Today I met a business colleague at Market Street Grill and I was extremely dissatisfied. There was a New sign on the door that there would be a $1.50 charge per person for bringing in coffee. I had a cup of starbucks with me, which I got around 6:30am (Market st doesnt open until 7) and I asked the blond waitress why they would charge me for bringing in coffee based on the situation. She was extremely rude and said "If you dont like being charged for bringing in coffee you dont need to come here. If you had a business that charged people for food and coffee and people brought in their own coffee you would know what Im talking about." Im disappointed and taken back by this poor treatment as a customer and although I like the food and environment Im going to choose a different location for breakfast in the future. " There is only one boss - The customer, and they can fire everyone from the CEO on down by simply spending their money someplace else"

I discovered Market St Grill last year and havent found anything better. Breakfast is my favorite meal of the day and MSG has the most diverse and original menu available. They also update their Blackboard Menu regularly. One of the most delicious omelets Ive ever had was a Blackboard item: Roast pork tenderloin omlete with spinach, onions, american chesse, topped with chipolte ranch! The staff is friendly, the atmosphere is very personable... its everything you need in a breakfast dinning experience. Do it! -Sean

Decent for a big-breakfast experience, with fast paced friendly service on a Saturday morning. Basically a busy community diner atmosphere, not a cuisine-focused place. The main nominative is the menu has some creatively designed egg Benny combinations. Expect to wait if you go on a weekend morning after 9am. No gluten-free options if you want a sub for toast/bread/wrap. Not local or organic/sustainable or craft-focused. But then $9 wouldnt buy a huge plate of food there.

I have been eating breakfast here a few times a week for a couple of years now. It is hands down the best place to go! Everything on the menu is good, and they always have new amazing daily specials too. The resteraunt is full of beautiful art, and is spotless. Both the kitchen, and the front end staff are always polite and provide great service. I know it sounds like I am making it sound to good to be true, I am certain when you try it you will agree. During the months when the West Chester growers market is sticking fresh vegetables, this is our Saturday favorite. Food is a clear step above your typical diner with innovative specials and good quality ingredients. It can be busy but service moves very quickly. Coffee is also strong and flavorful. The menu includes the best local version of creamed chipped beef that I have ever had.

BEST CHIPPED BEEF GRAVY!!!!! Stopped here on our way out of philly, my wife absolutely loved the chipped beef. I had a Tuscany Omelet that had bruschetta, roasted red peppers, and prosciutto. Ive never seen that on any menu and it was delicious. Staff was excellent, place was very busy and we were seated and had coffee in less than 15min. A MUST STOP!!!!!

Today for Dining Out for Life I went to Market Street Grill. The place was packed with lunch DOL diners. There was a good vibe in the air. MSG is filled with nice happy people. I had the blackened chicken corn soup. YUM!! The owner opened a new place, at 150 Pennsylvania Ave in Downingtown. Not sure why it is called Green Street Grill.

If they were open later, we would eat here more often. You cannot beat MSG for breakfast in the area. They will make off menu items, such as a breakfast sandwich, but their many specials and eggs Benedict variations are delicious. The Izzy Benny is my personal favorite: Eggs Benedict over a bacon tomato grilled cheese on sourdough.

Market Street Grill is a great stop for an delicious breakfast. Their everyday menu has a great selection of typically breakfast items as well as some things that are unique. The best thing is their specials! Today I had french toast with carmalized bananas, blackberries, pecans and ricotta!! I ate the entire HUGE plate!!

Honestly Im not sure why this is rated so high! I went there and its average at best. I got french toast with strawberries and cream cheese. I received thin French toast with strawberries in a syrup and blocks of cream cheese lumped on. I wish I had a photo because it was not impressive at all.

My wife and I enjoy going here for breakfast/brunch. They have some traditional options, as well as some unique menu features, all for a reasonable price. The food is great, and the service is good, overall. The place does get a bit crowded on weekends, however.

Great service. Its a long wait sometimes though. I got a breakfast burrito with eggs, hashbrowns, cheddar, and andouille sausage gravy. It was really good! A nice bit of sausage and a touch of spice in the gravy. Very filling.

We like Market Street Grill. It is not the BEST diner food Ive ever had, but its decent, its well priced, and it has the best location. Theres usually a line (not terrible) on weekend mornings. Service is brisk and pleasant.

Incredible food. Large portions. Always try the specials - as they are very different. They are known for their egg benedict variations. Try the Main Line - corn bread, asparagus, poached eggs - etc. Spectacular.

Food and people are great. Coffee is terrible, weak. They have a "dark roast" option, also weak. The DK DINER nearby has excellent coffee. We rarely go to MSG anymore because of the coffee.

I love it here! The food is delicious and so cheap!! My favorite breakfast place in town! It gets very crowded so there may be a wait, but it is worth it. Service is good

Small, but they seem to move patrons through quickly and weve never had to wait. Great selection of favorite brunch/breakfast fare, plus some unique twists.

My favorite item on the menu is Darlas gravy and biscuits. Its not your usual gravy. Its made with chorizo sausage which packs a lot of flavor and punch.

A lot of variety on the menu. Cool brunch place. Tried the Egg Benedict with corn bread ... one of the very few places with freshly baked corn bread.

Just got charged $8.50 for turkey and bacon egg whites on white toast. If I had asked for cheese I may have needed to get the bank involved

Wow this is the place for Americana breakfast. Try the eggs Benedict, but with brisket instead of ham. OMG amazing!
