Quaint little local eatery with excellent food and modern southern charm to match. This spot has a very unique decor thats very southern. Its laid back and casual for sure. Most of the people in the restaurant had on flip-flops and shorts. The place is clean with wood tables and the windows are garage doors that were all opened up the morning we went. That open feel is fine while youre waiting for your food but the flies come soon after your plates hit the table, so youre swatting your food constantly while you eat, which gets a little annoying while your trying to enjoy good food. Especially true when you have kids and you have to swat their food too. The staff was friendly and helpful with the menu for first timers. The service was good not great. I did wait on water refill and finally had to ask to get my cup refilled. Our food did take a long time to come out after we ordered it. The place was fully packed but it just seemed like we waited 30 mins for our food which was too long for the things we ordered. I think if your food takes longer than 20 mins than somethings wrong with the efficiency of the kitchen. I ordered the French toast that was stuffed with a Grand Marnier Creme cheese. It was excellent. It was almost like a dessert. It really didnt need any syrup but I added some anyway. My dish came with some homemade sausage. It had good flavor but was a little dryer than Id expected. I also had the cheese grits which had really good flavor. We also shared their chicken & spinach folded egg (omlet). it was fine but nothing special. Ive had better omlets before. We also ordered one of the snacks on the menu called the low-country egg-rolls with pulled port, collard greens & mustard bbq sauce. It was good with the mustard-based dipping sauce being tangy & spicy. Someone at the table suggested it should be served with a sweet & tangy/spice sauce instead. My kids had pancakes with homemade sausage patties and bacon. They seemed to like every thing they ate so Id say that gets a kids thumbs up. Over all Id give the dinning experience an 8/10. I have only minor cons that would be the decor of having garage doors for windows that were all open that invited flies in the restaurant while youre eating. Also our wait for our food after we ordered was too long. Other than that, Id say go and enjoy good food.

Mt Pleasant - We were so excited that our favorite brunch place had come to Mt P. We sat at the bar for dinner on 6-17-11. The waitress came by and told us she would be right back to take our order 3 times. As we watched her get frustrated with the computer she started yelling for the male bartender. He was standing beside us yucking it up and I told him that the other bartender was really trying to get his attention. He told me - the customer - to tell her he was busy! We continued on and they brought my buddy a beer in a cracked glass. We pointed it out to them and the male bartender put the glass on top of the recycling bin. The female bartender took the glass off of the recycling bin and put it in the dish washer. The whole time that this is going on my other buddy has asked for a beer 4 times, even joking with the female bartender about it. The male bartender comes back with my buddys replacement beer for the cracked glass and he charges him for the new beer! I have lived here for 5 years and never had such bad service. Needless to say, I wont even bother giving them a second chance.

We have been to Sunday Brunch twice over the last month. The staff was friendly and we did not have trouble getting a table during either of the two visits (we came right at the 11am opening time both times). The first time we went the food was decent (I had a frittata) but somewhat lacking in flavor. I found a long hair in my fruit salad near the end of the meal. On the second visit, we were served coffee with a lot of coffee grounds floating on top. The server brewed new coffee and we eventually got new cups (no offer to remove them from the bill). We were given spotty silverware and wet appetizer plates. I wasnt entirely disappointed until I found about a 1 inch chicken bone in the first bite of the chicken omelette. Another person in our party found cartilage, skin and bone in his chicken. The food was ok, but not outstanding. Due to the number of little disappointments, I dont think I will return there.

Sat. April 1, 2017 @ 11:50 Bartender lacked awareness of me for at least 15 minutes. Not because of a busy Saturday. Ive worked food and beverage, I understand this. I was patient and she eventually approached me. I gave a 20 for drinks she claimed to be 7:50. Returned with a 10.00. I asked for correct change and she returned with .50 cents. Im not sure she knows how to make change. In any event, I told her to forget about it. In any event, I dont go to the triangle bar and grill often. I thought Id check it out for the awesome patio. Im just disappointed with the urgency at a not that busy bar being neglectful of my presence and not caring about me not getting correct change. Maybe she had a bad night, I dont really know. But her service was not good. I dont feel welcome in this establishment. I wont return.

Ordered the special: $9 Shrimp Fried Rice. The waitress hesitantly put it on the table. The portion was small. I knew immediately it would not fill me. It was not fried and tasted like boxed rice from the store. It was also overcooked and soggy. I was disgusted by it so I could not finish it. A server came by and asked if I wanted hot sauce, she said that she had tasted it earlier and felt it needed it. I guess she also thought it was sub par. I was disapointed that I wasted $9. When the check came it was actually $10; the waitress was misinformed I guess. I finished the meal by running to Chick-Fil-A to get the taste out of my mouth and fill my stomach. I may have had a better experience if I had ordered a burger. They looked good and filling at least.

You cant beat the prices here. We are full with a $42.00 bill and that includes the tip. $7 carafe of mimosas and we watched the server make the carafe. You are basically getting a bottle of champagne with a little flavor of orange juice. The open scene is nice even during the hottest month of the year. The waiters are great. The hostesses at the door could use some work. The "huevos rancheros" was delicious. The kids menu plate was large, both of mine shared one plate. It is a kid friendly place. The crabcakes benedict is a favorite of ours. Overall it is a great brunch place!

First there is no parking. Secondly, no one acknowledged us for about ten minutes. About 5 different servers went by back and forth until I alerted the hostess that no one was serving us. If the restaurant had been busy I totally would have understood but there were only 4 people at the bar and 10 tables in the dining room were empty. As always I didnt blame the servers but more of a management lack of care. This establishment had been here quite awhile and as a local to Charleston the quality has gone down hill tremendously.
