My wife and I had the most horrible experience today at Perkins in Wilkes-Barre. We got seated quickly, but NO ONE CAME to our table to greet us, nor to ask us what we wanted to drink. Yet other people who came in after us, got attention from waitresses before us. Now I dont want to think that the reason why this happened was because we were the only Hispanics there at the time. If it wasnt because I got up to get someones attention, we probably would have never gotten any service. Also, once we finally got our drinks, 20 minutes later, we didnt get our food for another hour, though we ordered the food and drinks at the same time. Besides that, my pancakes were cold, the syrups were not labeled, I ended up with some kind of fruity syrup, instead of Maple syrup. My wifes toast were cold. The omelette I ordered was so-so. The only good thing to come out of this experience, we didnt have to pay for our food. Although I insisted in paying, because thats how I was raised, they wouldnt give us the check. So beware of Perkins restaurant in Wilkes-Barre, PA. We will never go there again.

Very, very slow service and they were not busy. After 50 minutes of watching others get their food we decided to leave. At one point it seemed like everyone(staff) disappeared. During our wait time we were treated to what could only be described as a disgruntled worker literally "slamming" dirty dishes into the collection bin right next to our booth. One time, something slipped. Two times, someone is not happy. Three times you smash the dishes in my ear, you are just severely upset and dont belong near the customers. Manager didnt seem to care about much. Our waitress tried to offer some type of discount as we were getting up to leave. Ill put this on my list with "Dennys", of places not to visit while in Wilkes-Barre.

The food was okay, tots were half burned, but it was all edible... the service however blew!! My server ( who wore WAY to much make up for one... freaked me out... though she might be one of those killer clowns) didnt pay attention to me at all, everyone she talked to me it was from across the room yelling at me. I finished my water before my food came, and didnt even get offered another drink the whole time I was here... and I barely got to finish my food before rushed the check. Smh... never again... I guess coming in as a single person makes me unimportant, to bad for her when I am alone and they do their job, I usually tip $6 or 50%.... whichever is higher... Nothing for her today!

over 30 minutes after order was taken others arrived and received their food we still waited... never again will I come to this perkins and I live in this town, only bright side was when I went to pay for our coffee the manager only said forget it its on the house.. wow ..nothing like ill look into it, stay away..stay far away form this perkins.. not worth the wait, even if it means free coffee.... a week later my wife convinced me to return and try them again after emailing the managers.... they must have talked with the servers and managers since it was like a completely different restaurant. service was excellent food good , and the strange thing is it was busier today than last week

While traveling to the Northeast we stopped here for lunch on 12/30/2013. The place was not crowded and there were several staff members so I dont understand why the service was so slow. The waitress was curt but efficient but it took over 30 minutes to get 2 sandwiches made. 3 gentlemen at another table waited so long they were walking out when their food was delivered. Others were complaining as well. Have to say, if this is the way Perkins is now (we used to go regularly when we lived in the NE) then we will not be stopping again. Last note, this is the first time in 20+ years I have left less than a 15% tip regardless of the service.

Used to go to Perkins frequently for potato pancakes. Within the last year the recipe seems to have changed and now they are mostly flour and are thick and tasteless. Lunch and dinner items are generally OK. Service at this location is hit or miss as they can be very slow, even when they are not busy. Several times Ive needed to ask the hostess if Id been forgotten after 15 minutes of no waitress. Convenient location, but I have to be in a relaxed mood to go there.

Absolutely horrible service. Ordered the same thing I always do. Turkey dinner... its suppose to come with mashed potatoes, stuffing, & Turkey over bread. First off they toasted the bread, then they didnt put stuffing on the plate. I never got a refill on my water. My friends biscuits where dry, his hash browns where burnt. Once again he received no refill on his lemonade.... I use to love coming here, now never again!!!!

Food is okay. In my pictures is a pulled chicken bbq sandwich with fries; it was tasty. Service is okay. Breakfast on Sundays is normally very busy and service from the kitchen suffers as a result, not the servers fault. Three egg omlettes are good, pancakes are good, bacon is okay. Like that they leave a small urnnof coffee so that you can serve yourself instead of waiting for some one to fill your cup.

We stayed the night at the Comfort Inn & Suites and walked over 20 minutes before they closed. We figured wed just get an order to go, we were told we could order anything on the menu and since we were staying at the hotel we got a 10% discount. They were so friendly and the food was delicious!!! Unfortunately I was so hungry that I forgot to take photos of our food first. I highly recommend this place.

Fast service for the most part. I was seated quickly and asked for my beverage/meal. The coffee tastes good not burnt which happens to me at other places. I ordered a biscuit breakfast and it looked good and tasted great! I would recommend coming here because there is alot to choose from on the menu. And their the first place Ive been too that has waffles as a breakfast option.

This place is THE WORST. I went here once and there was a hair in my food. They remade my meal and managed to burn my toast and eggs, but at that point I was done. I decided to come back a second time and there was ANOTHER hair in my food. There was no way it was mine because it was cooked into the middle of my food. Do they not care?

Positives and negatives. Customer service is impeccable and the food presentation and taste was delightful. The negative was the coffee. Im sorry but it was absolutely dreadful. I love my coffee. Ive tried many kinds but this most certainly doesnt pass the test. Hopefully they switch it up.

Hostess cant make eye contact. Waitress nice but overworked. Food below average when you finally get it. Cashiers on the way out ignore you at first then try to sell you their bakery items to build up your check. Oh and the place was Freezing in the summertime. Go elsewhere!!
