A few weeks ago I called into Crosta and ordered a single pepperoni pizza. After arriving about 30-40 mins they brought me out a sausage pie. The (blonde hair older) lady I order over the phone told me she was certain that is what I told her. I again reconfirmed no I didnt I ordered pepperoni. About 15 mins later a gentlemen came out and brought me the correct pizza and told me to just keep the sausage one and hoped that I would give them another chance. Well today on 7 July I called in a Pepperoni Pizza. The first thing the lady (same lady, older that I ordered from last time) said was we are really busy with reservations how about you call back in 45 mins and it may take an hour to get your pizza. Never have I ever had someone try and talk me out of giving them my business but I told her I prefer to order now and she stated it would be an hour wait and again suggested calling back in 45 mins when the tables cleared. I told her if I waited hour and I still had an hour wait it would be 2 hours. She took my order and then my cell and told me if things changed shed call me. 1 hour and 2 mins after hanging up I walked in and of course I look into the oven which is completely empty figuring my pizza is ready to go!!! I go up and they ask me to wait a few minutes as they were doing something with the register and that they tried calling me but my # didnt work (LOL why lie?) As Im sitting at the bar I can see my pizza being made and put into the oven. 12 mins later I have my pizza. This was not the end of my bad experience. When I took the pizza to meet up with my date we noticed they changed the type of pepperoni that they use. It use to be some amazing stuff that was all over. Now it looks and taste like those cheep logs of meat you get for the holidays at one of those kiosk at the mall. I gave this place a full 5 last year when I first went on TA. The customer service Ive received the past 2 times and the change to the cheaper ingredients is why Im giving them a 1. Honestly it would be a ZERO if google allowed it.

I normally dont write reviews but seeing some of the negativity and inaccuracy of two 1 star reviews I feel I have to correct them. Crosta is quality top to bottom and it comes through in the food and drinks. Just look around when you walk in, ingredients displayed proudly on the wall with a huge wood burning pizza oven. You can sit at a table or right next to the the chefs and watch them make everything right in front of you. Order a coke it comes in a glass bottle made with real sugar. Pizza is made fresh and has a great balance of toppings (Im absolutely in love with their sausage pie). Crostas focus on quality makes dining there a special experience, it is not "just another pizza place".

Abbey Road

The food tasted okay. Its definitely not the "best pizza in Beaufort." The place is small (24 seats including the bar) and people left before being greeted by the hostess due to the lack of seating. The pizzas listed on the menu are over elaborate and provide a limited selection. They also dont list any extra ingredients you can add to your pizza, like pepperoni. They dont serve iced tea; sweet or unsweet. Drinks are over priced ($3.00 for a coke).

Resturants is small but very nice. Staff was all super friendly. food and drinks are a little over priced (55 for 2 pepperoni and a white pizza) but was very good. they only offer 1 size of pizzas. I would go back for a date night with the hubs but not so much the whole family because of the price.

We had the daily house and sausage pie. Both were very good. Service is excellent and the ambience is great. My only suggestion would be to get soda and beer on tap, but they just opened so no points are lost for that (and it adds to the ambience).

This has rapidly become an easy answer to the "what do you want for dinner tonight" question. The food is always top notch, the staff nice and helpful. The space is tight and Spartan. As my wife noted, "I see expansion in their future..."

If you have ever been to Naples Italy .This is a touch of Southern Italy the way piazza is made in a brick oven . Outstanding . There menu has a variety to the fares served. A touch of Southern Italy in the Low Country.

The owner is here full time so the menu has expanded, lamb and two different pastas plus all the usual great stuff. If you have not tried it yet come by soon. I recommend sitting at the bar to watch them cook.

Gone downhill fast. Pizza used to be thin, crispy, tender fresh and tasty. Now thick, bready, tough and tasteless. Dreadful. Too bad since they had a good thing going. The pie was also dying for salt.
