My challenge for the owners of Athena- go over and try the pizza at Peppermill and ask yourself how your product compares. Maybe you set your prices based on your competition, but you charge a steep $17 per pie for a far inferior product. I ordered delivery for a ham and pineapple pizza and a wild buffalo chicken pizza with a side of ranch dressing (which they forgot). The ham and pineapple reminds me of the pizza that I used to get for $8 dollars at a gas station up in the mountains - undercooked with too much cheese, I love cheese but when you cant pick up a slice without loosing the entire top of cheese and toppings something is wrong. Buffalo was alright. My main concern is that these two pizzas cost $39 dollars, plus a tip. And it cost you how much to make it? Up charge your pizza because it tastes good and because its the best in the area, not because your pizza is mediocre and the area is wealthy.

This recently changed ownership. We used to enjoy a weekly dinner at Athena with my family and my mother-in-law. We knew that we would always receive good, personal service, and quality, fresh food. We have visited at least 3 times since the new owners took over, and have left disappointed each time. We have "usual" dishes we always used to order: baked ziti, Cheese fries (with shredded cheese, not cheese sauce), wings, cheesesteaks... When we had these items our first time under new ownership, they were NOT good, so we figured wed try something new. We have not enjoyed any meal, other than our sons small cheese pizza - all of the three times weve eaten there since the change in ownership. We are disappointed and will be looking for a new restaurant.

Ordered a meal from them. They called me an hour later to tell me they didnt start my meal yet, and it would take another hour to get my food. Then when I got it it was the wrong order. I waited 2 hours and they couldnt even get my order right. Its a shame because I used to really enjoy there food. Called them, naturally annoyed because it was 10:15 and I had just gotten the wrong order I had ordered at 8. Got some lame excuse about their internet being down. I will not be ordering from here again, and I would suggest you look to some of the more friendly and intelligent pizzerias in the area.

I had a Chicken parm platter and the waitress said spaghetti was included and I also get two sides. Wow I said, this is my kinda place. I then asked for my salad that was one of my sides to come out before the platter. It took 25 minutes to receive my salad which was so, so and the she immediately brought the platter. Felt hurried and unappreciated as a customer. Then I was over charged by double the price of the platter because the pasta was not included. Very rude and uncompromising to their mistakes. And the food was not all that.

We placed our order tonight through GrubHub and parts of the order arrived incorrectly. I am not sure if the mix-up occurred on Athena or GrubHubs side but when I called Athenas to explain they apologized and made it right. The gentleman said they will be back out with the correct items, prepared as requested. I appreciate his willingness to apologize and to correct the order. The food is OUTSTANDING. They just earned a repeat customer.

The experience is never consistent. Sometimes its very good, other times its certainly lacking. If it wasnt for their food, I wouldnt go back. As an example, I ordered a cheeseburger hoagie today. I pick it up, get back to work, and open the bag to find simply a cheeseburger. Dont get me wrong, I like their cheeseburgers. What I dont like is getting charged an extra $2 for a cheeseburger hoagie when all I got was a cheeseburger.

We have placed a very large number of orders from Athena this month, in order to provide lunch for training sessions held a couple times a week at my work. Everyone at Athena has been super helpful with our orders and delivery has been on-time or early! Our trainings with lunch provided have gotten us rave reviews, and people loved the garden salads, jalapeno poppers, and a big thumbs up for the pizza with Canadian bacon.

Ive been here a bunch of times, pretty ok food in general but dont go here for Pizza. Go here for Stromboli. Namely Buffalo Chicken Stromboli. Seriously this place could be called Athena Buffalo Chicken Stromboli, and it would increase in popularity 15 fold. One of the best dishes Ive had in Philadelphia, anywhere. Perfect mix of flavors, in a 7 dollar dish.

Went here almost every day of my pregnancy and I loved it (so did my daughter). Ive been hanging out here with good friends for decades, normally on a Friday or Saturday night and enjoy having a great cheesesteak with staff that are attentive and know when to just allow the conversations to flow.

Veggie Pizza was disgusting. The toppings were falling off the pie. It was too salty and had no other flavor. It was the worst pizza I have ever tasted. We had tried french fries before and they were also very bad. We did a take out so no comment about service or atmosphere.

Delicious! The best pizza in West Chester. My family only orders from here. The mushroom pizza is amazing. Try the greek salad with chicken- the feta on it is the best feta I have every had. No frills kind of place but I like that because the food is what matters anyway.

Great all around! Been going here for nearly 2 decades. Quality service since & every time. Excellent friendly staff makes the eat-in experience a much easier going time. Seat yourself and bring your appetite, because Athenas has MUCH to offer on their extensive menu.

I ordered a slice of pizza, and the gentleman at the front desk told me to go pick out a drink, fountain or bottled (implying that it came what I had ordered), but I was charged. 2$ isnt a big deal, but felt a little odd and rushed. Still five stars for the pizza.

Food is ok. Nothing spectacular. Delivery service is horrible. We live about a mile and a half from restaurant. Rarely is food delivered within time frame and has been delivered cold. If football is on dont even try to order.

My wife and I really love the Greek salads at Athena. We sometimes order a gyro with a small Greek salad. Wow! Talk about Good!!! The wait staff is always very accommodating and friendly.
