A nice little fine dining restaurant located right off the boardwalk in Shelter Cover Marina. We walked right up and got seated right away and the service was excellent. The patio seating allows you to watch boats coming and going out of the harbor and is a great place to watch the sun go down. Of note, this restaurant is "Pet Friendly" so dont be alarmed if an owner has their large dog next to them at the table. The hosts will actually bring a water bowl out for them. I think it adds to the atmosphere. Overall a great experience and a great time. Tip: The Chicken Cordon Bleu special was amazing!

Went at lunch time, set outside with a lovely view. Had the French Onion Soup and it was wonderful. My husband had the crab cake sandwich and said it was really good as well. It was a pleasant surprise. The lunches prices were priced well. Although we loved our view the waitress was a bit slow. We sat there waiting for our ticket a little longer then we would have liked. Next time we visit the island, we will be back to eat at Bistro 17.

Used to love this restaurant until this week when insufferably rude owner made a scene after waiter had courteously addressed a misunderstanding that arose from a misnamed dish on the appetizer menu. Owner criticized patron loudly and angrily and said she should never return. Believe me, she wont! Food not bad, service sometimes slow, sometimes friendly, but no customer should ever be treated in such an uncouth manner.

After being constantly disappointed by the food on the island we stumbled upon this place by accident. The food is fairly expensive but worth the money. The food was cooked perfectly although slightly over seasoned. The waitstaff was extremely pleasant and punctual. The complimentary bottle of wine was a nice addition.

This is the best restaurant on the island if you love fabulous food, cozy/romantic atmosphere, and a view of the harbor. One could actually have a conversation, without TVs blaring, and loud people. Truly enjoyed the piano/clarinet players. Our waitress (forgot her name, but was from Russia) provided excellent service.

Probably our favorite in Shelter Cove. That goes for our canine daughter as well because of the great service she gets when she joins us. They even have a doggie menu! Great for brunch as well. Run by the owners who do a terrific job.

Love the food and the service was great.....reminds me of Marina Royal St. Martin....beware of your credit card being over charged here. My bill was one number and the charge was much higher...Pay cash! if you go....still great place

Horrible food that is incredibly over priced. I ordered snapper, but it could have been swordfish. It was the most expensive horribly overcooked fish I have ever had. My husband ordered the duck. It was also overcooked. Please skip.

Good food, but got overcharged. Server (who is owner!) rang up 22 imported beers instead of 2. Claimed it "was dark" and didnt notice. Removed overcharge when requested, but then asked if a 15% tip could be added. Pretty nervy!

A great location especially in summer outside where you can enjoy the fireworks shows. Enjoy the ribeye on the bone while watching the passing scene and sunset over the marina and Calibogue Sound. Best available steak on island.

Excellent dining experience. French cuisine as it should be. Terrific service from Eliana (sic?) We had four different entrees and all were excellent. Good wine. A very pleasant evening. We will visit often!
