We very much look forward to going here when we are in the area for summer and Holiday visits. We are greeted by waitstaff so wonderfully every time we go in and the proprietor is the type that has no trouble sitting down with you and visiting with you when he is able. You just dont get that in chain restaurants.This reminds me of the good old days when people took time to get to know you.The food is always great and wonderfully portioned for the price.. A very homey atmosphere. Just love this place.They really strive to please you.

The food was excellent however the server was not! She was rude, rushed, and seemed to have an issue not rolling her eyes every time we asked or needed something. We left her a 5.00$ tip on a 40.00 bill, her tip easy would have been $15.00 or more if she had not seemed so inconvienced by our visit. I recommend someone having a talk with their young servers on how to make your guests feel welcomed.

Stopped in for all you can eat fish fry with friends. First plate had 2 nice pieces of fish n abundance of fries. Asked for more fish n was told i could get only one more piece of fish. Very disappointed. Nothing on menu or walls stating not all you can eat. Beware of all you can eat fish fry on Friday.

Awful food.. not only is the food greasy, but the seats, and ketchup bottles too.. not a very clean place. Also, Owner ended a marriage of 26 years.. not a good man.

Sad. Day. Drove and met friends from out of town to have breakfast there. They were suspose to be open until 2 PM but closed early at 11 AM. 03/09/17

The food and staff are great. The prices are reasonable. The only downside is that they have rather strange hours.

The American Heritage is very, cozy, family, reataurant. I reccomend going there for breakfast, lunch, or dinner.
