Out of the gate, Nova carried my wifes favorite wine, so thats the end of that story. As for me, Im a bourbon/cocktail kind of guy and the Nova Old Fashion, was the ticket.T he black cherries and the cinnamon stick shifted the drink just left-of-center enough to add the nonchalant twist I look for "on the rocks". For Starters, the LOBSTER BAO, was good, but nothing to rave about and would not order again. Andrea was our server and she was pleasant, very attentive, and comfortably engaging. She did a great job of guiding our selections. The un-expected surprise of the night was the DEVILED SCOTCH EGG. Chorizo wrapped cage-free fried egg, peppadew pepper egg mousse, candied bacon jam; I dont even know what a peppadew, but whatever it is, peppa better keep on dewin it! My wife had the FAROE ISLAND SALMON. This dish was phenomenal and the #1 reason we returned for dinner the following evening. The salmon was cooked perfectly at the chefs discretion, and the mozzarella risotto made a surprisingly pleasant bed for the salmon, which added a smooth, rich support flavor to the dish. Andrea had recommended that we make sure to get some of the accompanying pickled vegetables mixed in with each bite, this put the dish over the top. Its amazing how these thoughtful little side-flavors and can transform an amazing dish into an experience. I opted for the DUCK FAT FRIED CHICKEN. I dont know what kind of voodoo magic they are working in the back kitchen, but this dish was the perfect illusion of disguising a delicious, hearty, home-cooked meal in 5-star foodie presentation. Masterfully executed. For dessert, it was the POUND CAKE. This ambitious serving for two put a nice exclamation point on our dining experience. Kudos to Chef Valintinus Domingo and the staff at NOVA. Everyone enjoys good food, but until you experience flavors and textures that turn your dinner conversation into "mmmms", "ooooos", and "Wows", you have not truly had the FOODIE experience.

My wife and I have been wanting to dine here for a while, and we finally pulled the trigger by making reservations for Easter Brunch. Complimentary valet is always a great service, and the guys who handled my car were very friendly and urgent. When checking in, the gentlemen ahead of us was almost an hour ahead of his reservation time, and upset that they didnt have outside seating available. The hostess never once mentioned how early he was, but did try her best to accommodate his patio request that was not noted on the reservation. After seating him inside, a manager moved them outside after he continued to complain. I only share this story because I was impressed by the way the hostess and the manager both handled this upset guest who doesnt know how to make a proper reservation, or respect that other people do. During all of the he was treated with respect and a smile. After witnessing all of this we were seated promptly outside (like I requested on my reservation) to a nice view of the lake while we enjoyed an excellent meal with excellent service. They had a special brunch menu for Easter, and I had the low country eggs benedict and my wife had the lobster omelette. Both were absolutely amazing! My benedict had crab cakes that I could tell were hand made and full of delicious crab, and not cheap filler. The homemade biscuits in place of the usual english muffins were a nice change up and were warm and flakey. My wifes omelette had large lobster chucks and the most amazingly creamy goat cheese. We will defiantly be visiting Nova again! Yet another great restaurant in Orlando...

We recently stopped by Nova during their soft opening and were pleasantly surprised! Definitely coming back, and will check out their brunch soon. Complimentary valet was available, which was very convenient on Orange Avenue. I appreciated the well-lit and large signs...you cant miss it! Inside was a very nice trendy/upscale farm-to-table environment. Classy yet casual. They have an impressive wine list and interesting cocktail menu. I ordered a Pinot Noir from Santa Barbara I really enjoyed. For entree I ordered the Puget Sound Salmon, which came with herb roasted purple potatoes with crab shiitake mushroom fricassee. WOW! Seriously delicious. The sauce was a bit watery, but I really enjoyed the flavors. True farm-to-table is a very difficult thing to accomplish. Think about how difficult it is to source local, organic, sustainable ingredients that go in and out of season, and then determine just the right flavors to combine into a dish and still stand out as unique. There are a handful of pricey farm-to-table restaurants in Winter Park and Orlando that are struggling to grasp this art well, but Nova is definitely on the right track. We will be back soon to try brunch when it opens. Looking forward to more unique dishes with amazing flavor.

Went here for brunch on Sunday. The restaurant was not busy. Our waitress was great. We all felt bad for her. The issue came with the kitchen. From the time we sat down to when we got our food was an hour and a half. When the food came it was terribly underwhelming. The portions were tiny and the food was not prepared correctly. Got the Breakfast Bowl with eggs over easy. When I finally got my meal, Im not even sure how the eggs were prepared...maybe you can call it over hard. Sent it back and received the plate back with eggs that could maybe pass as over medium. At that point we were all ready to leave, so I took one for the team and ate it. The taste was decent at best, but even if the eggs were prepared correctly, it would not have impressed. The Huevos Rancheros were bland. We were with a large group of about 8 or so and everyone was underwhelmed and ready to leave by the end. So many other options for brunch in Orlando. Skip this one.

Servizio terribile.

Im not seeing what the hype about this place is. Its compared to Cask & Larder, Prato, Osprey Tavern, and Ravenous Pig, but I feel like its definitely a cut below those. Thats not for trying. Its apparent the chefs here are trying to do a great job, but the entire package just doesnt add up for me. The location is almost impossible to park near since their lot is tiny and there is very little street parking, which is typically already taken for the other dive bars nearby. The food was alright, nothing crazy. I got seared ahi, but it was in a cumin rub, which really did not suit it. I think there is a ton of potential here, but it wasnt hitting on it the only time I went.

Good food great bar awesome bartenders a little pricey but not too bad. My only real sticking point with them is that they have that scratch kitchen formula but Ive never really been too excited about their menu its all really good just something about it honestly I couldnt even tell you I do come here frequently though because it is adjacent to the lake Ivanhoe boat ramp which is totally an awesome spot. Young people everywhere with a volleyball court and a wakeboarding Lane in the water

Went for Sunday brunch. The waitress brought a basket of stale pastry to the table. All of the items on the kids menu were $8. We ordered the waffles, and 3/4 of one waffle arrived with no side, fruit or garnish. I ordered the low country benedict with hash. A small portion came on a huge plate, the biscuit was stale and the hash was half burnt. The atmosphere was pleasant and the waitress was nice, but dont plan on ever going back.
