Absolutely disgusting! I had an edible salad and my husband got the burger melt. I ate half of and it tasted decent, but my daughter said it smelled bad and it really did smell bad. My sons grilled chicken arrived much later and was rancid... the smell was horrible... They said it was the grill smell. I was a restautant manager and it is completely unacceptable food they are serving. We sent that back and are hoping we will escape food poisoning! I love good food and realize that it is hit or miss when traveling, but this was unbelievably bad!

If you are looking for PA Dutch comfort food, look no further. The ultimate offering is a mini meatloaf, wrapped in potato filling, breaded, fried, and served with gravy. I believe they name this the dutch burger, and it is delicious. Quaint atmosphere. Friendly service. Nice menu choices. Banquet facilities available. Outdoor seating and a full bar. A good choice for families as well as date night.

Great food. Big portions. I have had the meatloaf, and the chicken fried steak. The tapioca is good, the pilaf and dried corn are both great, especially mixed together and the staff is really nice. Blundered into the towns Lights and Sirens Firemans parade whil I was there too. Kind of cool to see so many fire trucks go speeding by with lights blazing. Haags is a pokestop too.

The food is mediocre, and the service caters to the locals/friends first....This is marginally hill billy country...they only trust each other, and they all try to rip you off...So watch your wallet, especially with the Indy/Asians that own the hotels around the area. They all believe you are a stupid city slicker, and are rude if you take their remarks the wrong way.

This place was ok. .. Wings were good but had to find the waitress to order more since they were all you can eat. Had to track down the waitress again for drink refills. The fried chicken was so so. .. only 2 prices though. The owner walked around and asked a few people how their meals were but we felt he only asked the locals. .. We kind of felt unwelcome.

This is our "go to" place. The specials are fabulous. The wings are the best in Berks. The staff is super friendly. Ben and Jay are wonderful hosts. We love Mrs Hix and her great stories of the good ole days. Just a superb experience. We feel like we are home at Haags!!!
