Please note: at time if this review I am still here in the building and have yet to get my food or even be seen by someone. My wife and I arrived at 6:50 and stood at the front for 15min before someone finally came up to ask for our seating. We wanted to sit outside and were told that it would take about 5-10mins. That was at 7:05p. It is now 7:30p and we were just finally remembered and taken to a table. The hostess did apologize but seriously. With the amount of empty chairs; why did it take so long? Nonetheless, why did no one check in with us to keep us updated. 25 minutes later she shows up to say sorry and rush us to a table that had been open since we walked in. If it wasnt for the fact my wife got a Groupon for your place and we drove a distance to get here. We would have left and never came back! The hostess did get our drinks right away once she sat us but again; it is now 7:43p (13 minutes...SERIOUSLY) and we have seen no signs of a waiter/waitress nor has anyone even approached us. This is by far the worst experience and I can promise we will never return. I will update post when we are "finally" served to update times..... if we are actually seen! It is 7:47p and we finally saw a server and my wife had to flag her down. Instead of being greeted politely we got an attitude about how you have few staff and that she is busy. You might have few staff but how do you miss your new customers nonetheless completely ignore a section???

This restaurant is selling Groupon vouchers and is currently closed. I have suggested that their status states this on Google search. I planned lunch there yesterday (9-7-16 @ 2pm) only to drive out and find that it is closed due to renovations. I spoke to the lady at the desk in the office to let her know customers were going to be disappointed that they were selling Groupon vouchers when they are closed, such as myself. Her exact words were "good let them come." I continued the brief conversation only to find she was even more rude! If you want to support a restaurant that would not care that you traveled and had taken time out of your day hoping to enjoy a great meal when they are closed and do not acknowledge an apology or care to offer an apology.. then go for it. I will not go back or refer them to anyone due to the rudeness and not caring about customers. Customer satisfaction is the root of your business. A simple apology can go a long way, but rudeness will eventually defeat you.

I need another 2 or 3 stars....this place is GREAT!!!!! And, it was rainin like hell when we came so the place wasnt crowded at all but its very big and one can see what capacity would be like. Our server was 5 star on her own!! Highly available for refills and additional orders as well as making casual, welcomed conversation while we visited. Food came quickly, was hot and fresh. My only caveat would be that the kitchen is a little heavy- handed with salt. And I use salt quite a bit. My frog legs were fresh, tender and very flavorful! A little more sear on the non-fried version would be perfect for a slight crisp on the skin. An EXCELLENT place to see, explore or share with someone looking for a quaint but high quality feel for Florida. Remember, this is an RV park owned bar and grill...it would be 10 stars amongst it competiters...a real gem.

Dont let the interesting decor (taxidermy all the way) and crazy menu (no, no road kill served here) deter you from dining at Linger Lodge. The fried green tomatoes were an amazing start to my meal with the perfect amount of corn meal and one of the best remoulades I have ever had. My entree was the server-recommended barbecue chicken which was so tender, moist and flavorful. You have your choice of sides, so definitely go with the mixed veggies to counteract the heavy chicken and the fries were perfectly crispy. Drinks: Not for the faint of heart. The swamp water was not at all what I expected but it was good, despite it being heavy on raspberry liquor. The Long Island Iced Tea was so strong that two of us couldnt even finish it.

We made out first trip to the Linger Lodge on a Friday evening in early January. The place was dead (no pun intended). The food was passable: especially good fried offerings, but nothing to write a review about. The low prices ($1 draft beer) make it hard to complain about being served with styrofoam plates, but since the major appeal of the restaurant is its location, it makes a better lunch spot than dinner. We couldnt see the alligator-infested river or moss-covered spookiness of the place after dark. Of course theres much to see inside if you like looking at a lot dead snakes and an impressive display of exceptionally bad taxidermy.

One of a kind. Licence plates from every state. Uniform patches of firemen ,police, service men. Taxidermist prepared wild life from squirrels, birds, fish, snakes alligators and more. Screened porch dining faces river. Watch birds & squirrels. Dont get too close to water... alligators! Great food. Could be a bit hard to find. Looks run down from parking lot. Very old RV park, picnic table @ each site. Lots of trees, squirrels, birds. Not the RV park with only a concrete pad between coaches! But we have heard it is destined for demolition everyone will need to relocate) and a complete renovation.

I always give a restaurant at least two chances. Anyone can have an off day. The only reason you will want to go to this location is for the old Florida ambience. The service is horrible and the food is not much better. All of the sides are canned and nothing is homemade. My girlfriend ordered ribs and they were the same kind of ribs you can buy any Publix that are pre-cooked and just heated on site. Quite honestly, this place is an absolute insult to the land and culture around it. If there was a way to give less than one star, I would.

My friends 59 Birthday and out of all of the great places to eat I chose Linger Lodge! 9 people, we made reservations and how disappointing it was, terrible service, terrible food, had to go to the bar for our drinks, cold fries, cold vegetables. Our server, never knew her name, was also the management, which was almost funny considering. As a native Floridian who knows the history of Linger Lodge and the previous quality, all I can say is never again to eat, invite or recommend. Worse part was no one cared!

My family and I love this place! Best piece of the old Florida in Bradenton. Their menu is fun to read so I wont spoil it for you. Their wait staff is probably the most pleasant, respectful, kind, personable, and most importantly very attentive! Gluten free friendly, their gf choices are all great. The taxidermy is pretty good and represents just about anything youd see outdoors. That stuff is great for little kids imaginations, eye candy everywhere. I cant say enough good things about this place. :)

How can a person review one of the weirdest restaurants in the country? Well, make sure you take time to meander around the restaurant to admire the stuffed (taxidermy) animals and "critters" of which there are many. There are snakes, gators, roadkill, and many more. Its like Florida cracker meets Ripleys Believe it or NOT! Oh, the food is great too. Pretty much standard Florida fare, and a full bar. What else do you need?
