This is definitely your neighborhood bar type of place. I went in on a weeknight and despite that, there were enough people inside to make it lively. Everybody seemed to know everyone else (Im new in town, however), but I didnt feel like an outsider. There isnt much of a menu, and smoking is allowed inside. Its pretty much exactly what its outside appearance makes you expect it to be.
