Old school Pennsylvania Dutch restaurant serves no nonsense authentic regional food. There were mostly locals when we went. We had the smoked sausages, a meatloaf sandwich, country fried steak, and a ham salad sandwich. The sides included lima beans; macaroni salad; potato filling - - this is the first time Ive ever had this dish - - creamy mashed potatoes with herbs in it; Jell-O salad which consisted of orange Jello with grated carrots in it; and a beet egg, which was a pickled beet and an egg that was pickled in beet juice -- very sweet. My favorite side was the corn fritters. Cream corn in a fritter was very tasty. For dessert we had the raspberry cobbler with milk, which comes warm in a bowl with a side of milk. We added a side of ice cream to that. Definitely a place worth visiting if youre in Lancaster County. Quite the experience.

Our family and friends love to come here for breakfast, lunch, or supper. It is friendly, clean, caring, and has the best home-cooked food around. Yes, we have waited longer than 5 minutes for food, but, never very long. The food comes hot, perfectly prepared, and in good portions. My favorite is the fried oyster dinner - delicious. My husband loves the beefloaf (better than meatloaf). Our friends enjoy the oyster stew or the breaded fried fish dinner. The selection of side dishes is exceptional and varied, but we love the pepper slaw or cole slaw and applesauce the most. Great place to go and relax with neighbors and friends.

GREAT HOME TOWN FOOD. From NFL quarterbacks and TV stars to your local mechanics and truck drivers- This is a your classic small town joint for great food. There is a reason why people such as Mike Rowe (Dirty Jobs) and Nick Foles (Eagles Q.B.) have been patrons of this small restaurant. The food is fantastic and the prices are more than reasonable. Breakfast, Burgers or Dinner, this place has you covered. A real taste of Lancaster County.

Excellent food, reasonable prices. I went there today and got a hot beef with fries. It was sooo lean. Good stuff the chocolate cake with white icing was delicious and moist. This reminds me of when I was younger. In Maryland where I am originally from, there was a resturant called The White Coffee Pot. The food and the atmosphere remind me of this time. I will recommend this place even to tourists. I love it!

For starters my mother found a hair in her food and the waitress simply said "Im sorry to hear that" and we were one of three tables in the building and after receiving our meals our waitress never returned. Our cups sat there empty for the entire meal. And the mashed potatoes were fake with gravy that looks and has a texture much like mucus. Very bad experience.

Hands down this place is 10,000 times better then shady maple. An far cheaper too. Ya get treated like family. Its been family owned from day one an probably will stay family owned till last day. The staff is always quick to make ya smile. The food is basically homecooked. Only down fall is its cash only.

Hands down the worst food Ive ever eaten! The sausage gravy looked like semen and the potatoes were burnt, and we were the only 3 people in the restaurant! Terrible service!
