Part of me wants to give the joint 5 stars and part of me wants to stick it to em with one. Drove over and placed a to-go order on my lunch break today. Beardy guy behind the bar was patient and helpful, said itd be 15 minutes. Guess I expected itd be a bit quicker, since it wasnt busy and Id only ordered 1 burger cooked medium. I definitely let my 20 min metered parking expire waiting and was super relieved not to have a ticket. Pretty sure my food was ready and waiting a few minutes before anyone went to check on it, and it was also cooked to a uniform and disappointing medium-well. A $10 lunch deal is a great idea, but Ill agree with other reviewers: the portions are a bit small. This is America and my belly is a proud American, dammit! Id have to laugh if I paid full price for the same burger and order of fries at dinner. All that said, the burger was damn delicious. so IF you go and IF waiting on an order wont cost you a parking ticket or your job and IF youre hungry but not starving, try the Jam, its really wonderful.

Great burgers, but they have become over priced with a mostly lackluster staff. They used to have a great lunch special for $10, but now its much more. While the special comes with a drink, apparently that does not include refills because I didnt get one and never got the attention of the wait staff once I ran out. While the burgers are incredible, skip the Charleston Philly with pork, it tasted like nothing more than reheated microwaved pork with low quality overly mayonnaised pimento cheese, and collards. I always felt like this place would do well but they are on the verge of pricing themselves out of the area lunch market. Id say skip this place unless you are meeting some friends there anyway. I ate here regularly but I think, at least for now, its off my rotation. A very telling sign is when you are in a place like this at 12:15pm and you are the only table there yet still cant get any service.....

My husband and I were regulars until last night. I asked the waitress if there was any kind of sauce I could substitute for bbq, preferably something spicy like siracha. She said they cant do any substitutions. The place was empty and the waitress spent the next hour leaning on the counter. Obviously too proud of their bbq sauce and too lazy to let me have siracha instead. I posted this bad review on Facebook while at the restaurant still. The "executive chef" Shay MacDonald took so much offense to me giving a bad review that he proceeded to private message me harassing me for the bad review and wanting a sauce substitution on a burger. Please do not bring this man your business.

I have tried twice to make a reservation at this restaurant, however, apparently there is only one person in the entire business that is allowed to take a reservation. I was planning to bring a party of 10 first time guests but I am already turned off to this establishment and will be taking my group elsewhere. This would is a group mid 30s guys for a bachelors party and would have spent a lot of money, thankfully there are many other choices on upper King St. I was forced to fill out the ratings for food and decor but I have not entered this restaurant, so I do not know if the food is good or not.

Unfortunately we went to HoM around noon on a Sunday expecting the lunch menu and got brunch instead (with no option to order off the lunch menu). With the exception of my husband, who ordered the breakfast bowl, the remaining four of us were underwhelmed and unimpressed. Maybe this restaurant is great at other times of the day, but their brunch menu sucks. There are a ton of other options in town that I would recommend. Even worse this was the one meal I chose to entertain a relative that was visiting (and I was meeting) for the first time. ☹️ Still, two weeks later, I am super disappointed.

Great little pub, specialty Burger joint. Not too pricey but not cheap either. They made great burgers for my family. Cost about $9.50 for just Burger, then add $4 fry order. The beer there is not cheap. $5.50 for a Stella is not a great price at all. Love the ping pong tables in the back...a great little touch. My two boys stayed on those till we got food. Staff seemed friendly, but not the best trained wait staff either. I like the idea of bringing me water in chilled, reused wine bottles, but water was not the slightest bit cold. Would recommend. The squid..excellent. try some.

We got to relax after a wedding at this incredible southern burger joint. We ordered appetizers and drinks and both were excellent. Just the kind of down-home comfort food youd want to end the night if youre anything like me. Their iced tea was cold and refreshing and the flat bread was crisp and the toppings were delicious. Their twist on tater tots were delicious. My wife had their chicken sandwich and that looks amazing. She said it was tasty. Id go again for a full meal. Maybe to play some ping pong at their ping pong table, or a board game they have available for patrons.

Wow. Another great night at HoM! We started the meal off with flash fried pickles. Crispy on the outside, juicy pickles on the inside. Then a light summer salad with tomatoes, spring greens, goat cheese, basil dressing and balsamic reduction. Seriously, you cannot get any better. However, if you make it there when they have the arugula salad with pears and soy dressing-its a MUST. My burger choice: Big Mac N Cheese burger. Think mac n cheese inside of a burger, bacon crumbl with gouda on top and bottom in between a toasted bun. AMAZING. I have never had a bad meal here.

We were in town for a wedding and wanted to try a place close to our hotel (Holiday Inn) so we went with this place. The food was amazing.. they have awesome burgers and fries. The calamari was great. The drinks were phenomenal. I had a Moscow mule, and my friends tried the spicy margarita. The service was great, there was no wait to be seated, and our server was helpful. The only thing that stopped me from giving it five stars is that it was a little pricey, especially their drinks.

It was so loud couldnt even hear the person sitting right beside me. The burger was the worst burger I have ever had. It was dry and no flavor other than burnt. Our waitress spent the whole time chitchatting in the doorway and didnt even check back with us till we were ready to go. Another waitress had to bring us more waters. Only good thing about this place was it was walking distance to our room.

The food was fabulous!!!! Service left much to be desired. Even though they were not busy, it was hard to get assistance. Seated us with no silverware. Food arrived and no silverware. Tea glass went empty without the offer of refill. Vanessa was the server and the tip reflected the service she provided. Seemed more interested in talking with other patrons than working.

If you are looking for a burger, a drink, a little ping pong (table tennis), this is the place for you. Different styles of burgers, vegetarian burger options, beer, drinks and ping pong in the back. We were visiting in the heat and humidity of August. We thought this would be a good place to escape the elements and enjoy a meal and have a little fun. It was perfect!
