I want to love this place, but they make it hard to do that. We live nearby, and we used to go there very often. The atmosphere is fun, and the food is mostly good. The quality of the meat is better than at many other restaurants. Its obvious that EVERYONE there has a script, and they insist on saying it exactly the same way every time. Even the person seating you asks, "have you been here before?" the same way with the same responses every time. While thats not so bad, this script includes up-sells (loaded baked potato vs. just butter, marshmallows on the sweet potato, grilled onions on the steak, etc.) I really just want to order my food without having to decline 20 things I dont want. Ive been here before as I told the person seating us, so Im very familiar with the options, thank you. Just ordering your food feels like an interrogation. The staff wears shirts which say "I love my job." The seemingly high turnover there (probably due to the obnoxious script and enforcement of such above) would indicate otherwise. The staff there is mostly young, and some of them could use more training. For example, the last time we were there, one person was bussing the booth behind me and my wife, and he was literally throwing the cups and dishes into the bus tray on the seat behind us which was very loud and causing the liquid to splash all over the place. The alcoholic drinks are pretty weak unless you spend more money for a "kicker." This will make the drink about as strong as a regular drink somewhere else making the price not really worth it. If youre a water drinker, its pretty rare that anyone will notice that your water glass is empty. Youll probably need to ask for more water. Lastly, the quality of the ingredients seems good, but the preparation of the food isnt very consistent. Sometimes the salads have a LOT of dressing, while other times they have almost none. The salads are occasionally missing ingredients. The chili is often served only warm. The steaks have about a 70% chance of being cooked how you ordered them. Sometimes your salads will take longer to arrive than the meals of other people who were seated at the same time as you. Other times youll be two bites into your salads which just arrived, and then your meal arrives. As Forrest Gump said, "life is like a box of chocolates..." So this place would be fantastic if they, 1. got rid of the script (seriously, its annoying), 2. trained and retained their staff, 3. mixed the drinks a bit stronger, and 4. (most importantly) fixed the consistency issues with the food. We REALLY want to love this place, but these issues make it challenging. I will say that, when things go way off the rails, the management there does try to help by comping some of the meal. Thanks for that. While we dont go as often as we did (for the reasons mentioned here), we continue to try it occasionally to see if things have improved. They havent yet, but we remain hopeful.

An employee at Texas Roadhouse in Bradenton, Florida needed to get through a crowd by the front of the restaurant during his shift. After several minutes of being patient waiting for them to move, he finally said, "Excuse me I need to get by so I can continue my job." One of the customers, who was twice his age, began to act intimidating and threatening to the 16 year old. Alan, the manager, was extremely nonsupportive and disrespectful to his employee who was only trying to do his job.The young man, who realized he would not be able to continue working at a place where his manager wouldnt care that he was being physically threatened, said, "Youve been a great boss," shook his hand and said "I quit." Alans subsequent remarks were of a threatening nature and completely out of line. I applaud and admire this young man. His work ethic, respect for his manager, and his own self-respect will hopefully get him far in life.

Sad to post this review, We go to this RoadHouse about twice a month. It is always fantastic and service is always outstanding, However, Im shocked about this time. Food was wonderful as always and service was fair. My bill was $82, I paid with a credit card and left $14 tip in cash with the check. CJ, my server, adds another $12 to my credit card bill to give herself a $26 tip. After calling them and talking to Alan, the manager, He said he will remove the credit card tip, and offered a free Appetizer on my next visit. Catch an employee in credit card fraud and well give you a free App next time? really? I will dine at other restaurants or different RoadHouse locations before I use my credit card there again. Note worthy to check your statement if you have had CJ wait on you, or Alan allowing this to happen. Very poor Management to allow theft from customers.

Food is very good for the price. Ive eaten here several times. Weve had steak, chicken, burgers and ribs, all were increadible. However, I agree with some of the other reviews, this is one of the noisiest places ever. Were headed there today right when they open to have lunch. Hoping to catch it when they are not busy so we can relax,a enjoy the food, and actually hear each other talk. When we weigh the noisy, crowded atmosphere against how bad we would like a good steak, the noise usually wins out and we go somewhere else which is a shame because its a really great place with amazing food. Love that you can get a loaded sweet potato with marshmallows and caramel sauce - its like having dessert.

Got seated right away but quickly went downhill from there. Took the waitress 15 mins to bring our drink order. Blooming orchid was less than appetizing, it was fried with too much batter and was all clumped together that when you pull it apart it is bare onions. Main course came, asked for mashed potatoes for the side instead of rice ...my dinner came with rice and no mashed potatoes. Filet was chewy and fries were so salty to even eat. Veggies were good and the bread with cinnamon butter was good, the only reason for the two stars.

I have been here probably a dozen times and experience has always been great with fantastic food. Tonight was different. I was given the wrong steak, over cooked and was told it was the correct steak. When manager "took it off my bill" he only took off a portion of it. I then told the waitress when handing her my credit card and she said OK and charged me the incorrect price still. Im very disappointed mainly in the management for not handling this properly. If you food is wrong, good luck. I will not be back for a LONG TIME.

Good basic food, the better cuts of steak are pretty good. However, the noise level is high due in large part by the too loud music. June 2017 - server insisted I had to get a sidekick w/my drink and we couldnt get mushrooms as a side dish. Both of which are untrue. Aug 2017 - this might be 3 strikes & youre out. We had to wait to put our name in so the hostess could line dance. Ugh. Once again the server said I had to add a kicker to my margarita. If it costs extra I shouldnt be forced to do that.
