensored to open so they are extra sanitary. I truly hope this place lasts! Give em some business -- they are wonderful and trying very hard! Most restaurants fail in the first 2 years unless people make the effort to spread the word, so try it for yourself and see if it isnt great!

Never went to the former "Lucky Buffet" but my first of several trips to Amber was enlightening. The atmosphere is awesome. I love the hibachi area and how it is so modern in its decoration. Definitely a date-night idea. The staff is EXTREMELY friendly ! Always greeted at the door, and the servers are always attentive. Now, to the food. I really, really like the way everything is neatly presented on the buffet. Instead of using big tin buckets" to throw the food into, they actually take pride in arranging and presenting the dishes neatly, on the plates. Small things like that make a difference. There is a huge variety of items on the buffet, as well. Anything from dishes we cant really pronounce to dishes like chicken tenders and fries for those who arent the biggest fans of Asian cuisine. CRAB LEGS> its hard to keep these on the buffet ! The sushi is incredible. Wayyy better than any other sushi Ive ever seen on a buffet. Awesome overall!!

Have been several times and food was good but the today my wife wasnt feeling good and tried a couple bites and got sick so asked for a box to take her plate and knowing that she didnt get any extra food or another plate they made us pay for hers twice....One buffet and also by the pound going out the door so she ended up paying $18 for 1/2 pound of food and sweet tea.....No matter how good the food is I will not be back due to the way they handled things there

This place needs to be closed down. I use to go all of the time, but the other day when I went the waitress were hawking and spitting were they make the drinks and one was in the bathroom throwing up. The food was cold....been out all day since lunch and they were adding water to all of the food. I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO THIS PLACE!!! SO DISGUSTING!!! THESE PEOPLE ARE NASTY!!! SAVE YOURSELF AND GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. IM REPORTING THEM TO THE HEALTH DEPARTMENT!!!!

Above average Asian buffet. With some well prepared options available. Food is served on heated serving dishes rather than typical stainless steel resturant pans. The sushi bar was excellent. There were many different types to choose from. The buffet and dining area were extremely clean and well staffed. The only negative was the bathrooms which were in extreme need of service to the point where we took our children to a gas station after eating.

A Chinese food buffet. Walk in and the hostess seats you. There are about 100 choices on the main buffet. There is a side bar with about 12 different sushi choices. They also have a grill section where you pick your ingredients and they flat top cook them. Dessert is on a separate counter. All the food is good, but not great. Dinner without a drink was $11.99. When available crab legs are extra.
