My husband took me to dinner here for my birthday yesterday and it was amazing! The environment inside is very cozy and romantic. There is low lighting with lots of stone walls. We both ordered the strip steak and it was one of the best weve had in quite a while. Very hard to find steak this good in Greenville at that price. For the sides, we had steak fries and green beans. The fries were very good and the green beans with pecans were excellent. We finished the meal with banana cream pie and the Big Daddy Chocolate Cake. Both were incredible! By far, some of the best desserts we have ever had. I am a lover of chocolate cake and this one is just beyond compare. One thing that made the experience so great was the service. I was blown away by how professional and friendly every single staff member was. Everyone from the hostess to the waiter to the food runner and everyone in between was courteous and made you feel welcomed without being overbearing or feeling fake like the service you get at a lot of other restaurants. Even on my way to and from the restrooms if there was ever a staff member in my path they would take notice of me coming and stop what they were doing to step aside and wave to let me through first...all with a smile on their face. I dont think I have ever had better service. All in all, a really wonderful experience. Im so glad we have a restaurant of this caliber in Greenville! We will definitely be going back soon.

This was our first time to this restaurant. The atmosphere and decor were really cool. The wine list had some great choices and implemented different ounce pours onto the list which I think is great. The lobster queso was great as an app and the coconut shrimp were very good. The sauce said habenero chutney and there was no habenero in it. It was pretty sweet. The only issues we had were soggy fries and my entree came out incomplete. The food was good though so we would go back. The service definitely left more to be desired. We had to ask for drinks. At one point we didnt see our server Felicia for so long I had to flag down another server to get a glass of wine. She just seemed kinda "over it" like she didnt want to be there. There were also a couple of other servers walking around looking miserable. Ive been a server in fine dining for 10 plus years so I am being critical but I was surprised by our servers lack of menu knowledge and care factor. We would go back and try it again.

"Absolutely unacceptable" first and last time going. I accompanied my friends for a birthday dinner half the table ordered their meals but no one was served yet. So I ordered a Cesar salad along with another lady that ordered the same time I did. Orders started coming out still waiting everyone was half way done, so I decided to cancel my order as well as my friend. 5 mins later the older waitress brings the salads out. I informed her that I just cancelled that order with her. She stated "the salad has been credited and their just going to throw it away so I might as well eat it" , as she slams the plate on the table and proceeds to ask if I want pepper....Furious I asked for the manager. He apologized said he could box the salad but by this time I was in such disgust I lost my appetite told him I didnt want the salad.

On Saturday 01/16/16 my friends and I decided to visit Firebirds. When we arrived we were told by a male host our wait time would be an hour. We waited a little over an hour I went to the counter and a female hostess informed us our wait time was an additional 15-20 minutes. I informed her that was not the time given by the male host when we first arrived. We waited about another 10 minutes and we notice people arriving after us was being seated. They did not have reservations because they were also seating and waiting along with us. We decided to leave, I returned the pager and never received an apology or explanation as to why we never got seated. It will be a long time before my friends and I go back to Firebirds if we ever decide to go back.

I have eaten at firebirds at other locations and had good food and experiences, however not at this location. I ordered the ribeye with a baked potato and ceaser salad. The "steak" that I was served was not a ribeye, it was a tough cut of beef, however given the price of the plate, that should have never been allowed out of the kitchen. Not to mention the salad was drenched in so much dressing it was almost impossible to eat. I am a business traveler, Ive eaten at a variety of restaurants through out the US and the world and have never had to return a plate nor would I ever. I would think twice before visiting this location and spending your own money here. I didnt even feel good about my company having to pay for this sub par meal.

Every time my husband and I have been to Firebirds we have been delighted with the food and the staff. The food is expertly prepared with mostly generous portions and inventive offerings. The filet mignon was melt in your mouth tender. The filet en brochette was also wonderful, although the vegetables were a bit underdone for my taste. The sesame encrusted salmon was so good with a crisp sesame crust and moist salmon inside. We did find the baby back ribs portion small as compared to other local offerings. We heartily recommend Firebirds whether dining inside or al fresco. One other thing, there are televisions in the bar, but not in the dining room. How great is that!

The sauce was OK, didnt seem to be cream and brandy, but tasty. Temp was very nice, medium rare as ordered. The peppercorns were abundant and tasty. The only issue I had with the steak is that it seemed to be overly tenderized mechanically. Having been a chef I know of techniques used to tenderize lower quality cuts of meat. It destroys the inherent flavor of the meat. The texture becomes flaccid and mealy. You would do better to leave the meat as it arrives, saving the flavor in lieu of "tenderness". This was indicated by the lack of jus coming from the meat as it rested at medium rare.

The Firebirds Wood Fired Grill is what dining out should be for anyone in Greenville. My wife and I have dined there several times. Weve invited friends to join us there for meals. I find myself recommending the Firebirds Wood Fired Grill to anyone who may be looking for a place that is new and exceptional. The food is top notch. The servers are courteous and very knowledgeable about the menu items. The decor is wonderful, especially the "bottle" walls that add so much color. Without hesitation I would recommend the Firebirds Wood Fired Grill to anyone.

Posting a few months late but wanted to give a great rating to this Firebirds restaurant. I had my graduation lunch here for about 20 people and they were nothing but accommodating! The 2 servers that we had were great, so patient with so many people. We got out food in great time and overall just had a great experience. Brought a cake and the staff were helpful with letting us put it in the fridge and bringing it out when we were tray with plates and forks. Had a great experience and would highly recommend!
