The food is amazing the cooks out back do a fantastic job on the grill and the service is on the ball it would be a five star place if it was ran by the people wearing all black but sadly no the powers at be simply wont allow the already great staff to make you happier ex. Music there putting you to sleep halfway into your night sorry bar staff will be reprimanded if they try to make you happy remember at the mutt its about keeping the management happy not the customer. Vodka and cran little to weak dont bother asking for alittle extra its not happening unless you wanna pay for another shot see while all the tenders you order drinks from are highly competent they are under strict orders to measure everyone of their pours wether they are pouring an $8 fifth of Vladimir vodka or goose it doesnt matter oh and if you think you know what is in your drink when you order it think again. Ask for a long island your getting coke and sour mix the powers at be have actually changed the ingredients to a timeless drink(I mean what do you expect from the same guys that forged a former employees disablity check and cashed them so they couldnt get the money) do not be discouraged tho beers and shots cant be tampered and food is always above par so tip well just jeep in the back of your mind that when you sign that tab the money you just had fun with is going to some of the sleazest business men out there

Me and my family are always looking for new restaurants to try, especially ones that arent big chains, but it seems like were always disappointed in the end... well not this time!!! The Ugly Mutt was an all around great experience! The food was amazing (I recommend the ribs) and the service was top notch! I have 13, 9 and 3 year old boys and all 3 ate all their food (which never happens) and not one had a single complaint about anything (which also never happens). The atmosphere is not so loud that you cant talk but not so quiet that I feel like my kids are the loudest in the place. It was an all around great time! We will definitely be going back! P.S. I dont usually tip 20% especially since at most places the service is far less than great but our waitress, I believe her name was stephani, was extremely friendly, on top of everything and she made my family feel like regulars!! she deserved every penny!!!!! I would recommend this place to my friends and family!!

$29.13 ($34.00 w/tip) for 2 Hamburgers is INSANE! Now I have to figure out who is more nuts! Me for paying that much or the owners for charging that much! This is Oxford NOT the Main Line for crying out loud! Next time, next place, we will walk out! $17.00 for lunch in a bar in Oxford is crazy insane! Now I know why the place had 3 customers at lunch time - us and 1 other bar customer (liquid lunch)! They had 3 TVs on with no/low volumn & loud music... Yeah, its one of those places. I think the food biz owners in Oxford should bring in Chef Ramsey:-).

Am new to the area, am a friendly, positive person (I grew up in the South). Had some guys working on my house. . . stopped in to buy them some beer a Few Times. Younger female bartenders Extremely rude and very noticeably ignored me. Male patrons stepped in and ordered For me. I was very clean, and well-dressed---and embarrassed. Did not feel good about handing the girl my money. . . and especially not my standard over-tip. Yuck. Have heard the food is good but Ill never know. Couldnt drag me in there. Sad and a shame.

Vastly improved staff service have increased my opinion of the mutt hugely. No longer are visitors treated like cattle or just plain ignored, instead treated like regulars whether its your first time there or the hundredth. Ive going to this bar since it was the claustrophobic country pub through the yellow dog and now the mutt. Staff are top notch and the redesigned area a nice addition. Sound issues remain - expect a noisy bar on Fridays and Saturdays. But its a popular local hangout a class above its nearest rival.

Upon sitting we were informed that my sons lacrosse pinnie was not proper attire, however there were no less than 6 other people in the restaurant wearing tank tops including one women showing a lot of flesh. They had no problem with anyone else. So, other than that initial greeting we received...the food, beer and service were great.

Good selection of beers on draft. Always switching in the seasonal craft specialities and new brews. Bottle beer on ice at all times. Thank You! Now, on the food side..I stay with the safe basics, chicken cheese steaks extra cheese or The Wings. The wings are the "Go-To". Cant go wrong!

Food is just so-so. I dont recommend the burgers as they come on this huge roll type bun. Staff is friendly and curteous. Prices are normal for the area. A fight broke out on my last visit there (between two women..lol) and no one did anything to break it up. My last visit.....

Food was okay.. service was poor. Our waitress was working tables all over the place. It took her 20 minutes to get drinks to us, and when they did come, they were wrong. Skip it! Only gave it 2 stars cause the food was not too bad, if it was better, they would have gotten 3

Great food! Best wings Ive ever had! They use to have pretty bad service, but it seems like things have turned around for the better. Im going to miss this spot when I move. Definitely a must try!
