Id been told this place was a "hidden gem" by my new neighbors who are from this area, so finally we decided to try it. Maybe its because we went on a Saturday night, but the service was very rushed; the waitress practically ripped the menu out of my hand the second I finished ordering, and I couldnt find her to ask for more crunchy noodles. I did like that our water glasses were frequently refilled by the water waiter, thats a big plus for me. This is an old school Chinese restaurant which I have always looked for (I got tired of buffets and takeout places). No free soda refills; cans only. The sweet and sour chicken was the best Id ever had; light and crunchy, not heavy and greasy! I like the crunchy noodles, widest Id ever seen! My son has General Tso chicken and he said it was very good. I also like that this place gives you a choice of chicken fried rice, brown rice or white rice. Most places, its either white rice or pork fried rice, neither of which I eat. My only complaint is that their prices are higher and portions smaller.

Taste Queen should be called Waste Queen because their food tastes like waste. What a "waste" of $56. The food was incredibly bland and off tasting. The pork fried rice was completely flavorless except for a hint of dishwasher detergent. The soup should be called soap because it tasted like Safeguard. Do you like the flavor of fried paper towels? Then you will love the spring rolls and egg rolls. The fish tasted fishy, like it had died five years earlier and was just pulled out of the river. The spare ribs were very fatty, tough, and old tasting, as always for a low-end Chinese restaurant. The ginger salad had a Play-dough-like sauce and brown lettuce. The sweet and sour sauce was just sugar, ketchup, and vinegar. Do you like rotten mangos and spoiled poultry? If so, you will love Waste Queens mango chicken. As the final nail in the coffin of awfulness, the old woman who took my order was mean, arrogant, sweaty, and smelly. She must be the actual Waste Queen.

This is my go to Chinese Restaurant. The food is always consistent and I like the option to order from both the Chinese and Japanese menu. The reason that I could not give the restaurant the full 5 stars is that the staff are not always pleasant and have treated me as more of a bother then a customer. In addition when ordering takeout they charge you extra for the crispy noodles even though they are usually unlimited and free at most other restaurants. So overall 4/5 stars. I would recommend eating here if you are in the mood for good food and not there for the surrounding environment.

Hit or miss. More often than not the food is boring but on occasion its good by local standards. I guess that it depends on who the cook is. The staff is always cold and impersonal, like they own the world and you are bothering them, but I guess that goes with the territory. If the food was always as good as it has been at times I would have given five stars. But if you really want the best of the best Chinese, as in light years better, its worth the trip to Center Citys Chinatown all-you-can-eat $3.99 buffets.

i have been to a lot of chinese food restaurants and i have to say this is the best food i have tasted in long time. hongkong style cantonese cooking. the place is classy love it. i hope they keep the original chinese cook and do not try to save money and hire mexicans, i have seen many good restaurants do this to save money and the quality when way down. and they then went out of business

Very disappointed in their sushi. Not fresh at all. It was the worst sushi I ever ate.If you like chinese food, this place might be ok, but dont order sushi. I know how fresh sushi suppose to be. They are chinese restaurant, not japanese restaurant. It was worse then the chinese buffet sushi. Dont recommend to those who love japanese food.

This place was pretty good! My friend and I ordered Beef Lo Mein & Sweet Sour Chicken, both were pretty good! The waitress was nice although service was kind of slow. Their sushi was great though! I recommend the sweetheart roll! All in all I probably will return!

Me and my boyfriend love this place! It is definitely our go to Chinese restaurant. Great variety of food that doesnt taste like the traditional and greasy Chinese food. Such a friendly and polite staff too!

My family always find the staff unfriendly and rude especially the woman at the front. We finally decided the food is absolutely nothing special. We decided to find a friendlier Chinese food restaurant!

Horrible, boring, overpriced Americanized Chinese food. The portions are very small and none of the food is fresh. All of the ingredients seem to come from cans or a freezer.
